Claims (10)

1. Device (10, 110, 210, 211) for packaging at least one cosmetic article (29, 42), comprising:
-a base (12, 212) defining internally a storage compartment (28) for housing a first cosmetic article (29);
-a plate (16, 216) rotatably mounted on the base along a first axis (46), the plate being movable between a closed configuration in which the plate seals the storage compartment and an open configuration, the plate comprising a first edge (52) arranged along the first axis and a second edge (54, 254, 255) remote from the first edge;
-a cover (14, 214) rotatably mounted along a second axis (66, 266), the cover being movable between a closed position in which it covers the plate and an open position, the cover comprising an inner surface (60, 260) oriented towards the base in the closed position;
such that, in a plane parallel to the second axis (66, 266) and containing the first axis (46), the first axis forms an angle (a) with the projection of the second axis which is less than or equal to 90 °;
the method is characterized in that:
-a housing (37) is provided in the plate (16, 216) for housing a second cosmetic article (42), the housing comprising a bottom (38) and a side wall (40) adapted to deform elastically to increase in diameter under the influence of the bottom and the second axis moving closer together;
-said device is adapted to adopt a contact configuration in which said second edge (54, 254, 255) of said panel is in contact with said inner surface (60, 260) of said cover, said cover being moved towards said closed position by sliding said second edge against said inner surface, thus causing said panel to tend to move towards said closed configuration; and is
-in the contact configuration, the bottom (38) of the housing is in contact with the substrate, moving the panel towards the closed configuration, thus causing the bottom to tend to move closer to the second axis.
2. Device according to claim 1, wherein the elastically deformable side wall (40) of the housing (37) forms a seal (56, 156) such that, in the closed configuration of the panel, it is compressed by the lateral surface (31) of the substrate, so as to close tightly the storage compartment (28).
3. The device according to claim 2, wherein the side wall (40) forming the seal (56, 156) has a circular profile.
4. The device (10, 110, 210) of claim 1, wherein the first axis (46) and the second axis (66) are substantially parallel.
5. The device (10, 110) of claim 4 wherein the base has a top surface (24) positioned to face an inner surface (60) of the cover in the closed position, the top surface including two substantially parallel opposing edges (20, 21), the first axis extending along one of the two substantially parallel opposing edges and the second axis extending along the other of the two substantially parallel opposing edges.
6. The device (211) according to claim 1, wherein the first axis (46) and the second axis (266) are substantially perpendicular.
7. The device of claim 1, wherein the cover (14, 214) includes a mirror (62), the inner surface (60, 260) being a reflective surface of the mirror.
8. Device according to claim 1, wherein the first cosmetic article (29) is a cosmetic product and the second cosmetic article (42) is an applicator of the cosmetic product.
9. A method of using the apparatus of claim 1, comprising the steps of:
-in the open configuration, the panel (16, 216) is folded down towards the base (12, 212); then the
-in the open position, the cover (14, 214) is folded down towards the base so as to place the device into the contact configuration; then the
-the cover (14, 214) is moved to the closed position, moving the cover causing the second edge (54, 254, 255) of the panel to slide against the inner surface (60, 260) of the cover so as to move the panel to the closed configuration.
10. Method of using a device according to claim 2, the device comprising a mechanism (22, 23) for locking the lid in the closed position, the method comprising the steps of:
-in the closed position, the lid (14) is unlocked; then the
-the seal (56, 156) being pressed by a side surface (31) of the base in the closed configuration is deformed when moved away from the side surface, so as to pivot the plate (16) towards the open configuration.
