Fig. 1A is a schematic view of a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the invention, and fig. 1B is a schematic view of an interior of the flexible display device shown in fig. 1A.
As shown in fig. 1A and fig. 1B, a flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a flexible display screen 100 and a fixing device 200, where the flexible display screen 100 can be rolled into the flexible display device or rolled out from the flexible display device to display a picture, and the fixing device 200 can be used to fix the position of the flexible display screen 100, make the rolled length of the flexible display screen controllable, or make the flexible display screen fixed in the flexible display device.
The flexible display screen 100 is used for displaying images, and compared with a flat display screen, the flexible display screen 100 uses a flexible substrate to replace a rigid substrate such as a glass substrate, so that the flexible display screen 100 can be bent, folded, or curled. In this embodiment, the flexible display screen 100 can be rolled back into the flexible display device, so that the space occupied by the flexible display screen is reduced, and the flexible display screen has a smaller volume and is convenient to carry. In addition, after the flexible display screen is unfolded, the flexible display screen has a larger size for displaying images, and the requirement of a user on a large-size display screen can be met.
Fig. 2A is a schematic diagram of connection between a rotating drum and a flexible display screen according to an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 2B is a schematic diagram of the flexible display screen wound around the rotating drum in fig. 2A, and fig. 2C is a cross-sectional view taken along line CC' in fig. 2B.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 2A, 2B and 2C, the fixing device 200 includes a fixed shaft 210 and a rotating drum 220 sleeved on the fixed shaft 210, the rotating drum 220 is rotatable around the fixed shaft 210, one end of the flexible display screen 100 is fixed on the rotating drum 220, and the flexible display screen 100 can be wound on the rotating drum 220 or unwound from the rotating drum 220 as the rotating drum 220 rotates, so as to achieve the contraction and extension of the flexible display screen. In order to enable the flexible display to be fixed in any contracted and extended position during the contraction and extension around the rotary drum 220, the fixing device 200 provided in the present application further includes a restraining cap 230. When the flexible display is in a particular contracted and extended state, which is called a locked state, the drum cannot rotate around the fixed shaft any more.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 3A, fig. 3A is a schematic cross-sectional view of a fixing device in a locked state according to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the cross-sectional view is a plane on which an axial line of the fixing device in fig. 1B is located.
The restricting cap 230 is a hollow cylinder having a bottom surface 233, which is fitted over the fixed shaft 210 and is rotatable around the fixed shaft 210, an end of the restricting cap 230 opposite to the bottom surface 233 is fitted over the drum 220, the restricting cap 230 and the drum 220 have a coupling portion at a portion where they are fitted into each other, the coupling portion enables the restricting cap 230 and the drum 220 to have the same rotation state with respect to the fixed shaft 210, and the coupling portion enables the restricting cap 230 and the drum 220 to move relatively in a first direction. Thus, when the restraining cap is rotated or fixed relative to the fixed shaft, the drum is also correspondingly rotated or fixed relative to the fixed shaft. ,.
With continued reference to fig. 3A, the rotation or fixation of the restraint cap 230 relative to the fixed shaft is accomplished by the chuck 211 on the fixed shaft 210, i.e., the chuck 211 can be used to fix the restraint cap 230. Specifically, the fixing shaft 210 extends in a first direction, and has a chuck 211 at one end thereof, and the chuck 211 may be integrally formed with the fixing shaft 210, adhesively coupled thereto, or mechanically coupled thereto (e.g., by a screw thread). The bottom surface 233 of the restricting cap 230 has a restricting hole 231, the shape of the chuck 211 is the same as the shape of the restricting hole 231, and when the restricting cap 210 moves in the first direction toward the drum 210, the restricting hole 231 engages with the chuck 211, that is, the chuck 211 enters the restricting hole 231. In this case, the restricting cap 230 is fixed by the chuck 211, the restricting cap 230 cannot rotate around the fixing shaft 210, and thus the position of the drum 220 is fixed, and thus, the fixing of the flexible display panel 100 wound around the drum 220 at any contracted and extended position can be achieved.
Fig. 3B is a schematic cross-sectional view of a fixing device in an unlocked state according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3B, the unlocked state means that the drum can always rotate freely around the fixed shaft, and when the restricting cap 230 moves away from the drum 220 in the first direction, the restricting hole 231 of the restricting cap 230 is separated from the chuck 211 of the fixed shaft 210, and at this time, the fixed shaft 210 does not restrict the rotation of the restricting cap 230, and the restricting cap 230 can rotate freely around the fixed shaft 210, so that the drum 220 can also rotate freely around the fixed shaft 210, and the fixing device 200 is in the unlocked state.
In the flexible display device provided by this embodiment, the flexible display screen 100 can be reeled on the drum, the fixing shaft 210 in the fixing device 200 can limit the pivoting of the limiting cap 230 through the chuck 211, and at the same time, the limiting cap 230 limits the drum 220, and the position of the drum 220 is fixed, thereby realizing the fixation of the position of the flexible display screen 100, avoiding the problems that the unfolding length of the flexible display screen is not controllable or the flexible display device is separated from the flexible display device in the carrying process, and improving the use convenience.
Alternatively, the chuck 211 has a first thickness t in order to form a good and firm engagement state with the restriction hole 231. If the thickness of the chuck 211 is too small, it may cause a mis-engagement or a weak engagement between the chuck 211 and the restriction hole 231, and optionally, the thickness of the restriction cap 230 at the restriction hole 231 may be the same as the thickness of the chuck 211. In the in-service use, can set for the thickness of chuck according to particular case, make it guarantee between the restriction hole of chuck and restriction cap block firm can, this embodiment does not specifically limit the thickness of chuck.
Preferably, in order to prevent the limiting cap 230 from falling off from the fixed shaft 210 during the use process and causing inconvenience, in the present design, the limiting cap 230 further includes a first blocking plate 232, the first blocking plate 232 is parallel to the bottom surface 233 of the limiting cap 230 and is located between the bottom surface 233 of the limiting cap 230 and the drum 220, the first blocking plate 232 has a second circular hole 2321 at the center, the second circular hole 2321 is smaller than the size of the chuck 211, the fixed shaft 210 passes through the second circular hole 2321, since the second circular hole is smaller than the chuck 211, it can be ensured that when the chuck 211 approaches the first blocking plate 232 in the first direction, the chuck 211 is blocked by the first blocking plate 232 and cannot pass through the first blocking plate 232 from the side of the first blocking plate 232 away from the drum 220 to the other side of the first blocking plate 232, so that the chuck 211 at one end thereof is located between the first blocking plate 232 and the limiting hole 231 of the limiting cap 230 and can move back in the first direction between the first blocking plate 232 and the limiting hole 231, the locked and unlocked states of the fixing device 200 are achieved.
The manner of attachment of the drum 220 to the nesting portion of the restraint cap 230 and the manner of engagement of the restraint apertures 231 with the chuck may be described with particular reference to fig. 4-7.
Fig. 4 is a plan view of a coupling portion of a fixing device according to an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 5A is a sectional view taken along line AA' of fig. 3A according to an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 5B is a plan view of a chuck and a limiting hole in a fixing device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Fig. 4 shows one way of connecting the nesting portion between the drum 220 and the restraint cap 230 in the fixture 200. As shown in fig. 4, the drum 220 is threadedly coupled to the limit cap 230. In this embodiment, the screw 242B of the restricting cap 230 is rotatably coupled to the screw 242a of the drum 220, so that the restricting cap 230 and the drum are relatively moved in the first direction, and the tight coupling between the restricting cap 230 and the drum 220 is achieved, and at the same time, the chuck 211 of the fixing shaft 210 and the restricting hole 231 are relatively moved, so that the chuck 211 enters and leaves the restricting hole 231, and correspondingly, the chuck 211 and the restricting hole 231 are also coupled by a screw coupling, as shown in fig. 5A and 5B, the chuck 211 and the restricting hole 231 are both circular, the side surface of the chuck 211 has the screw 211a, the surface of the restricting hole 231 has the screw 231B, and the restricting hole 231 rotates relative to the chuck 211 and is coupled to the chuck 211. With this connection, the limit cap 230 can be fixed to some extent by the fixing shaft 210, and the limit cap 230 can be tightly combined with the rotary drum 220 by the screw connection with the rotary drum 220, and can be used to fix the rotary drum 220 to some extent, and the position of the flexible display screen 100 on the rotary drum 220 that is wound and unwound is not changed without an external force.
Fig. 6A is a plan view of a coupling portion of a fixing device according to another embodiment of the present invention, fig. 6B is a sectional view taken along a line BB 'in fig. 3A in one embodiment, fig. 6C is a sectional view taken along a line BB' in fig. 3A in another embodiment, and fig. 6A, 6B, and 6C show another coupling manner of a nesting portion between the drum 220 and the constraining cap 230 in the fixing device 200.
As shown in fig. 6A, 6B and 6C, the connection portion 240 between the rotary drum 220 and the limiting cap 230 has a sliding slot connection manner, the sliding slot 241 extends along the first direction, and the limiting cap 230 can realize relative sliding between the sliding slot 241 and the rotary drum 220, in this design, the actual relative movement track between the limiting cap 230 and the rotary drum 220 is limited in the first direction, and in the direction of rotating around the fixed shaft 210, the two can be seen as an integral structure, i.e. the limiting cap 230 and the rotary drum 220 rotate around the fixed shaft 210 in a consistent manner, if the limiting cap 230 is fixed (the limiting cap 230 is stationary relative to the fixed shaft 210), the rotary drum 220 is also fixed, and can not rotate around the fixed shaft 210 any more.
Specifically, the sliding groove 241 includes a sliding rail 2411 and a sliding bar 2412, the sliding rail 2411 is in a groove shape, the sliding bar 2412 can be embedded in the groove of the sliding rail 2411, and the sliding rail 2411 and the sliding bar 2412 can slide relatively along the extending direction of the two. In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 6B, the slide 2411 is located on the drum 220 and the slide 2412 is located on the limit cap 230, and in another embodiment, as shown in fig. 6C, the slide 2411 is located on the limit cap 230 and the slide 2412 is located on the drum 220.
Correspondingly, the shapes of the chuck 211 and the limiting hole 231 are specifically shown in fig. 7A to 7C. FIG. 7A is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA ' in FIG. 3A in another embodiment, FIG. 7B is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA ' in FIG. 3A in yet another embodiment, and FIG. 7C is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA ' in FIG. 3A in yet another embodiment.
Referring to fig. 7A and 7B, the chuck 211 has a polygonal shape. Fig. 7A and 7B show two shapes of the chuck 211, and the role of the chuck 211 having a polygonal shape is described by taking fig. 7A as an example. In fig. 7A, the chuck 211 is hexagonal, the chuck 211 and the limiting hole 231 have the same shape, the chuck 211 and the limiting hole 231 are in an engaged state, the chuck 211 limits the rotational movement of the limiting hole 231 around the fixed shaft 210, that is, the chuck 211 limits the rotational movement of the limiting cap 230 around the fixed shaft 210, and the drum 220 is also fixed by the mutual limitation between the limiting cap 230 and the drum 220, and the fixing device 200 is in a locked state. When the restricting cap 230 is away from the drum 220 in the direction of the sliding slot 241, the restricting hole 231 is disengaged from the chuck 211, and the restricting cap 230 can rotate around the fixing shaft 210 together with the drum 220 while the fixing device 200 is in an unlocked state, as shown in fig. 3B. The chuck 211 shown in fig. 7B is pentagonal and functions and is implemented in the same manner as in fig. 7A, and thus, is not described in detail.
Therefore, the locking state and the unlocking state of the fixing device can be converted by the limiting cap 230 through relative sliding with the rotary drum 220 in a sliding groove connection mode of the nesting part between the limiting cap 230 and the rotary drum 220 and a polygonal clamping mode between the chuck 211 and the limiting hole 231, the operation is convenient and fast, and the use experience of a user is improved.
Alternatively, the chuck 211 may be shaped as shown in fig. 7C, the circumference of the chuck 211 has a plurality of protrusions 2111, the limiting hole has a plurality of recesses 2311, and the protrusions 2111 and the recesses 2311 are engaged with each other, and as a whole, the chuck 211 and the limiting hole 231 are in a snap-fit state, the chuck 211 limits the rotational movement of the limiting hole 231 around the fixing shaft 210, that is, the chuck 211 limits the rotational movement of the limiting cap 230 around the fixing shaft 210, and the drum 220 cannot rotate around the fixing shaft 210 due to the limitation of the drum 220 by the limiting cap 230. The fixed effect of fixed axle 210 to limiting cap 230 can be realized to this design, and the meshing between a plurality of archs 2111 on chuck 211 and a plurality of sunken 2311 on limiting hole 231 makes the block state between the two more firm, and the simple operation, promotes user's use experience.
It should be noted that the shapes of the chucks listed above are merely illustrative and not intended to limit the present invention, and it is understood that a circular chuck is suitable for use in the case where the limit cap and the bowl are screwed together, and that a non-circular chuck may be used when the limit cap and the bowl are screwed together in other ways, and the limit cap and the bowl are relatively movable only in the first direction.
Optionally, the number of the sliding grooves 241 is n, where n ≧ 2, and n is an integer. The use of the plurality of sliding grooves 241 may make the relative sliding between the restricting cap 230 and the rotating drum 220 more smooth. Fig. 6A to 6C show a design having 4 chutes, but the present invention is not limited to the specific number of chutes, and in practical use, the number may be set as appropriate according to the specific situation.
Preferably, the sliding grooves 241 are uniformly arranged, and with the design, the stress at each sliding groove 241 between the limiting cap 230 and the rotating drum 220 is the same or substantially the same, so that the relative movement between the limiting cap 230 and the rotating drum 220 is smoother, and the operation is convenient.
In the flexible display device provided by the present application, the flexible display screen 100 can be rolled on the drum or rolled out for displaying by the rotation of the drum 220 around the fixed shaft 210, in order to reduce the damage to the flexible display screen that may be caused in the process and ensure that the flexible display screen is rolled on the drum 220 neatly, the flexible display device provided by the present application further has the following features.
As shown in fig. 2A to 2C, the rotating drum 220 is a hollow cylinder, and when the flexible display screen 100 is wound around the rotating drum 220, the bending curvature of the rotating drum 220 is the same as or substantially the same as the bending curvature of the side surface of the rotating drum 220, so that the flexible display screen 100 is not damaged due to an excessive bending angle, that is, an excessive bending condition does not occur, but the rotating drum 220 in the flexible display device provided by the present invention may have other shapes, for example, the cross section of the rotating drum has a polygon such as a pentagon, a hexagon, and the like, which is not specifically limited by the present invention.
With continued reference to fig. 2A-2C, the drum 220 has two opposing bottom surfaces, each bottom surface having a first circular hole 221, and the fixed shaft 210 passes through the first circular hole 221 such that the drum 220 can rotate around the fixed shaft 210. The size of the first circular hole 221 is the same or substantially the same as the cross-sectional shape of the stationary shaft 210 (excluding the chuck 211), so that the drum 220 can rotate around the stationary shaft 210, and the non-fit between the first circular hole 221 and the stationary shaft 210 is avoided. The size of the first circular hole 221 is not particularly limited, and may be set according to actual conditions, and it is considered that the above effects are satisfied within the scope of the present application.
In order to limit the movement of the drum 220 in the first direction, the present application provides the flexible display device in which the fixed shaft 210 further includes a second barrier.
