以下对本发明作更为详细的说明,业已发现渗透吸收剂可以制备成将能吸收许多倍于它的重量的液体,被吸收的液体的量大于前面讨论的吸收剂所吸收的量。
如前所述,一次性吸收材料或产品将在商业领域中找到广泛的各种用途。以前,这些吸收剂产品通常由组合物所组成,如木质蓬松物或聚合物凝胶和木质蓬松物的结合物。这些产品的液体保持性能组成了该物品的重要特性,术语“液体保持”包括液体的量和保持的可逆性。以下将作更详细的说明,现已揭示,将具有吸收和保持液体能力超过吸收剂重量2100%的渗透吸收剂是可以被制得的。
为此,提供一种吸收剂是本发明的一个目的。
提供具有在数量上超过吸收剂重量的不可逆地吸收液体能力的渗透吸收剂是本发明的另一个目的。
在另一方面,本发明的一个实施例子体现于一种渗透吸收剂中,它包括其中含有高渗透性促进剂的包封的半渗透聚合物膜壳。
本发明的一个特殊的具体例子,可见之于在一种渗透吸收剂中,它包括醋酸纤维素的包封的半渗透聚合物膜壳,所述的膜壳的厚度在自约5至30微米的范围,其中含有包括氯化钠的高渗透性促进剂。
如上所述,本发明涉及渗透剂吸收。这些产品包括其中含有高渗透性促进剂的包封的半渗透聚合物膜壳。这些吸收剂将找到广泛的各种用途。作为例子,这些具有高吸收值的材料,可用于易处理的吸收剂产品,诸如:婴儿尿布。通常的尿布用来吸收尿,它是具有浓度约1%的弱盐溶液。近来,尿布设计成用木质蓬松物掺合超吸收聚合物制成。目前在使用中的最流行的聚合物包括交联的聚丙烯酸的衍生物,而通常称为吸收剂胶凝材料(AGM)。当对尿溶液作测定时,以及其他给定设计制得观点来看,通过AGM的液体吸收是限制在约为重量的30倍。AGM溶胀的机理主要是通过渗透压。然而,也通过可被结合在结构中的渗透促进剂的重量百分数而受限制的。与此相反,本发明的渗透吸收剂采用一种可随意被增加浓度的渗透或高渗透性促进剂。如在以下详细的说明中所示,与限用离子物质作为渗透促进剂的AGM相对比,它可以采用各种类型的高渗透性促进剂。于是,在此事实上,本发明的促进剂的高渗透性并不如此受限制,而本发明的渗透吸收剂将表明具有大大超过AGM的吸收容量。
虽然上述讨论集中在渗透吸收剂在手巾(尿布)中的应用,但在本发明的范围内也涉及所述的吸收剂,根据所采用的特殊的聚合物膜壳和渗透性促进剂,可以以其它方式被应用。例如:本发明的吸收剂也可以被用作从烃类燃料中除去不希望的液体,诸如:水,这些液体的存在将对所述的燃料的使用具有有害的影响。
如在前面所述的,本发明的渗透吸收剂包括一种包封的半渗透聚合物膜壳,其中含有高渗透性促进剂。该半渗透聚合物膜(它可被采用作为吸收剂的壳组分)将包括结合渗透促进剂的高排斥作用的具有好的水渗透性的那些聚合物膜。具有这些性能的膜将允许水或液体良好地流入膜壳,同时建立高渗透压差。聚合物膜的一些代表性的例子包括由二醋酸纤维素和三醋酸纤维素等醋酸纤维素、醋酸纤维素衍生物(诸如:甲基纤维素、乙基纤维素、丙基纤维素、硝基纤维素等),磺化的聚砜、聚合电解质配合物,诸如:聚苯乙烯磺酸酯和聚苄基三甲基氯化铵的配合物,长链的聚合物酰胺,包括各种尼龙,诸如:尼龙4、尼龙6、尼龙7、尼龙8、尼龙9、尼龙66等所制备的那些。互穿聚合物网络薄膜,诸如:通过聚醚(诸如聚乙二醇)和异氰酸酯)诸如:(甲苯二异氰酸酯)反应以形成异氰酸酯封端的聚醚,以及然后使所述的聚醚和杂环含氮化合物(诸如:聚乙烯基吡啶)混合所制备的那些,又如通过芳香多胺(诸如:间苯二胺)和芳香多羧酰基氯(诸如:苯均三甲酰氯trimeslyl chbride)反应以形成界面聚合的聚合物的膜。而聚合物本身可以用作壳体,这也是本发明涉及的范围,该聚合物可以被支持在多孔的承载背衬材料上(诸如:聚砜、聚碳酸酯等)。
高渗透性促进剂,它构成吸收剂的第二种成分,以及它被包封在聚合物膜壳内将较佳地包括同时对膜具有良好拒斥率的低分子量水溶性组分。这些高渗透性促进剂的一些代表性的例子将包括元素周期表中ⅠA族和ⅡA族的卤素盐类,诸如:氯化锂、氯化钠、氯化钾、氯化铷、氯化钙、氯化钡、氯化镁、溴化锂、溴化钠、溴化钾、溴化铷、溴化钙、溴化钡、溴化镁等;糖类诸如:葡萄糖、蔗糖、果糖等;多羟基化合物诸如:甘油、乙二醇;铵化合物诸如:氢氧化铵、氯化铵等;乳酸,碳酸氢钾,碳酸氢钠,碳酸氢锂等。可以理解,前面所列的作为膜层的聚合物和渗透促进剂仅作为可以采用的以形成渗透吸收剂的这类化合物的代表,而并不是为了限制本发明。
包括含有渗透促进剂的包封的半渗透聚合物膜壳的渗透吸收剂,其中聚合物对促进剂的重量比例在约2∶1至约1∶10范围。为了液体吸收的所需速率,渗透吸收剂所用的量取决于聚合物重量。而后者重量将取决于半渗透聚合物膜壳的厚度,在本发明较佳的实施例中,所述厚度是在自约5至30微米的范围。
渗透吸收剂的构型可以随其本身性能广泛变化,渗透吸收剂的形式的一些代表性例子将包括:片材、球状、中空纤维等。这些吸收剂可通过现有技术中任何已知方法来制备。例如,当渗透吸收剂是呈片材形式时,渗透促进剂可以被置于膜的上层和较低层之间,所述的层然后经层叠以形成含有渗透促进剂包封在内的包封壳体。同样,尤其当该渗透促进剂是呈固体形式时,可以用所需的聚合物进行涂覆,然后经处理以形成所需的膜。又,如果渗透吸收剂是呈中空纤维形式,再按现有技术中任何已知的方法,该纤维可以成形为半渗透聚合物膜,接着将渗透促进剂装填入纤维的节内,并为防止漏失,将纤维的每一端予以密封。
实施例Ⅰ:
在本实施例中,将(面积)3×3厘米和具有20微米厚度的聚合的醋酸纤维素片材置于平坦表面上。将包括葡萄糖和蔗糖的各种不同量的渗透促进剂放在片材的中央,接着将第二层聚合的醋酸纤维素置于第一层和渗透促进剂的上面。其边缘用软化的聚合物密封以及称量每一包封件。然后,将包括包在聚合的醋酸纤维素中的渗透性促进剂的该渗透吸收剂包封件放入水中,时间周期范围为自30分至360分。接着,该包封件从水中取出,经用吸水纸巾压干,并得到湿重。试验的结果列于表1中,其中包封件A、B、C和D为含有各种不同量的葡萄糖作为渗透促进剂以及包封件E含有蔗糖作为渗透促进剂。
实施例Ⅱ:
用类似于上述实施例Ⅰ中所列的方法,通过把各种不同量的氯化钠包封入包括醋酸纤维素的半渗透聚合物膜壳内制备得到渗透吸收剂包封件,该醋酸纤维素具有与上述例子类似的表面积和厚度。这些标号F、G、H、I和J的包封件,被浸渍在水中时间周期范围为自90分至1060分。在指定的时间周期的终点,取出包封件,用吸水纸巾轻拍干燥,并称重。这些试验的结果列于下表Ⅱ中。
实施例Ⅲ:
用类似于上述实施例中所列的方法制备采用氯化钠、蔗糖和葡萄糖作为高渗透性促进剂以及醋酸纤维素作为半渗透聚合物膜的四个包封件。在包封件制备和密封后,把四个包封件中的三个浸渍在水中以及把第四个包封件浸渍在含有1%(重量)的氯化钠溶液中。这些包封件浸渍的时间周期直至48小时。在此48小时周期中,在不同的间隔取出包封件,轻拍干燥并称重。在该试验中,包封件K、L和M是被浸渍在水中的,而包封件N则是被浸渍在氯化钠溶液中的。
上表说明每一包封件具有的百分吸收率为基于促进剂重量的约2000%或更多,而水的收吸为基于聚合物重量的自2162%的氯化钠溶液至大于4600%(重量)的水的范围。吸收的对比揭示具有较大渗透性的渗透促进剂,将容许有比具有较小渗透性的渗透促进剂更大的通量。另外,在试验中采用1%氯化钠溶液的水吸收是较小的,由于在溶液中氯化钠的存在抑制了包封件的内部和吸收溶液之间的盐梯度的差别,于是导致较低的水吸收率。
实施例Ⅳ:
比较大周长的中空纤维是由聚合的醋酸纤维素制备的。取定长的纤维,一端密封、并在中空纤维内填入不同量的氯化锂作为高渗透性促进剂。将剩下的一端密封,形成的渗透吸收剂标以O、P和Q。这些长的和薄的包封件被浸渍在水中直至90分钟,定期地取出,轻拍干燥并称重。这些试验的结果示于下表5中。

Claims (11)
1、一种渗透吸收剂,其特征在于包括其中含有高渗透性促进剂的包封的半渗透聚合物膜壳。
2、如权利要求1所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的半渗透聚合物膜壳具有反渗透或超(过)滤性能。
3、如权利要求1所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的渗透性促进剂具有的分子量在500以下。
4、如权利要求1所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于聚合物膜对促进剂的重量比为自约2∶1至约1∶10范围。
5、如权利要求3所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述渗透性促进剂为选自元素周期表中ⅠA族或ⅡA族的金属盐类。
6、如权利要求5所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的盐为氯化锂。
7、如权利要求5所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的盐为氯化钠。
8、如权利要求5所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的高渗透性促进剂为葡萄糖。
9、如权利要求3所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的高渗透性促进剂为蔗糖。
10、如权利要求1所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的半渗透聚合物膜为醋酸纤维素。
11、如权利要求1所述的渗透吸收剂,其特征在于所述的半渗透聚合物膜的厚度为自约5微米至30微米范围。
