Background
With the development of mobile communication technology, mobile networks gradually evolve from the initial second generation mobile communication technology (2G) network to the currently popular Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, in order to enable a terminal to initiate Circuit Switching (CS) service such as voice service and receive paging of the CS service when accessing an LTE network, and can correctly process the Packet Switching (PS) service which is currently performed by the terminal in the LTE network, and generate a Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) technology, that is, when the terminal covered by LTE is processing voice service, the terminal first falls back to the CS network, and voice service is carried out under the CS network, so that the aim of reusing the existing CS network equipment to provide voice service for users in the LTE network is achieved.
In the prior art, when a terminal initiates a voice service call to a Mobility Management Entity (MME) in an LTE network, generally, an LTE base station sends an extended service Request (extended service Request) to the MME, so that the MME knows that the terminal needs to perform a CS service, and the MME further instructs the terminal to fall back to a 2G/3G network, and initiates an access Request to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) after the terminal falls back to the 2G/3G network, and the MSC determines whether to allow the UE to initiate the CS service according to a priority of a user and a system load state of the MSC.
However, in the prior art, in the process of initiating the CS service after the terminal falls back to 2G/3G, the terminal often needs to be involved in processing by an LTE base station, a base station controller, and the like, so that the load overhead of the system is large.

Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a first embodiment of an access method for circuit switched fallback CSFB provided by the present invention, where an execution main body of the method according to the embodiment of the present invention is an MSC, and as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
s101: the MSC receives a service request message sent by the MME, wherein the service request message is used for indicating the MSC to determine to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the user equipment, and the service request message is sent by the MME after receiving the CSFB call request sent by the user equipment.
Specifically, the service request message itself may indicate that the MSC determines to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the ue, that is, the MSC may know that it needs to start determining whether to accept the CSFB call request of the ue when receiving the service request message.
S102: MSC judges whether to accept or reject CSFB call request of user equipment, and obtains judgment result.
Specifically, the user equipment initiates a CS calling Service, that is, sends a CSFB call Request to an MME, and after receiving the CSFB call Request sent by the user equipment, the MME sends a Service Request message (Service Request) to the MSC through an SGs interface, where the SGs interface is an interface for performing communication between the MSC and the MME and is used for services such as mobility management, paging, and short message transmission and reception between a CS network and an Evolved Packet Core (EPC); after receiving the service request message, the MSC determines whether to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the user equipment, and obtains a determination result.
S103: and the MSC sends a service response message to the MME according to the judgment result so that the MME sends a notification message to the user equipment according to the service response message.
Specifically, the MSC sends a service response message to the MME according to the determination result, and after receiving the service response message, the MME obtains the determination result by determining the name of the service response message or a parameter carried in the service response message, and sends a notification message to the user equipment, so that the user equipment performs a corresponding operation according to the notification message sent by the MME, that is, the problem of additional overhead of the system caused by the fact that the user equipment falls back to the 2G/3G network and initiates an access request to the mobile switching center and the access request is rejected by the mobile switching center without knowing the determination result of the mobile switching center is avoided.
In the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the mobile management entity sends the service request message to the mobile switching center, and the mobile switching center determines whether to accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the service request message and sends the service response message to the mobile management entity according to the determination result, so that the mobile management entity informs the user equipment whether to send the access request to the mobile switching center according to the service response message, thereby avoiding the extra system overhead caused by the fact that the user equipment initiates the access request to the mobile switching center after falling back to the second generation or third generation mobile communication technology network and reducing the system load.
In the above embodiment shown in fig. 1, S102 may include: the MSC judges whether to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to at least one of the network requested to be accessed by the CSFB call request, the self-capability of the MSC and the load of the network where the MSC is located; when the service response message indicates the MSC to accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the notification message indicates the user equipment to initiate an access request to the MSC; or, when the service response message indicates that the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the notification message indicates that the user equipment does not initiate an access request to the MSC.
It should be noted that, in embodiment 1, before receiving the service request message sent by the MME, the MSC accesses the LTE network, that is, the user equipment is a terminal in the LTE network, and when the user equipment performs a CS service, the MSC first establishes a connection with the LTE base station; then, the LTE base station sends an extended service Request (extended service Request) to the MME so that the MME knows the CS service that the ue needs to perform at this time, and after receiving the extended service Request, the MME sends a response message to the LTE base station, which indicates the LTE base station to release the connection established between the ue and the LTE base station before, and indicates the ue to send a CSFB call Request to the MME to Request to access to a Second Generation mobile communication technology (Second Generation, hereinafter referred to as 2G) network or a Third Generation mobile communication technology (Third Generation, hereinafter referred to as 3G) network, so as to perform the CS service, where the CSFB call Request is used for the ue to Request to access to the 2G network or the 3G network.
In the above process, the MSC determines whether to accept the CSFB call request of the ue, and actually performs a flow control or resource reservation process, that is, the differentiated service may provide higher service access rate and service quality for a high-priority user or service, and under the condition that the system load of the MSC is higher, the MSC often serves the high-priority user or reserves some service resources first, so that the MSC determines whether to accept the CSFB call request of the ue at this time, and determines according to at least one of the network requested to be accessed by the CSFB call request, the capability of the MSC itself, and the load of the network where the MSC is located, and when the system load is higher, the MSC rejects some CSFB call requests of low-priority users, accepts the CSFB call request of the high-priority user, and ensures the access rate of some high-priority user services.
In the above process, if the judgment result is that the MSC accepts the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the MME learns the judgment result according to the name of the service response message or the parameter carried in the service response message, instructs the user equipment to drop back to the 2G network or the 3G network and then initiates an access request to the MSC, and then completes a normal calling flow according to the processing of the prior art; if the judgment result is that the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the MME indicates that the terminal does not fall back to the 2G or 3G network according to the judgment result obtained by the name of the service response message or the parameter carried in the service response message that the MSC does not accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment, and further does not send an access request to the MSC, and exits the initiation of the CS service, that is, the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the user equipment in advance, without requiring the participation of a base station controller in the 3G network as in the prior art.
In the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the mobile management entity sends the service request message to the mobile switching center, and the mobile switching center judges whether to receive the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the service request message and sends the service response message to the mobile management entity according to the judgment result, so that the mobile management entity informs the user equipment whether to send the access request to the mobile switching center according to the service response message, thereby avoiding the extra system overhead caused by the fact that the user equipment initiates the access request to the mobile switching center after falling back to the second generation or third generation mobile communication technology network and reducing the load of the system; meanwhile, the MSC judges the CSFB call request with the MME in advance, so that the time of the CS service of the user equipment in the LTE network is saved, and the CSFB call service efficiency of the user equipment is improved.
Fig. 2 is a schematic flow diagram of a second embodiment of the access method for circuit switched fallback CSFB provided in the present invention, where on the basis of the above embodiment, after step S103, the method further includes an implementation method for accurately calculating a fallback success rate, and includes the following steps:
s201: and the MSC counts the CSFB fallback initiating times according to the judgment result.
Specifically, after the MSC sends the service response message to the MME according to the determination result, the number of CSFB fallback initiation times is also counted according to the determination result; if MSC accepts CSFB call request of user equipment, adding 1 on the basis of last counting CSFB fallback initiation times; if the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the ue, the number of CSFB fallback initiations is counted after the service response is sent to the MME, where the counted number of CSFB fallback initiations is not increased by 1 on the basis of the last counting, but continues to use the counted number of CSFB fallback initiations.
On the basis of the embodiment shown in fig. 2, after S201, the method further includes a method for determining the number of successful fallback times, including the following steps:
s202: and the MSC counts the CSFB falling success times according to the judgment result.
The CSFB fallback success number may be counted according to the following counting manner, if the determination result of S102 is that the MSC receives a CSFB call request of the user equipment, and the MSC receives an access request of the user equipment from the 2G network or the 3G network or receives a cancel local (cancel Location) message of a Home Location Register (hereinafter, referred to as HLR), then 1 is added on the basis of the last counting of the CSFB fallback success number; if the determination result of S102 is that the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the ue, the last counted CSFB fallback success number is not added with 1, but continues to be used.
S203: the MSC determines the CSFB fallback success rate of the user equipment according to the CSFB fallback initiation times and the CSFB fallback success times.
The fallback success rate can be determined by dividing the CSFB fallback success rate obtained in S202 by the CSFB fallback initiation rate obtained in S201.
In the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the MSC counts the CSFB fallback success frequency and the CSFB fallback initiation frequency according to the service response message, so as to determine the fallback success rate, improve the accuracy of the calculation of the fallback success rate, and enable system maintenance personnel to judge whether the system normally operates more accurately according to the fallback success rate.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a third embodiment of an access method for a circuit switched fallback CSFB provided by the present invention, where the method according to the embodiment of the present invention is a mobility management entity, and as shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
s301: and the MME receives the CSFB call request sent by the user equipment.
S302: and the MME sends a service request message to the MSC according to the CSFB call request, wherein the service request message is used for indicating the MSC to determine to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the user equipment.
Specifically, the user equipment initiates a CS calling Service, that is, sends a CSFB call Request to the MME, and after receiving the CSFB call Request sent by the user equipment, the MME sends a Service Request message (Service Request) to the MSC through an SGs interface, where the SGs interface is an interface for performing communication between the MSC and the MME and is used for services such as mobility management, paging, short message transmission and reception between the CS network and the EPC network; after receiving the service request message, the MSC determines whether to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the ue, which is actually a process of performing flow control or resource reservation, i.e. differentiated services may provide higher traffic access rate and quality of service for high priority users or traffic, in the case of a high MSC system load, it is often desirable to provide a service to the high priority users by first serving or reserving some service resources, therefore, the MSC judges whether to accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment at this time according to at least one of the three information of the network requested to be accessed by the CSFB call request, the capability of the MSC and the load of the network where the MSC is located, when the system load is relatively high, rejecting CSFB call requests of some low-priority users, accepting CSFB call requests of high-priority users, and ensuring the call completing rate of some high-priority user services.
S303: and the MME receives a service response message sent by the MSC.
S304: and the MME sends a notification message to the user equipment according to the service response message so that the user equipment determines whether to initiate an access request to the MSC according to the notification message.
Specifically, after determining a CSFB call request of the user equipment, the MSC sends a service response message to the MME, and after receiving the service response message, the MME obtains a determination result by determining a name of the service response message or a parameter carried in the service response message, and sends a notification message to the user equipment, so that the user equipment performs a corresponding operation according to the notification message sent by the MME. The service response message indicates that the mobile switching center judges that the CSFB call request of the user equipment is accepted, and the notification message is used for indicating the user equipment to initiate an access request to the mobile switching center; or, when the service response message indicates that the mobile switching center judges that the CSFB call request of the user equipment is rejected, the notification message is used to indicate that the user equipment does not initiate an access request to the mobile switching center.
In the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the mobile management entity sends the service request message to the mobile switching center, and the mobile switching center judges whether to accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the service request message and sends the service response message to the mobile management entity according to the judgment result, so that the mobile management entity informs the user equipment whether to send the access request to the mobile switching center according to the service response message, thereby avoiding the extra system overhead caused by the fact that the user equipment initiates the access request to the mobile switching center after falling back to the second generation or third generation mobile communication technology network and reducing the load of the system.
Before the MME receives a CSFB call request sent by a user equipment, the user equipment accesses a long term evolution LTE network, and the CSFB call request is used for the user equipment to request to access a second generation mobile communication network or a third generation mobile communication technology network.
The scene before the MME receives the CSFB call request sent by the user equipment is that the user equipment is accessed to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, namely the user equipment is a terminal in the LTE network, and when the user equipment carries out CS service, connection is firstly established with an LTE base station; then, the LTE base station sends an Extended Service Request (Extended Service Request) to the MME so that the MME knows the CS Service that the ue needs to perform at this time, and after receiving the Extended Service Request, the MME sends a response message to the LTE base station to instruct the LTE base station to release the connection established between the ue and the LTE base station, and instructs the ue to send a CSFB call Request to the MME to Request to access to the 2G network or the 3G network, thereby performing the CS Service.
If the judging result is that the MSC accepts the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the MME acquires the judging result according to the name of the service response message or the parameter carried in the service response message, instructs the user equipment to drop back to the 2G network or the 3G network and then sends an access request to the MSC, and then completes a normal calling process according to the processing of the prior art; if the judging result is that the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the MME indicates that the MSC does not accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the name of the service response message or the judging result obtained by the parameters carried in the service response message, and the MME indicates that the terminal does not fall back to the 2G or 3G network, further does not send an access request to the MSC, and exits the initiation of the CS service.
In the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the mobile management entity sends the service request message to the mobile switching center, and the mobile switching center judges whether to receive the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the service request message and sends the service response message to the mobile management entity according to the judgment result, so that the mobile management entity informs the user equipment whether to send the access request to the mobile switching center according to the service response message, thereby avoiding the extra system overhead caused by the fact that the user equipment initiates the access request to the mobile switching center after falling back to the second generation or third generation mobile communication technology network and reducing the load of the system; meanwhile, the MSC judges the CSFB call request with the MME in advance, so that the time of the CS service of the user equipment in the LTE network is saved, and the CSGB call service efficiency of the user equipment is improved.
Fig. 4 is a signaling flowchart of a fourth embodiment of an access method for a circuit switched fallback CSFB, as shown in fig. 4, the method includes the following steps:
s401: the user equipment sends a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection request to the LTE base station, so that the user equipment can send a CSFB call request to the LTE base station.
S402: the LTE base station sends an RRC connection establishment response to the user equipment.
S403: the LTE base station sends an extended service request message to the MME.
S404: and the MME sends a service request message to the MSC according to the extended service request.
S405: the MSC judges whether to accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the service request message to obtain a judgment result.
The MME sends a service request message to the MSC so that the MSC judges whether to accept the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to the service request message, namely the MSC judges whether to accept or reject the CSFB call request of the user equipment according to at least one of a network requested to be accessed by the CSFB call request, the self-capability of the MSC and the load of the network where the MSC is located, and a judgment result is obtained.
S406: the MSC sends a service response message to the MME according to the judgment result; if the service response message indicates that the MSC accepts the CSFB call request of the user equipment, S407 is performed; if the service response message indicates that the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the user equipment, S409 is performed.
S407: and the MME instructs the LTE base station to drop the user equipment to the 2G or 3G network according to the service response message.
After receiving the service response message, the MME sends an initialization connection establishment request to the LTE base station, so that the LTE can release the RRC connection established between the user equipment and the LTE base station; after the RRC connection release, the LTE base station instructs the user equipment to fall back to the 2G network or the 3G network
S408: the user equipment sends an access request to the MSC.
S409: the MME sends a notification message to the user equipment so that the user equipment does not initiate an access request to the MSC.
If the determination result of the MSC is negative, that is, the service response message indicates that the MSC rejects the CSFB call request of the user equipment, the MME directly sends a notification message to the user equipment, so that the user equipment does not send an access request to the MSC, and it should be noted that a base station controller or a radio network controller is not needed at this time, thereby reducing additional overhead of the system.
