Detailed Description
In order to make the present disclosure more complete and complete, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, in which like references indicate similar or analogous elements, and to the various embodiments of the invention described below. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the examples provided below are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. In addition, the drawings are only for illustrative purposes and are not drawn to scale.
Specific embodiments of various aspects of the present invention are described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a text display electronic shelf label according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to fig. 1, the electronic shelf label 10 with text display according to the present invention includes a microprocessor 102, a communication unit 104, a word stock chip 106 and a liquid crystal display module 108. The microprocessor 102 is electrically coupled to the communication unit 104 and the word stock chip 106, and the microprocessor 102 and the communication unit 104 can perform bidirectional data interaction and the microprocessor 102 and the word stock chip 106 can perform bidirectional data interaction. The microprocessor 102 is also electrically coupled to the liquid crystal display module 108.
The electronic shelf labels 10 are placed in front of different items on the shelf and communicate with the server 200 running in the background by means of the communication unit 104. For example, the electronic shelf label 10 receives the data information to be updated from the server 200 via the communication unit 104, and the communication unit 104 sends the received data information to the microprocessor 102. The word stock chip 106 converts the data information into a generated character pattern, and transmits the character pattern back to the microprocessor 102, and finally the microprocessor 102 transmits the character pattern to the liquid crystal display module 108, and the liquid crystal display module 108 displays the character pattern on a screen. In one embodiment, the communication unit 104 is a radio frequency communication unit or a wired data communication unit. Preferably, the communication unit 104 and the server 200 perform data interaction through the relay station 202, and the relay station 202 corresponds to a radio frequency relay station (the communication unit 104 is a radio frequency communication unit) or a wired data communication relay station (the communication unit 104 is a wired data communication unit).
In one embodiment, text-displaying electronic shelf label 200 is self-contained battery powered or wired cable powered. For example, battery-powered or cable-powered versions may be suitable for different work situations. For small supermarkets such as convenience stores with slow article turnover, due to small operation space, the updating speed of article information on the electronic shelf label is slow, and the electronic shelf label can be supplied with power by a self-contained battery. For a transfer station of a large-scale warehouse supermarket or a logistics company, the article information is updated quickly, and a wired cable is needed to supply power so as to ensure that the electronic shelf label is not powered off. In addition, for the wired cable power supply, when the cable is arranged on the existing shelf, the safe power supply of less than 36V, such as 24V or 12V, is mostly adopted, and the cable is arranged in the frame and fixed. If the shelf is newly installed, cables or electric disks can be reserved in the frame of the shelf in advance, and all the cables on the shelf are electrically communicated after the frame is installed.
As described above, the electronic shelf label of the present invention can display updated character contents as well as updated graphic contents. Specifically, taking character updating as an example, the communication unit 104 of each electronic shelf label 10 includes a self ID number, when the electronic shelf label 10 performs character content updating, the server 200 sends an in-character code (characters are single bytes, and Chinese characters are double bytes) for representing the character content to be updated through the relay station 202, the communication unit 104 detects the in-character code corresponding to the self ID number, and then the microprocessor 102 sends the received in-character code to the word stock chip 106. The font library chip 106 generates a dot pattern according to the code in the character, and sends the dot pattern back to the microprocessor 102, and the liquid crystal display module 108 receives the dot pattern to display the updated character content. Therefore, when the displayed character content is updated, the character to be displayed is directly called through the local font library chip in the electronic shelf label, so that the data transmission quantity between the computer or the server and the electronic shelf label can be greatly reduced, the transmission time is shortened, and the article information is displayed more timely.
Taking a graph update as an example, the communication unit 104 of each electronic shelf label 10 includes a self ID number, when the electronic shelf label 10 performs a graph content update, the server 200 sends code data for representing a word library graph to be updated through the relay station 202, the communication unit 104 detects the code data corresponding to the self ID number, and the microprocessor 102 receives the code data from the communication unit 104 and directly sends the code data to the liquid crystal display module 108 to display the updated graph content. In this case, its graphical data still needs to be transmitted by the server 200 to the electronic shelf label 10. However, the graphic content may also be solidified into the word stock chip 106, such as a trademark of a commercial product or the like. Because the trademark style is fixed and uniform and cannot be changed frequently, the graphic content with the trademark and the like which are fixed and uniform can be solidified in the word stock chip 106 in a character mode, so that the graphic content can be called by the local word stock chip 106 in the electronic shelf label, the time for transmitting data is saved, and the power consumption is reduced.
In addition, when the electronic shelf label 10 updates the graphic content, the server 200 sends a code for representing the one-dimensional barcode and the two-dimensional code to be updated through the relay station 202, the communication unit 104 detects the code of the one-dimensional barcode and the two-dimensional code corresponding to the ID number of the communication unit, the microprocessor 102 sends the code of the one-dimensional barcode and the two-dimensional code to the chinese and foreign language font library chip 106, the chinese and foreign language font library chip 106 generates a dot matrix graphic according to the code of the one-dimensional barcode and the two-dimensional code, and the liquid crystal display module 108 receives the dot matrix graphic to display the graphic content of the updated one-dimensional barcode and the two-dimensional code.
Fig. 2 illustrates an embodiment of the text display electronic shelf label application of fig. 1 as a warehouse pick label. In this embodiment, the liquid crystal display module is an actively powered liquid crystal color screen. The communication unit is a wired transceiving unit. The microprocessor is a CPU (central processing Unit).
Referring to fig. 2, the text display electronic shelf label 10 of the present invention further includes an operation keyboard. The operation keyboard is used for executing addition and subtraction operation so as to change the quantity of the goods on the shelf. In this embodiment, the operation keyboard is a physical keyboard and is disposed on one side of the liquid crystal color screen 108. For example, the physical keyboard includes a numeric add key 112 and a numeric subtract key 114.
In one embodiment, the electronic shelf label further comprises a wireless power receiver (not shown), and the wireless power receiver is used for providing power for the liquid crystal color screen.
In order to ensure that the item information in the electronic shelf label is updated synchronously with the item information stored in the server running in the background, the electronic shelf label also comprises an operation confirmation indicator lamp 110 with a key. This is accomplished by operating the confirmation indicator 110 and the controls between the physical keyboard (keys 112 and 114) and the microprocessor 102 to confirm that the refresh operation is completed by the depressed operation confirmation indicator 110. The warehouse pick label may also include a clear key 116 for performing add, subtract, and clear operations of the physical keyboard.
In detail, in order to solve the problem that the electronic shelf label in the prior art cannot transmit the latest real object inventory information back to the computer, the electronic shelf label is provided with an operation confirmation indicator lamp 110 and a number of plus-minus keys 112 and 114. The operation confirmation indicator 110 and the number plus-minus keys 112 and 114 are electrically coupled to the CPU102, respectively. When one article on the shelf is less, the manager presses the down key 114 of the number of the up and down keys, at this time, the operation confirmation indicator lamp 110 flickers to indicate that the electronic shelf label 10 is performing the updating operation, meanwhile, the CPU102 receives the down operation command and returns the command to the server 200 through the wired transceiving unit 104 and the relay station 202, after the server 200 completes the updating of the corresponding article information, the operation confirmation indicator lamp 110 is normally on, the manager can know that the article information returning from the electronic shelf label 10 to the server 200 is completed, at this time, the operation confirmation indicator lamp 110 is pressed, the operation confirmation indicator lamp 110 is turned off, the confirmation is completed, and further, the article information on the shelf is consistent with the article information stored in the server 200. The updating mode is particularly suitable for being used in warehouses or transfer stations of logistics companies, and due to the fact that the quantity and the variety of the articles are changed very fast, the updating speed of the article information displayed by the electronic shelf labels is fast, and therefore when the quantity of the articles is increased or decreased, field management personnel need to complete monitoring of the articles and return the latest article information through operating the confirmation indicator lamp 110 and the quantity increasing or decreasing keys.
