Description

Method for transmitting data and method for providing filtering information
Technical Field
The invention proceeds from a device or a method of the type according to the independent claims. The subject of the invention is also a computer program.
Background
Vehicle data CAN be transmitted, for example, via a CAN bus between the head unit of the vehicle and the smart phone.
Disclosure of Invention
Against this background, a method for transmitting data between a mobile terminal and a main unit of a vehicle for processing vehicle data, a main unit, furthermore a method for providing filtering information for filtering vehicle data which can be called by the main unit of the vehicle, a mobile terminal and a corresponding computer program are proposed with the solutions presented here according to the independent claims. Advantageous developments and improvements of the device specified in the independent claims can be achieved by the measures implemented in the dependent claims.
A method for transmitting data between a mobile terminal device and a main unit of a vehicle for processing vehicle data is proposed, wherein the method comprises the following steps:
Providing identification information for identifying the master unit to a communication interface to the mobile terminal device; and
The filtering information for filtering the vehicle data, which is generated in the case of using the identification information, is received through the communication interface.
The main unit may be understood as a so-called head unit or a central computer, for example, having a display unit of an infotainment system of a vehicle. For example, the tachometer and other components of the vehicle CAN be connected to the main unit via a CAN bus. The vehicle data may be, for example, sensor data provided by sensors of the vehicle. A mobile terminal device is understood to be a mobile phone, in particular a smart phone or a portable computer, such as a tablet or a notebook. The identification information may be, for example, a version number or identification number, a device type, or GPS data regarding the location of the master unit. The communication interface may be implemented, for example, as a component of the main unit. In particular, the communication interface may be a radio interface for wireless transmission of data between the mobile terminal device and the main unit. The filter information can be understood, for example, as a selection of defined filter criteria, by means of which the vehicle data can be filtered. The filter criteria may be selected in accordance with the identification information.
The solution described here is based on the insight that the main unit of the vehicle can receive filter information which enables what data are influenced from the outside in what form to be transmitted between the main unit and the mobile terminal. For example, it can be influenced by means of a corresponding method for flexible transmission of vehicle data, whether data are transmitted from the main unit into the cloud.
According to one embodiment, the method may comprise the step of filtering the vehicle data using the filtering information in order to obtain filtered vehicle data. Additionally or alternatively, the filtered vehicle data may be transmitted to the communication interface in the step of transmitting. The vehicle data to be filtered CAN be read in via a suitable interface, for example a CAN bus, to the control device or to at least one sensor of the vehicle. By means of this embodiment it is achieved that only certain vehicle data are transmitted to the communication interface, for example depending on the type of master unit or vehicle.
According to a further embodiment, the filtered vehicle data may be transmitted to the communication interface in the step of transmitting, so that the filtered vehicle data is transmitted to the server by the mobile terminal device. Thus, the central processing of the vehicle data can be realized.
Advantageously, information about the type or the degree of detail of the vehicle data, the transmission mode or the transmission interval for transmitting the vehicle data is provided as the filter information in the step of receiving. The vehicle data can thus be filtered by means of different criteria.
According to another embodiment, a version number or an identification number of the master unit, information about the type or geographical location of the master unit may be provided as identification information in the step of providing. The geographical location can be understood in particular as a filtering criterion. The filter of the vehicle data can thus be adapted, for example, to the legal location of the country in which the master unit is located exactly.
In addition, the identification information may be provided through a communication interface in response to a connection structure between the main unit and the mobile terminal device in the providing step. Thereby, an error-free and reliable data transmission between the main unit and the mobile terminal device can be ensured.
The solution described here also enables a main unit having a unit which is designed to carry out and/or control the method according to one of the preceding embodiments.
Furthermore, the solution presented here implements a method for providing filtering information for filtering vehicle data that can be called up by a main unit of a vehicle, wherein the method comprises the following steps:
Reading in identification information for identifying the main unit through a communication interface of the main unit;
a server interface for sending the identification information to the server;
Receiving, through the server interface, filtering information for filtering the vehicle data generated by the server using the identification information; and
The filtering information is forwarded to the communication interface.
A server is currently understood to mean a data processing unit which is spatially remote from the mobile device and/or which can be connected to the mobile device, for example, by means of a radio link. According to one embodiment, the method may include the optional step of transmitting the filtered vehicle data to the server interface with the filtered information. Thus enabling central processing of the filtered vehicle data.
Finally, the solution presented here implements a mobile terminal device having a unit configured for implementing and/or controlling the method for providing filtering information according to one of the aforementioned embodiments.
The aforementioned method may be implemented in the form of software or hardware or a mixture of software and hardware in a head unit or a mobile terminal device, for example.
Also advantageous is a computer program product or a computer program with a program code which can be stored on a machine-readable carrier or a storage medium, such as a semiconductor memory, a hard disk memory or an optical memory, and which is intended in particular when the program product or the program is implemented on a computer or a device for executing, realizing and/or controlling the steps of the method according to one of the preceding embodiments.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic diagram of the exchange of information between a main unit 100 (also referred to as a head unit) according to one embodiment and a mobile terminal device 102 (here a smart phone) according to one embodiment. The information exchange shown in fig. 1 is basically used to collect data for selecting filtering information.
The main unit 100, which is for example part of an infotainment system of a vehicle 103, is configured for outputting identification information 104 to the mobile terminal device 102 via a communication interface 106 of the main unit 100. The identification information 104 is, for example, head unit information about the type of head unit or about the corresponding version number and identification number. The identification information 104 is thus used to identify the master unit 100. Further, the main unit 100 is configured to receive, via the communication interface 106, the filter information 108 generated in the case of using the identification information 104. The filtering information 108 is used to filter vehicle data, which is transmitted, for example, from sensors or control devices of the vehicle 103 to the main unit 100. According to this embodiment, the filter information 108 is sent from the mobile terminal device 102 to the communication interface 106.
According to one embodiment, the main unit 100 is configured to provide the identification information 104 through the communication interface 106 in response to a connection structure between the communication interface 106 and the mobile terminal device 102. The connection structure is realized for example wirelessly via a mobile data connection, a WLAN connection or bluetooth.
Optionally, the mobile terminal device 102 is configured to read in the identification information 104 and forward it to the server interface 110 to the server 112. The server 112 is, for example, a cloud server that may be wirelessly coupled with the mobile terminal device 102 similar to the main unit 110.
The mobile terminal device 102 is shown in fig. 1 outside the vehicle 103 only for better recognizability. In reality, the mobile terminal device 102 is inside the vehicle 103 and is connected with the main unit 100 by a cable or wirelessly. For wireless communication, the mobile terminal device 102 and the main unit 100 should be spatially close. The vehicle data is thus not received by the mobile terminal device 102 outside the vehicle 103 but inside the vehicle 103.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic diagram of the exchange of information between a main unit 100 according to one embodiment and a mobile terminal device 102 according to one embodiment. Shown is an exchange of information between the various components in fig. 1 for performing a filtering method for filtering data by means of the main unit 100.
According to this embodiment, the server 112 is configured to generate the filter information 108 using the identification information 104. The filter information 108 here represents a filter arrangement for filtering data which can be called up by the main unit 100 and which is to be transmitted to the mobile terminal device 102, in relation to the determined identification features of the main unit 100. As already described with reference to fig. 1, mobile terminal device 102 is configured to forward the filter information 108 thus generated to communication interface 106.
The main unit 100 is designed to read in vehicle data 206 provided by at least one sensor 202 or a control device 204 of the vehicle via a suitable vehicle interface 200 and to filter the vehicle data using the filter information 108 in order to obtain filtered vehicle data 208. According to the embodiment shown in fig. 2, the main unit 100 is configured for transmitting the filtered vehicle data 208 to the mobile terminal device 102 via the communication interface 106. Mobile terminal device 102 may optionally be configured to transmit filtered vehicle data 208 to server interface 110 for further processing by server 112.
Fig. 3 shows a flow chart of one embodiment of a method 300 for transmitting data between a master unit and a mobile terminal device. The method 300 may be performed or controlled, for example, in connection with the master unit described above with fig. 1 and 2. Here, the identification information for identifying the master unit is provided to the communication interface to the mobile terminal device in step 310. In a further step 320, the filter information for filtering the vehicle data, which is generated using the identification information, is received via the communication interface.
According to an embodiment, information about the type or the degree of detail of the vehicle data to be transferred, about the transmission mode, e.g. encryption, or about the transmission interval when the vehicle data is transmitted is received as filtering information in step 320.
FIG. 4 illustrates a flow chart of one embodiment of a method 400 for providing filtered information. The method 400 may be performed or controlled, for example, in connection with the mobile terminal device described above with respect to fig. 1 and 2.
The method 400 comprises a step 410, in which identification information for identifying the master unit is read in via a communication interface of the master unit. The identification information is sent to the server interface to the server in a continuing step 420. Then, filtering information for filtering the vehicle data, which is generated by the server using the identification information, is received through the server interface in step 430. Finally the filter information is forwarded to the communication interface for further processing by the main unit in step 440.
The method described above with reference to fig. 3 and 4 allows targeted processing of vehicle data.
For example, the vehicle data can thus be occupied by further filters even after delivery of the vehicle to the customer or even after installation of the corresponding APP on the mobile terminal device.
The vehicle data can thus be opened or closed for a specific APP, for example.
It is also conceivable that the vehicle data is configured for a determined user group.
If the determined vehicle data is blocked during the filtering by the main unit, the vehicle data is not transmitted to the mobile terminal device at all. Thus, read together, for example by USB scanning, can be prevented.
The following filters or attributes may be considered, for example, for each individual vehicle data type:
whether the type of vehicle data allows delivery failure
At what intervals, if allowed
In what degree of detail, if allowed
Does data of the vehicle data type should be transmitted to the server
Data of the vehicle data type should be transmitted encrypted
For example, the corresponding filter system comprises a server connected to the internet, a smart phone as a mobile terminal device, a main unit or head unit arranged in the vehicle and different types of vehicle sensors.
In this case, filter information, for example a white list or a black list of certain vehicle data types, is temporarily provided on the server, which filter information can map different APP and vehicle types. According to an embodiment, filtered information with attributes such as level of detail or transmission interval is accumulated.
Once the mobile terminal device is connected to the master unit, the master unit transmits all information (which is necessary for later selection of the filtering information), for example information about the type of master unit, about version number and identification number or about location data.
If the mobile terminal device is connected to the internet, it establishes a connection to a server, for example, and transmits identification information about the currently connected master unit in a suitable format, for example in XML format.
By means of these data, the server collates and transmits important filter information back to the mobile terminal device, which in turn transmits the filter information to the main unit.
The sensor data may be continuously entered into the main unit. The sensor data is filtered according to the filtering information and transmitted to the mobile terminal device after the filtering. According to an embodiment, the mobile terminal device forwards the filtered data to the server as long as this is noted in the filtering information.
Fig. 5 shows a schematic diagram of a main unit 100 according to an embodiment, for example as described above with the aid of fig. 1 to 4. The main unit 100 comprises a providing unit 510 for providing the identification information 104 and a receiving unit 520 for receiving the filter information 108.
According to one embodiment, the main unit 100 is implemented with an optional filtering unit 530 for filtering the vehicle data 206 using the filtering information 108. The filtering unit 530 is further configured for forwarding the filtered vehicle data 208 using the filtering information 108 to an optional transmitting unit 540 for transmitting the filtered vehicle data 208 via the communication interface 106.
Fig. 6 shows a schematic diagram of a mobile terminal device 102 according to one embodiment. The mobile terminal device 102 is for example a mobile terminal device as described above with the aid of fig. 1 to 4.
According to this embodiment, the mobile terminal device 102 includes a reading-in unit 610 for reading in the identification information 104, a transmitting unit 620 for transmitting the identification information 104 read in by the reading-in unit 610 to a server interface, a receiving unit 630 for receiving the filter information 108, and a forwarding unit 640 for forwarding the filter information 108 received by the receiving unit 630 to a communication interface of a main unit.
According to an alternative embodiment, the reading-in unit 610 is designed to additionally read in the vehicle data 208 filtered by the main unit and forward it to the transmitting unit 620. The sending unit 620 forwards the filtered vehicle data 208 to the server interface.
If an embodiment comprises an "and/or" connection between a first feature and a second feature, this can be interpreted as having not only the first feature but also the second feature according to one embodiment and either having only the first feature or having only the second feature according to another embodiment.
