背景技术
对于为洗涤皮肤提供成本效益和方便的方法而言,清洁棒是熟知的。典型的清洁棒包含皂和/或合成表面活性剂和各种其他成分以提供功能和美学上吸引人的清洁体验。
一种用于提供具有良好发泡的清洁棒的方法例示于US 5,372,751(Rys-Cicciari等人)中并涉及表面活性剂的特定组合的用途。然而申请人已认识到需要全新的清洁棒组合物,所述清洁棒组合物提供更加增强的起泡同时保持减少的刺激,并且/或者易于制造。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种清洁棒,其包含非皂阴离子表面活性剂、具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的聚甘油酯、疏水粘结剂和水溶性棒硬化剂。清洁棒具有约8或更低的pH。

具体实施方式
我们发现,本发明的清洁棒表现出独特且意料不到的特性组合,包括高发泡特性、相对低的刺激和易于制造性。这使得本发明的清洁棒高度期望用于化妆品或清洁组合物中以用于皮肤护理,包括儿童和婴儿的皮肤。本发明的清洁棒包含非皂阴离子表面活性剂、疏水粘结剂和水溶性棒硬化剂。清洁棒还包含具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的聚甘油酯并且具有约8或更低的pH。出人意料的是,将聚甘油酯掺入这些相对较低的pH清洁棒中得到容易处理并提供比先前可能想到的更好的发泡的温和清洁棒组合物。

非皂阴离子表面活性剂

优选的非皂阴离子表面活性剂包括:酰基羟乙基磺酸盐,例如椰油酰基羟乙基磺酸钠;烷基磺基琥珀酸盐,例如月桂酰基磺基琥珀酸二钠;α-磺基脂肪酸酯,例如2-磺基月桂酸甲酯钠;α-磺基脂肪酸,例如2-磺基月桂酸二钠;烷基甘油醚磺酸盐,例如椰油基甘油醚磺酸钠;烷基硫酸盐,例如椰油基硫酸钠,以及它们中两种或更多种的组合。尤其优选的是酰基羟乙基磺酸盐。在某些优选的实施方案中,酰基羟乙基磺酸盐为椰油酰基羟乙基磺酸钠。
在某些优选的实施方案中,基于清洁棒的总重量计,本发明的组合物包含约30重量%或更多至约70重量%或更少的总非皂阴离子表面活性剂。在某些更优选的实施方案中,组合物包含约35重量%至约60重量%的总非皂阴离子表面活性剂,甚至更优选地约35重量%至约55重量%,并且最优选地约40重量%至约50重量%的总非皂阴离子表面活性剂。
聚甘油酯

令申请人惊奇的是,本文所述的包含PGE≤40的清洁棒与不含PGE≤40或含有峰值熔点大于约40C的PGE的相应棒相比确实显示出显著改善的起泡。
根据某些实施方案,PGE≤40的PG部分中的重复单元数为约2至20,更优选地约2至12,并且更优选地约4至10。PG重复单元数通常经由如US 8,961,945中教导的羟基基团测定来测定,该专利的内容据此全文并入本文。
根据某些实施方案,PGE≤40在组合物中以约0.1重量%或更高至约25重量%的浓度使用,更优选地在组合物中以约0.1重量%或更高至约10重量%,甚至更优选地以约0.1重量%或更高至约7重量%,并且甚至更优选地以约0.1重量%或更高至约5重量%的浓度使用。优选地,PGE≤40在组合物中的浓度为约1%至约10%,更优选地约1%至约7.5%,甚至更优选地约2%至约6%。
为获得良好的可加工性和使用特性,组合物用疏水粘结剂来稳定,所述疏水粘结剂作为粘结剂且作为增塑剂起作用以有利于棒的更好挤出和压印。如本文所用,“疏水粘结剂”是指包含疏水部分且大体上不溶于水的化合物。疏水粘结剂在室温下优选为固体,但在室温和升高的温度(≥30℃)下熔融或变为可锻的和/或可流动的。疏水粘结剂也可具有附加的功能诸如为待清洁皮肤的润肤剂。
合适的疏水粘结剂的种类的示例包括脂肪酸、脂肪醇、醇与脂肪酸的酯、多元醇酯、蜡、混合的甘油酯、三甘油酯、氢化三甘油酯、不饱和三甘油酯的氢化复分解产物、以及它们的组合。
适合的脂肪酸和脂肪醇包括具有约8至约24个碳原子的那些,诸如具有至少16个碳原子的那些,例如硬脂酸和甾醇。合适的醇与脂肪酸的酯包括具有至少约16个碳原子的那些,例如合成蜂蜡。合适的多元醇酯包括甘油酯诸如硬脂酸甘油酯,如二硬脂酸甘油酯;脱水山梨糖醇酯,如脱水山梨糖醇倍半硬脂酸酯或脱水山梨糖醇三硬脂酸酯,和甲基葡糖苷酯,如甲基葡糖二油酸酯或甲基葡糖二硬脂酸酯。
如本文所用,“蜡”是指具有高于约30℃的熔点的疏水化合物。所述蜡可为烃、动物的、植物的、矿物的或合成的。根据某些实施方案,蜡包括或选自直链或支链烷烃或烯烃、酮、二酮、伯/仲醇、醛、甾醇酯、萜烯、和酯,诸如具有范围为C12-C38的碳链长度的那些。根据某些优选的实施方案,蜡包括醇(甘油或不是甘油)和长链脂肪酸的酯。合适的天然存在的蜡包括蜂蜡、羊毛脂蜡、巴西棕榈(棕榈)蜡和荷荷巴油(霍霍巴油)种子蜡。合适的来源于凡士林的蜡包括石蜡、微晶蜡和凡士林。合适的混合的甘油酯包括具有至少约12的平均碳链长度的那些,例如椰油脂酸甘油酯、橄榄甘油酯、棕榈甘油酯和棕榈仁甘油酯。合适的三甘油酯包括牛油果(乳木果)黄油、可可(可可粉)种子黄油、荷荷巴(霍霍巴油)种子油和可可椰子(椰子)油。合适的氢化三甘油酯包括氢化C12-18三甘油酯、氢化蓖麻油和氢化霍霍巴油。不饱和三甘油酯的合适的氢化复分解产物包括氢化大豆聚甘油酯。
任何合适总量的疏水粘结剂均可用于本发明的清洁棒中。在某些实施方案中,疏水粘结剂的总浓度为5%至约50%。在某些优选的实施方案中,疏水粘结剂的总浓度为10%至约50%,优选地约15%至约50%,更优选地约20%至约50%,并且甚至更优选地20%至约40%。

根据本发明的某些实施方案,水可被包含在清洁棒中。水可作为其他成分的一部分间接加入或可有意加入以改善棒特性。根据一个实施方案,水在清洁棒中的浓度为约1%至约20%,优选地约2%至约15%,更优选地约3%至约12%,甚至更优选地约4%至约10%。

合适的皮肤有益剂的示例包括适于在小于约8的pH下使用的那些,并且可包括抗老化剂、抗微生物剂、抗痤疮剂,等等。一种合适的皮肤有益剂为抗微生物剂,包括有机酸及其盐,诸如α羟基酸,例如乙醇酸、乳酸;β羟基酸,例如水杨酸;和柠檬酸。抗微生物剂可以约0%至约4%诸如约0%至约2%的量存在。
本发明的清洁棒还可包含超亲水两亲共聚物(SAC)。合适的超亲水两亲共聚物的示例在US 8,258,250中有所描述。
为了增强清洁棒的温和及其他特性,本发明的清洁棒具有约8或更低的pH。根据某些实施方案,清洁棒具有约3至约8,优选地约4至约7,更优选地约4至约6的pH。为测定清洁棒的pH,制备包含溶解在去离子水中的1%清洁棒固体的溶液。溶液的pH然后通过ASTM方法(用玻璃电极测量水性溶液pH的E70–07标准测试方法)来测定。

本发明的清洁棒可由任何多种方法制得。根据某些实施方案,含水表面活性剂混合物通过如下来制备:将疏水粘结剂、非皂阴离子表面活性剂、水溶性棒硬化剂和水混合以使得混合物变成流体,从而允许组分的均匀混合。然而疏水粘结剂、非皂阴离子表面活性剂、水溶性棒硬化剂和水的相对比例可改变,通常,旨在用于最终清洁棒中的基本上整个制剂量的疏水粘结剂和非皂阴离子表面活性剂中的每种用于制备含水表面活性剂混合物。根据某些实施方案,仅总制剂量的一部分和/水溶性棒硬化剂用于制备含水表面活性剂混合物。根据某些实施方案,含水表面活性剂混合物包含至少约80%,优选地至少约90%的混合的非皂阴离子表面活性剂和疏水粘结剂,并且其余部分基本上由水溶性棒硬化剂和水组成。水在含水表面活性剂混合物中的量可为约0.25%至约20%,优选地约0.5%至约15%,更优选地约1%至约15%,甚至更优选地约2%至约15%,并且甚至更优选地约3%至约15%。

在某些实施方案中,将经由本发明制备的组合物优选地用作治疗或清洁人类身体的至少一部分的个人护理产品或用于该个人护理产品中。某些优选的个人护理产品的示例包括各种适合涂敷到身体的皮肤、毛发和/或阴道区域的产品,诸如洗发剂、洗手液、洗面奶和/或沐浴液、洗浴添加剂、凝胶、洗液、霜膏等。如上所论述,申请人意外地发现本发明方法提供了具有期望特性诸如起泡特性、减少的刺激、和/或改善的制造性中的一种或多种的个人护理产品。
本发明提供了治疗和/或清洁人类身体的方法,该方法包括使身体的至少一部分与本发明的组合物接触。针对包括但不限于痤疮、皱纹、皮炎、干燥、肌肉痛、瘙痒等多种病症中的任一种,某些优选的方法包括使哺乳动物的皮肤、毛发和/或阴道区域与本发明的组合物接触以清洁此类区域和/或治疗此类区域。在某些优选的实施方案中,接触步骤包括将本发明的组合物施用于人类皮肤、毛发或阴道区域。
本发明的清洁方法还可包括通常与清洁皮肤相关的多个附加的任选步骤中的任一个,包括(例如)起泡、冲洗步骤等。
实施例
本发明方法和以下实施例中使用了以下测试。
清洁棒泡沫测试:根据以下清洁棒泡沫测试来测量由清洁棒生成的泡沫的测定。根据本发明,使用棒形式的球剂产品来测定其在溶解和搅拌时的泡沫生成特性。清洁棒泡沫测试如下执行:通过将清洁棒形式的产品的刮擦物压缩到5000磅的圆柱球剂形状模具中(附:每个球剂的重量为0.65克)来制造球剂。为测定最大泡沫体积,通过将氯化钙溶解到去离子水中并加入到SITA R-2000泡沫测试仪的样品槽(可从Future Digital Scientific,Co.;Bethpage,N.Y.商购获得)中来制备硬水(100ppm Ca2+)溶液。对测试参数进行设置以重复三次测试(序列数=3),样品大小为250ml(填充体积=250ml),以每循坏15秒搅拌时间(搅拌时间=15秒)进行13个搅拌循坏(搅拌数=17),转子以1200RPM(转数=1200)旋转,温度设定为35℃±2℃。在其中仅搅拌Ca2+溶液的初始循环之后,将球剂加入到样品槽中(即,时间=15秒时)。采集每次搅拌循环(2至17次)结束时的泡沫体积数据,并测定三次测试的平均值和标准偏差。每个实施例的最大泡沫体积报告为第17次搅拌循环(255秒)后的值。
使用差示扫描量热法(DSC)的峰值熔点测试:根据以下DSC测试来测量PGE的峰值熔点的测定。称量出6-8mg PGE原材料样品并直接用于DSC测量。所用的仪器为DSC-Q200:来自TA Instruments,Inc.的热分析。使用加热-冷却-加热程序在-80℃至70℃之间以10℃/min循环,其中起始温度为25℃。测得的热流与温度的关系曲线允许通过峰位置和峰区域分析测定相变、其温度和焓。测得的热流曲线的示例示于图1中。在加热时从固态到液态(熔融)的相变通常导致热流曲线中峰值点下降(惯例是样品的热流是负的并来自样品阳性)。峰值熔点温度通过分析峰值位置来测定。峰值熔融温度是热流峰相对于峰基线具有最小值的温度。图2中示出了一个示例。
无限率粘度测试:在控制应力流变仪(AR-2000TM,TA Instruments Ltd.,NewCastle,DE,USA)上对适用的PGE的无限率粘度进行测定。在25.0±0.1℃下使用锥板几何结构(20mm直径,2°)进行稳态剪切速率扫描,施加速率为0.1至10弧度/秒。由RheologyAdvantage软件v4.1.10(TAInstruments Ltd.,New Castle,DE,USA)进行数据采集和分析。无限率粘度经由粘度与剪切速率数据与粘度交叉模型适配来计算。除非另外指明,否则粘度以厘泊(cps)给出。
清洁棒的制备:实施例E1、E2和C1至C3的清洁棒根据下面的过程来制备。在棒制备之前,将合成洗涤剂基料混合物(包含椰油酰基羟乙基磺酸钠、硬脂酸、水、椰油酰胺羟丙基磺基甜菜碱、羟乙基磺酸钠、氯化钠和二氧化钛的固体薄片)使用混合机(型号2000S-188Z,Lanqing Light Industrial Machinery Co.,Ltd.)压碎以产生蜡状粉末。向适当大小的容器中加入经压碎的合成洗涤剂基料薄片(1.90kg)和指定的聚甘油酯(0.10kg)。将容器的内容物使用刮刀手动混合两分钟。将混合物加入实验室型压条机(Mazzoni Soap ProductionLine Model SX-M-75)中并精炼两次,其中冷却水设为将混合物保持在环境温度下。在精炼两次之后,将混合物转移到三辊磨(Mazzoni Model RM-100/3)中并研磨一次,其中冷却水设为将混合物保持在环境温度下。在研磨之后,使混合物返回到压条机并在大约40℃(例如35℃至40℃)的温度下挤出,以形成平滑的均一锭料。锭料随后被切割并使用压皂机(Mazzoni Model STA/N)模压成棒。

使用如本文所述的清洁棒泡沫测试来生成泡沫体积数据。结果示于表2和图3中。

申请人已发现,当用PGE≤40制备本发明清洁棒时,泡沫性能增强。为示出本发明清洁棒中的泡沫性能改善,表2示出发明实施例E1和E2以及比较例C1、C2和C3的泡沫体积(以毫升计,mL)与周期的关系(并且图3以绘图形式示出该同一数据)。从图中很明显看到,包含PGE≤40显著改善了泡沫性能。例如,发明实施例E1(476mL)的最大泡沫体积表示比比较例C1的体积增加125%,比比较例C2的体积增加197%,以及比比较例C3的体积增加240%。例如,发明实施例E2(233mL)的最大泡沫体积表示比比较例C1的体积增加10%,比比较例C2的体积增加45%,以及比比较例C3的体积增加66%。
例如,表3示出(如果适用的)四种PGE的峰值熔点,在25℃的物理形式和粘度,两种具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点,两种具有高于40℃的峰值熔点。如可在发明实施例E1和E2以及比较例C2和C3中看出,当与能与之相比的不含PGE的棒,比较例C1相比时,两种具有低于40℃的峰值熔点的PGE增加了泡沫体积,而两种具有高于40℃的峰值熔点的PGE不影响或甚至降低了清洁棒的泡沫体积。

Claims (21)
1.一种清洁棒,包含:
非皂阴离子表面活性剂;
具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的聚甘油酯;
疏水粘结剂;和
水溶性棒硬化剂,其中所述清洁棒的特征在于
具有约8或更低的pH。
2.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯的聚甘油部分具有约2至20个重复单元。
3.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯的聚甘油部分具有约2至12个重复单元。
4.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯的聚甘油部分具有约4至10个重复单元。
5.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯在所述清洁棒组合物中以大于约0.1重量%至约25重量%的浓度使用。
6.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯在所述清洁棒组合物中以大于约0.1重量%至约10重量%的浓度使用。
7.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯在所述清洁棒组合物中以大于约0.1重量%至约7重量%的浓度使用。
8.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯在所述清洁棒组合物中以大于约0.1重量%至约5重量%的浓度使用。
9.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯在所述清洁棒组合物中以大于约1重量%至约7.5重量%的浓度使用。
10.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯在所述清洁棒组合物中以大于约2重量%至约6重量%的浓度使用。
11.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的所述聚甘油酯具有约2至3个疏水部分。
12.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,所述清洁棒具有约4至约7的pH。
13.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,所述清洁棒还包含两性离子表面活性剂。
14.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中所述非皂阴离子表面活性剂以按重量计约30%至约70%的浓度存在。
15.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中所述非皂阴离子表面活性剂选自酰基羟乙基磺酸盐、烷基磺基琥珀酸盐、α-磺基脂肪酸酯、α-磺基脂肪酸、烷基甘油醚磺酸盐和烷基硫酸盐。
16.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中所述疏水粘结剂以按重量计约5%至约50%的浓度存在。
17.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中所述疏水粘结剂选自脂肪酸、脂肪醇、醇与脂肪酸的酯、多元醇酯、蜡、混合的甘油酯、三甘油酯、氢化三甘油酯和不饱和三甘油酯的氢化复分解产物。
18.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中所述水溶性棒硬化剂以按重量计约0.25%至约10%的浓度存在。
19.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,其中所述水溶性棒硬化剂选自有机酸或无机酸的无机金属阳离子盐。
20.根据权利要求1所述的清洁棒,如由清洁棒泡沫测试所测得的,所述清洁棒具有与能与之相比的不含所述PGE≤40的清洁棒相比高至少约10%的最大泡沫体积。
21.一种清洁棒,包含:
约30重量%至约70重量%的非皂阴离子表面活性剂;
具有约40℃或更低的峰值熔点的聚甘油酯;
约5重量%至约50重量%的疏水粘结剂;
约0.25重量%至约10重量%的水溶性棒硬化剂;和
约0.1重量%至约10重量%的两性离子表面活性剂,其中所述清洁棒的特征在于具有约8或更低的pH。
