The video-on-demand digital signage system comprises a server, a base station, a plurality of mini-type hosts, a plurality of display screens corresponding to the plurality of mini-type hosts and a plurality of handheld terminals, wherein the server is used for storing a plurality of pre-set videos and sending video information selected by the handheld terminals to the base station; the base station is used for sending the video information transmitted by the server to the mini-type hosts, and feeding implementation states of the mini-type hosts back to the server; the mini-type hosts are used for calling videos on a storage module through a video playing module to play the videos, and transmitting the videos to the display screens corresponding to the mini-type hosts through data transmission interfaces; the display screens are used for displaying the videos sent by the mini-type hosts; the handheld terminals are used for selecting the videos. By utilizing handheld terminal equipment, the videos are remotely played in real time, and the display screens of the videos can be selected; a function of playing specific content on the specific display screen is realized.

Technical Field
In public places such as factories, companies, exhibition halls, and shopping malls, a plurality of electronic signboards are often arranged, and each electronic signboard displays different contents. The displayed content can be changed temporarily according to the actual requirement. For example, when a person visits, a certain electronic billboard or some electronic billboard is required to play specific video content so as to introduce the explanation to the guest one by one. However, since the visiting time of the guest is random, the video playing content of the electronic billboard cannot be set in advance, and an apparatus is needed to flexibly change the video content according to the visiting progress.

the display screen is provided with a transmission interface corresponding to the mini host and used for displaying the video sent by the mini host;
the handheld terminal is provided with a primary play list corresponding to the video set in the server and a secondary play list responding to the primary play list and displaying a plurality of mini host numbers.

the display screen is provided with a transmission interface corresponding to the mini host and used for displaying the video sent by the mini host;
