发明内容

具体实施方式
本发明的聚氨酯-基高尔夫球覆层组合物是至少一种聚氨酯预聚物和固化剂的反应产物,该聚氨酯预聚物是多元醇组分和过量的异氰酸酯组分的反应产物。
在本发明中,术语聚氨酯包括聚氨酯预聚物和多元醇或多胺固化剂的反应产物,和因此包括聚氨酯和聚氨酯-脲组合物。
通过本发明已经发现当UV吸收剂在多元醇与异氰酸酯组分反应来形成预聚物之前加入到该多元醇组分中时,改进了该预聚物的加工性,在该预聚物中不存在的不期望的游离异氰酸酯的减少,并且保持了最终聚氨酯组合物的UV吸收性能。因此在一种实施方案中,本发明涉及制造聚氨酯高尔夫球覆层的方法,其包含:在多元醇混合物与二异氰酸酯反应来形成预聚物之前,将多元醇与UV吸收剂组合来形成多元醇混合物。该预聚物然后与固化剂和颜料反应来形成聚氨酯组合物,其然后浇铸到高尔夫球组件周围来形成聚氨酯高尔夫球覆层。
多元醇

合适的聚己酸内酯多元醇(polycaprolactone polyols)包括但不限于二甘醇引发的聚己酸内酯;丙二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;1,4-丁二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;1,6-己二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;三羟甲基丙烷引发的聚己酸内酯;新戊基二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;聚四亚甲基醚二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;乙二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;二丙二醇引发的聚己酸内酯;及其组合。
合适的聚酯多元醇包括但不限于聚乙烯己二酸酯二醇;聚乙烯丙烯己二酸酯二醇;聚丁烯己二酸酯二醇;聚乙烯丁烯己二酸酯二醇;聚六亚甲基己二酸酯二醇;聚六亚甲基丁烯己二酸酯二醇;邻苯二酸酯-1,6-己二醇聚酯多元醇;聚乙烯对苯二酸酯聚酯多元醇;及其组合。
合适的聚碳酸酯多元醇包括但不限于聚(邻苯二酸酯碳酸酯)二醇,聚(六亚甲基碳酸酯)二醇,含有双酚A的聚碳酸酯多元醇及其组合。
合适的烃多元醇包括但不限于羟基端接的液体异戊二烯橡胶(LIR),羟基端接的聚丁二烯多元醇,羟基端接的聚烯烃多元醇,羟基端接的烃多元醇及其组合。
能够用于形成该预聚物的其他多元醇包括但不限于甘油;蓖麻油及其衍生物;PolytailTM H和PolytailTM HA多羟基聚烯烃低聚物,市售自MitsubishiChemical;丙烯酸多元醇;基于羧酸、磺酸或磷酸基团的酸官能化多元醇;由饱和的二聚脂肪酸转化而来的二聚醇;及其组合。
与使用不具有疏水主链的多元醇的那些相比,通过使用基于疏水主链的多元醇,该聚氨酯组合物可以是更大耐水性的。基于疏水主链的多元醇非限定性例子包括烃多元醇,羟基端接的聚丁二烯多元醇,聚醚,聚己酸内酯和聚酯。

UV吸收剂

异氰酸酯
该多元醇/UV吸收剂混合物与异氰酸酯组分反应来形成预聚物。合适的异氰酸酯包括脂肪族,脂环族,芳族脂肪族,其衍生物及其具有两种或者更多种异氰酸酯(NCO)基团/分子的组合物。该异氰酸酯可以是有机的、改性的有机的、有机聚异氰酸酯端接的预聚物或者其组合。该含异氰酸酯的可反应的组分还可以包括任何异氰酸酯官能化单体、二聚体、三聚体或者其多聚加成物、预聚物、类预聚物或其组合。异氰酸酯官能化合物可以包括单异氰酸酯或多异氰酸酯,其包括两种或者更多种的任何异氰酸酯官能度。

催化剂

添加剂和填料
通常包括在该聚氨酯组合物中的另外的材料可以加入到该预聚物、固化剂或者所形成的聚氨酯组合物中。这些另外的材料包括但不限于润湿剂、着色剂、荧光增白剂、交联剂、增白剂(例如TiO2和ZnO)、UV吸收剂、受阻胺光稳定剂、消泡剂、加工助剂、表面活性剂和其他常规添加剂。抗氧化剂、稳定剂、软化剂、增塑剂(包括内和外增塑剂)、冲击改性剂、发泡剂、密度调节填料、增强材料和相容剂也可以加入该组合物中。
填料可以加入该聚氨酯组合物中来影响流变性和混合性、比重(即,密度改变填料)、模量、撕裂强度、增强等。该填料通常是无机的,并且典型的包括诸多金属、金属氧化物和盐如氧化锌、氧化锡、氧化钙、硫酸钡、硫酸锌、碳酸钙、碳酸锌、碳酸钡、粘土、钨、碳化钨、二氧化硅、再研磨材料(再循环的芯材料,典型的研磨到大约30目颗粒)、高门尼粘度橡胶再研磨料及其组合。
高尔夫球结构
本发明的聚氨酯组合物不受具体的高尔夫球结构中所用的组合物的限制,并且可以用于形成多种高尔夫球结构中的覆层。例如该组合物适用于两片(two-piece)、多层和卷绕(wound)的高尔夫球,其具有多种芯结构、中间层、覆层和涂层。

覆层材料

涂层
高尔夫球典型的是通过在覆层上施用一种或多种整饰涂层来整饰的。例如可以施用底涂层和顶涂层。底涂层和顶涂层组合物之一或者之二可以是含颜料的或者是透明的。可以施用几个透明或者含颜料的涂层。

部件尺寸
高尔夫球部件的尺寸,即,厚度和直径,可以根据期望的性能而变化。

下面的实施例使用了下面的材料:
EXWAW113S水性漆,获自Spraylat Corporation;
EXUCC052A/B溶剂性顶涂料,获自Spraylat Corporation;
SPU69723D树脂和GXH69725异氰酸酯,溶剂性漆组分,获自PPGIndustries;和
SPU61369K树脂和GXH69725异氰酸酯,溶剂性顶涂组分,获自PPGIndustries。

1.一种高尔夫球,其包含芯和覆层,其中该覆层是由包含预聚物和固化剂的反应产物的聚氨酯组合物形成的,其中该预聚物是多元醇混合物和二异氰酸酯的反应产物,和其中该多元醇混合物包含处于下述量的UV吸收剂,即,使得最终的聚氨酯包含4wt%-6wt%的该UV吸收剂的量。
2.权利要求1的高尔夫球,其中该高尔夫球另外包含含颜料的溶剂性底涂层和溶剂性顶涂层。
3.权利要求2的高尔夫球,其中该UV吸收剂是2-(2H-苯并三唑-2-基)-4,6-二叔戊基酚。
4.一种制造聚氨酯高尔夫球覆层的方法,该方法包含:
将多元醇与UV吸收剂组合来形成多元醇混合物,
将该多元醇混合物与二异氰酸酯反应来形成预聚物,
将该预聚物与固化剂和颜料反应来形成聚氨酯组合物,和
将该聚氨酯组合物浇铸到高尔夫球组件周围来形成聚氨酯高尔夫球覆层。
5.一种高尔夫球,其包含:

内覆层,其由离聚物组合物形成,并且厚度是0.040英寸-0.050英寸和外表面邵氏C硬度是93或更大;
外覆层,其由聚氨酯组合物形成,并且厚度是0.030英寸-0.035英寸和外表面邵氏C硬度是75-90;
含颜料的溶剂性底涂层;和
溶剂性顶涂层;
其中该聚氨酯外覆层组合物包含预聚物和固化剂的反应产物,其中该预聚物是多元醇混合物和二异氰酸酯的反应产物,和其中该多元醇混合物包含处于下述量的UV吸收剂,即,使得最终的聚氨酯包含4wt%-6wt%的该UV吸收剂的量。
9.权利要求8的高尔夫球,其中该UV吸收剂是2-(2H-苯并三唑-2-基)-4,6-二叔戊基酚。
10.权利要求8的高尔夫球,其中该高尔夫球的外覆层包含多个具有有效边缘角和边缘半径的微凹,其中,除了底涂层是含颜料的水性底涂层之外,该有效边缘角大于和该边缘半径小于其他全部方面都相同的相应的高尔夫球的有效边缘角和边缘半径。
