Abstract

Description
本发明一般地涉及注射成型,更具体地说,涉及一种改进了的熔体输送岐管部件,不仅考虑到了加热,还考虑到了冷却。
在本行业中众所周知,多型腔热流道注射成型系统具有一个被加热了的岐管部件以输送被加压了的熔体,该熔体来自成型机到达岐管部件的进口处,再送往若干个出口处,每个出口导入一个被加热了的喷嘴并延伸到一个浇口,再到达相应的型腔中。根据型腔的数量和布置,这些岐管部件有各种形状。用于加热岐管部件达到所需的操作温度的电加热器的各种不同的装置是已知的。例如,岐管部件可以具有一个整体铸入其中的电加热元件如在1987年8月25日出版的盖勒特(Gellert)的美国专利号4,688,622中所描述者。筒式加热器可铸入岐管部件如在1984年4月3日出版的盖勒特的美国专利号4,439,915中所公开者。或者如本申请案中所示为一板式加热器能沿着岐管部件的表面被紧固起来。
根据成型材料的类型,这些岐管部件可能加热到超过600°F(315.5℃)的温度。这样,由于每个岐管部件所具有的可观的质量,当系统被关闭时,将需要一个较长时间将之冷却下来。这就常常造成留存在岐管部件内熔体流道中的熔体发生变质的结果。这是由于这样一个事实,许多种塑料熔体在超过一段时间后具有温度敏感性,并将会分解而导致褪色或发生碳化作用。当系统被重新启用时,这些已变质的材料被注射进入型腔而造成废品。或者,如果变质更为严重的话,系统就必须折卸开并将熔体流道清洗干净。目前,这个问题能被避免,这是由于当系统被关闭时,可用一种热稳定性很强的材料将系统彻底冲洗,但是当系统重新启用时,将引起其他问题。
由是,本发明的目的是至少可部份克服现有技术的缺点,这是由于提供一种当系统在关闭时可被冷却的岐管部件随之动作的办法来解决的。
为此,一种办法是,本发明提供了一种加长了的钢制的注射成型用被加热了的岐管部件,在其上具有一些端部,和一个带有纵向部的熔体流道,该纵向部延伸穿过其间,以输送从成型机接受来的在一个进口处的熔体到达若干个出口处,每个出口导向一个被加热了的喷嘴,改进之处包括一对从岐管部件所说的那些端部之一纵向延伸穿过岐管部件到达岐管部件所说的那些端部的另一端的冷却孔以输送冷却流体通过其间,所说的这对冷却孔与熔体流道的纵向部平行延伸并与熔体流道纵向部的二对面侧具有相等的间隔距离,每个冷却孔从岐管部件一端的进口处延伸到岐管部件另一端的出口处,每个冷却孔有一个螺旋形叶片延伸其间以使穿越其间的冷却流体形成一个紊流。
本发明的进一步的目的和优点将结合附图在以下的描述中阐明。

首先请参阅图1,该图显示了一个多型腔注射成型系统或装置,该装置具有若干个被加热了的喷嘴10从一个共同的加长了的被加热了的岐管部件12处延伸出来。每个喷嘴10被座落在模槽板18中的一个穴座16内并具有一个整体的电加热元件(未图示)从一个接电端子14延伸出来。模槽板18被通过冷却管道20泵来的冷却水所冷却,该冷却管道20延伸穿过模槽板18。每个喷嘴10有一个中心熔体孔22从其后端26的进口24处延伸到一个浇口28导入一个型腔30。该喷嘴10由一个环形的绝缘凸缘或衬套32定位,该衬套32座落在环形肩部34上。如图示,这将提供一个在被加热了的喷嘴10和周围的被冷却了的模槽板18之间的隔热空气层36。
喷嘴10利用螺栓38被牢固地紧固到共同的岐管部12上,该螺栓38延伸穿过在岐管部件12中的螺孔40(带有为热膨胀所需的间隙)。在本实施例中,岐管部件12被加长并带有两个端头42,44。尽管这样,在别的实施例中,该岐管部件可以根据喷嘴10的数量以及它们的布置方式而具有各种形状。在本实施例中,岐管部件12被电加热板46所加热,该电加热板46由螺栓48加以紧固。其他型式的加热器,诸如整体铸入岐管部件中的电加热器也能用于其他实施例中。钢制的加长了的岐管部件12带着紧固在其上的板式加热器46在模槽板18和一个后板50之间延伸着。它们由一个定位环52定位,该定位环52座落在岐管部件12和模槽板18之间。围绕着岐管部件12配置了绝热空气层54,该空气层54是在岐管部件和模槽板18之间,以及岐管部件和后板50之间,后板50也被通过冷却管道56泵来的冷却水所冷却。所说的岐管部件12有一个伸出部58向后延伸穿过后板50。岐管部件伸出部58由一个定位套圈60紧固定位,该定位套圈60由螺栓62紧固到后板50上。
岐管部件12有一个熔体流道64从伸出部58中的一个进口66处延伸出来并分支到若干个出口处68,每个出口与那些喷嘴10的其中之一的熔体孔22的进口处24相对准。岐管部件12还有一对纵向的冷却孔70,72从岐管部件的一端42延伸到另一端44。冷却孔70,72与熔体流道64的纵向部74平行延伸,如在图3中清晰可见,它们是与熔体流道64的纵向部74的两对面侧具有相等的间隔。每个冷却孔70,72有一个进口76,78处在岐管部件12的一端,还有一个出口80,82处在岐管部件12的另一端。在本实施例中,冷却孔70,72的进口76,78和出口80,82是反向装的,以便流经冷却孔70,72的流体是对面方向流动的来平衡冷却效果。每个冷却孔70,72有一个螺旋形叶片84,如在图4中清晰可见,该叶片在冷却孔中延伸以造成冷却流体的紊流。在每个进口76,78处和出口80,82处安装上螺纹接头86以连接接管88,该接管88从一个常规的来源(未图示)延伸过来以使冷却流体在其中循环流动。当注射成型系统在操作时,安装在每条线路上的截止阀90,92可阻止冷却流体的循环流动。
在使用中,系统如图1所示组装起来,而电源被接通到喷嘴10上的电加热元件的接电端子14上以及板式加热器的接电端子94上以加热喷嘴10和岐管部件12到一个予先规定的操作温度。加压的熔体从一个成型机(未图示)按照一个预先规定的周期被施加到熔体流道64的进口66处。熔体流径喷嘴10和浇口28进入型腔30。在型腔被填满后并在一个适当的压紧和冷却时间终止后,注射压力被卸除。然后模子被打开来取出成型的制品。在取出制品后,模子被重新闭合,按照型腔的大小和成型材料的类型所允许的周期时间,周而复始地连续重复这个过程。
当需要关停这个系统时,注射压力不再重新施加上去,以后的注射以及施加到加热器的接电端子14,94的电源被切断。然后在管道88中的截止阀90,92立刻打开,而空气则通过岐管部件12的冷却孔70,72流经过去。这就可很快降低岐管部件12的温度以减少熔体流道64中的熔体的变质。围绕冷却孔70,72中的螺旋形叶片84的空气紊流可避免沿着熔体流道64发生温度分层现象。在岐管部件被充分冷却后,上述截止阀90,92被关闭以在系统被重新启用前切断空气的循环。
尽管对注射成型装置中可被冷却的岐管部件的描述已按本发明的一实施例给出如上。但并不能认作具有限制的意义。对本行业的熟练专业人员来说能够作出各种变化和变型。例如,明显的是,对于不同的应用,岐管部件12可以有各种形状。冷却流体除了空气外可以是水或者其他某种合适的液体或气体。冷却流体循环的控制除了利用截止阀90,92外,也可配备一个泵来完成。本发明的保护范围的限定已在所附权利要求书中作出。
Claims (4)
1、一种注射成型装置中可被冷却的岐管部件,在一个加长了的钢制的注射成型用被加热了的岐管部件上具有一些端部,和一个带有纵向部的熔体流道,该纵向部延伸穿过其间,以输送从成型机接受来的在一个进口处的熔体到达若干个出口处,每个出口导向一个被加热了的喷嘴,其特征在于:
包括一对从岐管部件所说的那些端部之一纵向延伸穿过岐管部件到达岐管部件所说的那些端部的另一端的冷却孔以输送冷却流体通过其间,所说的这对冷却孔与熔体流道的纵向部平行延伸并与熔体流道纵向部的两对面侧具有相等的间隔距离,每个冷却孔从岐管部件一端的进口处延伸到岐管部件另一端的出口处,每个冷却孔有一个螺旋形叶片延伸其间以使穿越其间的冷却流体形成一个紊流。
2、根据权利要求1的注射成型岐管部件,其特征是,在每个冷却孔的进口和出口处安装管接头以连接冷却流体的连接管道。
3、根据权利要求2的注射成型岐管部件,其特征是,所说的冷却流体是空气。
4、根据权利要求2的注射成型岐管部件,其特征是,在冷却流体连接管道上安装阀门装置以切断通过所说的那些冷却孔的冷却流体的流动。
