本发明涉及用于在个人护理组合物中提供耐水性和增加活性组分的保持力的组合物。
背景
众所周知,需要用于在个人护理组合物中提供耐水性和增加活性组分保持力的组合物。没有这些组合物,个人护理活性成分可能被洗去,被摩擦掉,被再乳化,或者以其它方式丧失其效力。目前提供耐水性的聚合物的问题在于它们通常非常粘,在调配到免洗型制剂中时,为客户提供的美感较差。作为参考,美感是消费者选择个人护理组合物或者至少忠于该个人护理组合物时考虑的最重要的因素之一。
因此,需要一种耐水性聚合物,该聚合物具有改善的美学性能,并且当水存在时具有极佳的活性组分保持力。

在一个实施方式中,本发明提供包含聚合物的个人护理组合物,所述组合物包含以下组分(a)和(b):(a)一种或多种聚合物,其包含作为聚合单元的以下成分:(i)基于所述聚合物的重量,75-35重量%的一种或多种选自至少一种C1-C4(甲基)丙烯酸酯的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体、(甲基)丙烯酸、苯乙烯或取代苯乙烯,(ii)基于所述聚合物的重量,25-65重量%的一种或多种疏水性单体,包括疏水取代的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体,烷基链长度为C8-C22,(iii)任选的交联剂,和(b)至少一种非防晒活性成分的个人护理活性成分。所得聚合物显示优异的美感,良好的成膜性,在存在水时具有极佳的活性组分保持力。
在本文中,“(甲基)丙烯酸类”表示丙烯酸类或甲基丙烯酸类;“(甲基)丙烯酸酯”表示丙烯酸酯或甲基丙烯酸酯;“(甲基)丙烯酰胺”表示丙烯酰胺或甲基丙烯酰胺。“取代的”表示具有至少一个附加的化学基团,例如烷基、烯基、乙烯基、羟基、羧酸基、其它官能团和它们的组合。
苯乙烯和取代苯乙烯单体每个分子具有一个烯键式不饱和基团。苯乙烯和取代苯乙烯的例子包括4-甲基苯乙烯、2-甲基苯乙烯、3-甲基苯乙烯、4-甲氧基苯乙烯、2-羟基甲基苯乙烯、4-乙基苯乙烯、4-乙氧基苯乙烯、3,4-二甲基苯乙烯、2-氯苯乙烯、3-氯苯乙烯、4-氯-3-甲基苯乙烯、4-叔丁基苯乙烯、2,4-二氯苯乙烯、2,6-二氯苯乙烯。优选的苯乙烯和取代苯乙烯单体包括苯乙烯(Sty)和4-甲基苯乙烯(乙烯基甲苯)。
优选的含酸官能团的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体包括丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、衣康酸、巴豆酸。更优选的含酸官能团的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体是丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸。

在一些实施方式中,聚合物还包含交联剂。交联剂是具有两个或更多个烯键式不饱和基团的单体,可包括例如二乙烯基芳族化合物,二-、三-和四-(甲基)丙烯酸酯,二-、三-和四-烯丙基醚或酯化合物,以及(甲基)丙烯酸烯丙基酯。优选的这些单体的例子包括二乙烯基苯(DVB),三羟甲基丙烷二烯丙基醚,四烯丙基季戊四醇,三烯丙基季戊四醇,二烯丙基季戊四醇,邻苯二甲酸二烯丙基酯,马来酸二烯丙基酯,氰尿酸三烯丙基酯,双酚A二烯丙基醚,烯丙基蔗糖,亚甲基二丙烯酰胺,三羟甲基丙烷三丙烯酸酯,甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯(ALMA),二甲基丙烯酸乙二醇酯(EGDMA),二丙烯酸己烷-1,6-二醇酯(HDDA)和二甲基丙烯酸丁二醇酯(BGDMA)。特别优选的交联剂包括DVB,ALMA,EGDMA,HDDA和BGDMA。最优选的交联剂是ALMA。在本发明的一些实施方式中,聚合物中聚合的交联剂残基的量至少为0.01%,或者至少为0.02%,或者至少为0.05%。本发明的一些实施方式中,聚合物中交联剂残基的量不多于0.3%,或者不多于0.2%,或者不多于0.15%。依据本发明可有效使用的聚合物可通过常规乳液聚合、溶液聚合或悬浮聚合来制备。优选乳液聚合。用于制备聚合物的单体依次或者以无规的方式加入,以提供非无规或无规的聚合物,使用自由基引发剂,例如过氧化合物或重氮化合物,以及任选的链转移剂。主聚合物链的长度通常使得(如果去除任何交联)分子量(Mw)在约50,000-10,000,000的范围内,或者100,000-5,000,000,或者200,000-2,000,000。
在溶液聚合和乳液聚合中使用自由基引发剂。合适的自由基引发剂包括过氧化氢,氢过氧化叔丁基,过硫酸钠,过硫酸钾,过硫酸锂和过硫酸铵,等等。还原剂,例如亚硫酸氢盐,包括碱金属的偏亚硫酸氢盐,氢亚硫酸盐和连二亚硫酸盐;甲醛次硫酸钠或还原糖,例如抗坏血酸或异抗坏血酸,可与引发剂联用,形成氧化还原体系。可有效用于悬浮聚合的引发剂包括油溶性过氧化物,氢过氧化物和偶氮化合物,诸如AIBN。引发剂的量可以为加入单体重量的0.01重量%-约2重量%,在氧化还原体系中,还原剂的相应用量可以为0.01重量%-约2重量%。可使用过渡金属催化剂,例如铁盐和铜盐。
在水性乳液、悬浮液和溶液聚合中,聚合温度可以为约10-120℃。在过硫酸盐体系的情况中,温度优选为60-90℃。在氧化还原体系中,温度优选为20-70℃。
对于乳液聚合物,任选用于制备单体乳液或聚合物乳液的任何乳化剂或分散剂可以是阴离子型、阳离子型或非离子型的。而且,可以使用任何两种或更多种类型的混合物。合适的非离子型乳化剂包括但不限于乙氧基化的辛基苯酚,乙氧基化的壬基苯酚,乙氧基化的脂肪醇,等等。合适的阴离子型乳化剂包括但不限于十二烷基硫酸钠,十二烷基苯磺酸钠,壬基苯酚、辛基苯酚和脂肪醇的硫酸化和乙氧基化的衍生物,酯化的磺基琥珀酸盐,等等。合适的阳离子型乳化剂包括但不限于氯化月桂基吡啶鎓,乙酸十六烷基二甲基胺,氯化(C8-C18)烷基二甲基苄基铵,等等。基于加入的单体的总重量,乳化剂的含量约为0.1-10重量%。
在一个实施方式中,单体(i)是丙烯酸丁酯,甲基丙烯酸甲酯,甲基丙烯酸或苯乙烯中的至少两种。

在一种实施方式中,聚合物是在单阶段中形成。
在一种实施方式中,聚合物是在两阶段反应中形成。在一种实施方式中,阶段2聚合物包含作为聚合单元的以下成分(i)-(iii):(i)10-99%的一种或多种聚合物形成后Tg高于80℃的单体;(ii)1-10%的一种或多种含酸官能团的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体;和(iii)任选的交联剂。在一个实施方式中,阶段1和阶段2的比例范围为60:40-99:1。
具有高玻璃化转变温度(“Tg”)的聚合物常用于降低聚合物膜的粘性。但是,高Tg聚合物的缺点是它们形成的膜极硬且极脆。较佳地,第二阶段聚合物的Tg为约50-200℃,或者75-150℃,或者80-120℃。
在本发明的一些实施方式中,阶段1和阶段2的比例超过50:50,优选超过60:40。在本发明的一些实施方式中,阶段1和阶段2的比例小于99:1,优选小于90:10。
本发明提供耐水性聚合物,包含任何美容可接受的油基料的个人护理组合物和制剂。合适的油基料包括常用于个人护理产品的任何油或油混合物。例子包括饱和脂肪酯和二酯,例如棕榈酸异丙酯,棕榈酸辛酯,硬脂酸丁酯、硬脂酸异十六烷基酯,硬脂酰基硬脂酸十八烷基酯,己二酸二异丙酯,癸二酸二辛酯,石蜡油,石蜡,动物油和植物油,诸如貂油、椰子油、豆油、棕榈油、玉米油、可可油、芝麻油、羊毛脂油,脂肪醇,诸如硬脂醇、异硬脂醇、异十六烷基醇。所列的油仅仅是例子,不旨在以任何方式限制本发明。通常,用于人或动物时具有毒物学安全性的任何疏水材料或其混合物可构成本发明的油基料。
含耐水性聚合物的个人护理组合物和制剂有四种基本组成:油分散体,水包油乳液,油包水乳液,和一种或多种有机溶剂的溶液。通过将耐水性聚合物分散在含有一种或多种活性组分的油基料中来制备油分散体。耐水性聚合物可以分散在油相中,或者作为水性悬浮液的形式制备,然后制备最终的水包油或油包水乳液。在制备组合物或制剂时,聚合物可以在任何阶段、在任何相中加入。通过以下方式制备个人护理制剂:混合耐水性聚合物、油基料,任选地包括水相、一种或多种活性组分和任选的添加剂,在缓慢搅拌下温热混合物来进行混合。油基个人护理组合物和制剂包括0.01-10重量%的至少一种耐水性聚合物,所述百分含量以制剂的总重量为基准计。组合物和制剂的美容上可接受的基料可以是固体或液体,但是整个制剂优选在皮肤温度下是流体,以便于施用。适用于制备聚合物溶液的溶剂是本领域中常用的那些溶剂,包括醇,例如乙醇,和挥发性硅酮,例如环甲硅油。合适的添加剂包括香料、填料、染料、着色剂、防腐剂、杀生物剂、抗氧化剂、其它常用于个人护理产品而对性能没有负面影响的这类添加剂,以及它们的组合。
本发明提供施用于皮肤的个人护理组合物和制剂,其包括分散在油基料中的耐水性聚合物和一种或多种个人护理活性组分。合适的活性组分包括但不限于防晒活性成分,保湿活性成分,诸如保湿剂,软化剂,抗氧化剂,植物性药物,皮肤提亮剂,用于个人护理的清洁活性成分,用于个人护理的去污活性成分,维他命,叶酸衍生物,去角质剂,除臭活性成分,芳香活性成分,皮肤去角质活性成分,用于个人护理的局部药物治疗活性成分,用于个人护理的美容剂,护发素,面部护理产品,颜料,着色硅酮,局部用制剂,用于个人护理的红外(IR)-吸收材料,粉刺药剂和它们的组合。美容剂包括例如睫毛膏,眼线膏,唇膏,粉,胭脂,粉底和面膜。
可使用常规乳化技术和便宜的搅拌设备形成本发明的皮肤护理组合物和制剂。这样形成的皮肤护理组合物和制剂是稳定的乳液,聚合物在低聚合物浓度下能有效地保持活性组分,所述低聚合物浓度为以油相中组合物的总重量为基准计0.01-10重量%的聚合物;所述制剂在最高达1000达因/厘米2的剪切应力下的油相粘度为至少10泊。优选所述制剂由水包油乳液组成。
当施用于哺乳动物皮肤时,本发明的这些个人护理组合物和制剂在皮肤表面形成油膜。该膜给皮肤带来湿润、光泽的外观,使得妆容雅致。
该膜帮助保护皮肤免受环境带来的干燥、氧化影响。而且,组合物和制剂能长时间保持性能,并且在长时间暴露于水性环境(例如水、潮湿或出汗)后也能长时间保持性能。
通常通过加热油相和水相,并在良好搅拌下将水相缓慢加入油相中来制备水包油乳液。均化是有利的,但不是必需的。在水相中加入低含量稳定组分是有利的。已经证实,硫酸镁之类的盐是有用的乳液稳定剂,它们不会明显影响制剂的耐水性。已经发现,加入水溶性树胶,例如瓜尔胶衍生物、黄原胶和芦荟,以及增稠剂,例如羟乙基纤维素、羟甲基纤维素和羧基乙烯基聚合物,有助于稳定乳液。
依据本发明,个人护理组合物和制剂可有效用作霜、乳液、凝胶、小毛巾、湿巾、面膜、粘性垫(adhesive pad)、由溶剂和个人护理领域中使用的任何常规装置递送的喷雾。

使用标准乳液聚合方法。例如,向配备顶挂式搅拌器、热电偶、冷凝器和用于单体和引发剂加料的进口的2升圆底烧瓶中加入183.5g去离子水,26.6g50%CAVASOLTM W7M TL(环糊精,来自瓦克精细化学公司(Wacker FineChemicals)),6.1g30%FES32(考格尼斯公司(Cognis))表面活性剂和1.8g碳酸钠。搅拌该烧瓶,并将其加热至92℃。通过以下方式制备单体乳液:向合适的容器中加入363g去离子水和13.6gFES32表面活性剂,开始进行搅拌。在将表面活性剂引入水中后,向搅拌着的混合物中缓慢加入175g BA,203g苯乙烯,105g MAA和217g SMA。还可以通过加入0.69g过硫酸钠和96g去离子水来制备共进料催化剂溶液。
在92℃的反应温度,向反应釜中加入25g上述制备的单体乳液,用11克去离子水冲洗,然后加入2.11g过硫酸钠和12g水的引发剂溶液。
在开始聚合后,在85℃,开始单体乳液共进料,以6.33g/分钟的速率进料10分钟,以12.7g/分钟的速率进料75分钟。同时,开始催化剂共进料,以1.1g/分钟的速率进料88分钟。在单体乳液和催化剂共进料完成后,追踪反应混合物,以降低残余单体的量。得到的聚合物1胶乳具有以下性质:固体含量是胶乳蒸发至干燥后留下的固体材料的重量,以相对于胶乳总重量的百分数表示。砂粒量是网袋中保留的材料的量。用布鲁克哈温仪器公司(BrookhavenInstruments Corp.)的BI-90设备测量平均粒度。通过顶空气相色谱测量残余单体的量。

使用标准乳液聚合方法。例如,对于聚合物9,向配有顶挂式搅拌器、热电偶、冷凝器和用于单体和引发剂加料的进口的2升圆底烧瓶中加入252g去离子水,8g23%的十二烷基苯磺酸钠和2g碳酸钠。搅拌该烧瓶,并将其加热至92℃。通过以下方式制备单体乳液(阶段1):向合适的容器中加入146g去离子水和5.6g十二烷基苯磺酸钠(23%),开始进行搅拌。在将表面活性剂引入水中后,向搅拌着的混合物中缓慢加入90g BA,180g EHA,174g MMA,6.8gMAA和0.34g ALMA。还可以通过加入0.86g过硫酸钠和50g去离子水来制备共进料催化剂溶液。
在88℃的反应温度,向反应釜中加入19g上述制备的单体乳液,用5克去离子水冲洗,然后加入1.9g过硫酸钠和15g水的引发剂溶液。在开始聚合后,在85℃,开始阶段1单体乳液共进料,以4.72g/分钟的速率进料15分钟,以10.1g/分钟的速率进料83分钟。同时,开始阶段1催化剂共进料,以0.61g/分钟的速率进料88分钟。在单体乳液和催化剂共进料完成后,保持反应混合物10分钟。
在阶段1进料的过程中,制备阶段2单体乳液和催化剂。通过以下方式制备阶段2单体乳液:向合适的容器中加入52g去离子水和2g十二烷基苯磺酸钠(23%),开始进行搅拌。在将表面活性剂引入水中后,向搅拌着的混合物中缓慢加入112g MMA,1.1g MAA和0.09g ALMA。还可以通过加入0.12g过硫酸钠和14g去离子水来制备阶段2共进料催化剂溶液。在完成阶段1的保持后,开始阶段2单体乳液共进料,以6.55g/分钟的速率进料29分钟。
在阶段2单体乳液和催化剂共进料完成后,追踪反应混合物,以降低残余单体的量。所得胶乳具有以下性质:

实施例4
本发明的个人护理制剂用列于表4的成分(以重量百分数计)制备,比较例制剂不含本发明的聚合物。

通过在容器中加入所有A相成分并加热至75℃来制备化妆品制剂。将所有B相成分加入到另一个容器中并加热至75℃以形成油相。随后在75℃下将A相和B相混合,pH调节至小于7,并加入C相(如果存在)。将该制剂冷却至45℃并加入D相成分,随后使该制剂冷却至环境温度。
实施例5
将实施例的粉底1乳液和比较例的粉底A乳液引入到几个刮涂在Leneta型2A-遮光卡片上的6密耳的样品膜中,并使其干燥过夜。
5个训练有素的专家每人用折叠的纱布片擦洗一片薄膜,随后以1-5的等级评判从基材上擦洗该乳液的难(5)易(1)程度。结果会显示,粉底1薄膜的难于擦洗程度是比较例粉底A的薄膜的2倍,因此有利于抗擦洗。
为了测定耐水性,薄膜在34℃下经受0.06加仑/分钟,距离卡片15cm,呈45°夹角的水流流过样品30秒。结果会显示,比较例粉底A易于清洗掉,而粉底1薄膜具有优异的耐水性。
Claims (11)
1.一种包含聚合物的个人护理组合物,所述组合物包含:
(a)一种或多种聚合物,其包含作为聚合单元的以下成分(i)-(iii):
(i)基于所述聚合物的重量,75-35重量%的一种或多种选自至少一种C1-C4(甲基)丙烯酸酯的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体、(甲基)丙烯酸、苯乙烯或取代苯乙烯,和
(ii)基于所述聚合物的重量,25-65重量%的一种或多种疏水性单体,其包括疏水取代的(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体,烷基链长度为C8-C22,和

(b)至少一种除防晒活性成分以外的个人护理活性成分。
