Abstract
本发明涉及用抗微生物材料处理织物的方法。本发明进一步涉及用于使所述抗微生物材料沉积到织物上的组合物。本发明的一个目的是应用洗衣处理组合物,其在低的抗微生物剂水平下具有良好的抗微生物特性。已意外发现,包含低含量季铵生物杀伤剂和聚合物络合物的组合物提供改善且持久的卫生保健效力,导致穿着期间不良气味降低。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及用抗微生物材料处理织物的方法。本发明进一步涉及用于使所述抗微生物材料沉积到织物上的组合物。
背景技术
现今的消费者高度重视卫生保健。
人类皮肤一般含多种不同的微生物,其浓度超过数百万或甚至数十亿菌落形成单位(cfu)/每平方厘米(cm2)。这些微生物中有许多是无害的,但还存在多种致病的类型或亚种,诸如大肠杆菌(Escherichia coli,也称作E. coli)和金黄色葡萄球菌(Staphylococcus aureus,也称作S. aureus)。有些其它细菌可存在于皮肤菌群中,诸如表皮葡萄球菌(Staphylococcus epidermidis,也称作S. epidermidis),它一般不致病,但被认为引起不愉快的身体气味。
当抗微生物剂沉积到服装上时,可减轻由汗液中皮肤细菌生长所致的不良气味。
因此,现今的消费者喜欢具有抗微生物活性的洗衣处理产品。
在本领域中已提议了多种其它卫生保健材料。近年来,很多出版物涉及精油的抗菌作用。
WO 00/34423(Hindustan Lever Limited, 2000)公开了用于清洁织物或硬表面的协同洗涤剂组合物。该洗涤剂组合物包含阴离子表面活性剂、阳离子消毒剂组分和阴离子聚合物。该发明描述,将阴离子聚合物结合到阴离子表面活性剂基洗涤剂制剂中,使得阳离子表面活性剂具有活性。它提供了能为基材赋予优异去污和卫生益处的洗涤剂组合物。该申请并未公开聚合物络合物。
EP 1111034 A1(The Procter & Gamble Company, 2001)公开了洗衣和/或清洁和/或织物处理组合物,其包含有益试剂和载体。所述有益试剂可选自调味成分、药物成分、生物防治成分、芳香剂组合物、清新清凉成分和它们的混合物。所述载体是聚合物。所述有益试剂与所述载体的组合使有益试剂能充分地抵抗氧化并能进一步有效地沉积到织物上。该申请并未公开能提供改善且持久的卫生保健效力的聚合物络合物。
但是,仍期待具有抗微生物效果的洗衣产品,出于安全原因,优选在低的抗微生物剂剂量下具有抗微生物效果的洗衣产品。
因此,本发明的一个目的是,提供洗衣处理组合物,其在低的抗微生物剂水平下具有良好的抗微生物特性。
本发明的再一目的是,提供有效对抗常见皮肤细菌的组合物,所述细菌既包括革兰氏阳性细菌又包括革兰氏阴性细菌。
已意外发现,包含低含量季铵生物杀伤剂(biocide)和聚合物络合物的组合物提供改善且持久的卫生保健效力。
发明内容
据此,本发明提供为洗衣提供抗微生物效果的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:使聚合物络合物和季铵生物杀伤剂沉积到织物制品上,和让织物制品干燥,所述聚合物络合物包含聚合物A和聚合物B,聚合物A选自羧酸的均聚物和共聚物,聚合物B选自环氧烷、乙烯基吡咯烷酮的均聚物和共聚物;和/或乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物;其中聚合物A和聚合物B不属同类;且其中,在沉积和干燥步骤之间,不对织物进行漂洗。
在第二方面,本发明提供聚合物络合物或混合物与季铵生物杀伤剂的组合用于向织物制品提供抗微生物效果的用途,所述聚合物络合物或混合物包含聚合物A和聚合物B,聚合物A选自羧酸的均聚物和共聚物,聚合物B选自环氧烷、乙烯基吡咯烷酮的均聚物和共聚物和/或它们的;和/或乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物。
抗微生物效果意指能够在针对纺织材料上抗菌整理的标准试验条件(例如,AATCC 100-1999)下杀灭细菌。

具体实施方式
本发明组合物因此包含聚合物络合物或混合物和季铵生物杀伤剂。
聚合物络合物
本发明聚合物络合物包含聚合物A和聚合物B,聚合物A选自羧酸的均聚物和共聚物,聚合物B选自环氧烷、乙烯基吡咯烷酮的均聚物和共聚物;和/或乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物。本发明组合物包含聚合物A和聚合物B。聚合物A和B的选择典型地应使得它们能因氢键的形成而形成络合物。
所述聚合物可是均聚物或共聚物,其中单体X的共聚物意指任何含单体X和至少一种其它单体的聚合物。
所述组合物中聚合物A和B的比例优选为1:5~5:1、更优选1:2~2:1。
聚合物A
根据本发明,聚合物A是选自羧酸均聚物和共聚物的聚合物。聚合物A具有多个羧基。聚合物A的分子量优选为300~109 D(道尔顿,也称作原子质量单位、amu)。聚合物A选自由羧酸聚合物的均聚物或共聚物组成的一类,包括该类中的天然、合成和半合成聚合物在内。
本发明聚合物A的一些非限制性示例包括:
(a)羧酸均聚物,包括但不限于聚羧酸诸如聚丙烯酸、聚马来酸,或丙烯酸和马来酸的共聚物。
(b)包含羧基的多糖。所述多糖可包括(但不限于)淀粉、纤维素、藻酸钠、天然树胶和它们的改性材料诸如羧甲基纤维素钠、羟乙基纤维素。
羧酸均聚物或共聚物的分子量优选为2×103~107 D,更优选5×104~106 D,最优选9×104~5×105 D。
如果聚合物是微粒形式,则粒度优选小于200 μm、优选小于100 μm、更优选小于50 μm、再更优选小于10 μm、或甚至小于5 μm。
多糖均聚物或共聚物的分子量优选为103~109 D,更优选104~109 D,最优选105~109 D。
聚合物A优选被至少部分中和成钠(Na+)形式,优选聚合物A的至少10%w、更优选至少20%、再更优选至少50%被中和。
聚合物A可以是合成、半合成或天然的。但是,合成或半合成聚合物是优选的。
聚合物A优选是水溶性或水可分散的,最优选聚合物A是水溶性的。
聚合物A优选选自由羧酸均聚物或共聚物组成的一类。
所述羧酸均聚物或共聚物优选是聚丙烯酸或其共聚物。示例包括SOKALAN? PA(BASF)和CARBOPOL?(Lubrizol)。
本发明组合物中聚合物A的浓度优选为按重量计基于所述组合物的0.005~25%,更优选至少0.01%或甚至至少0.05%,但优选至多15%、更优选小于5%、再更优选小于1%、甚至更优选地小于0.5%、甚至小于0.1%或甚至小于0.05%。
相对织物表面积而言的聚合物A量优选是0.5~200 μg/cm2织物表面积、更优选1~100 μg/cm2织物表面积、最优选2~50 μg/cm2织物表面积。如本文所用,术语“织物表面积”意指织物单面的表面积。
聚合物B
根据本发明,聚合物B具有包含可与聚合物A的羧基形成氢键的基团的单体单元。
相应地,聚合物B选自由环氧烷、乙烯基吡咯烷酮的均聚物和共聚物组成的一组;和/或由乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物组成的一组。
由乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物组成的一组一般不是水溶性的。为获得该组聚合物的益处,粒度的设置应使得粒子可容易地分散于水和/或水溶液(即,洗涤或漂洗液)中。如果该聚合物是微粒形式,则粒度优选小于200 μm、更优选小于100 μm、甚至更优选小于50 μm、更优选小于10 μm、或甚至小于5 μm。
羧酸和/或糖类和/或聚烷撑二醇/醚的聚合物和均聚物有资格被选作聚合物A或聚合物B,因为它们包含羟基或羧基并且包含羰基或醚基团。但是,根据本质方面,聚合物A和聚合物B不属同类。特别优选的是,聚合物A和B选自不同类别的聚合物。无意束缚于理论,据信聚合物A和B在溶于水时形成络合物,该络合物溶解度低于聚合物A和B每一个的溶解度,这有助于提高沉积和其它益处。
聚合物B的分子量优选为103~109 D。
乙烯基吡咯烷酮或乙烯醇的均聚物或共聚物的分子量优选为103~107 D、更优选104~106 D、最优选30,000~500,000 D。可以使用可市购的聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮,其中一个示例是LUVISKOL?(BASF)。
聚环氧烷的均聚物或共聚物的分子量优选大于2×104 D。其分子量优选为2×104~106 D、更优选3×104~5×105 D、最优选5×104~2×105 D。
糖类的均聚物或共聚物的分子量优选为103~109 D、更优选104~109 D、最优选105~109 D。任何可市购的聚环氧烷例如POLYOX?(Dow Chemical Co)可根据本发明使用。
聚合物B可以是合成、半合成或天然的。但是,合成或半合成聚合物是优选的。
根据一优选实施方案,聚合物B是水溶性的。
特别优选的是,聚合物B选自由乙烯基吡咯烷酮或环氧烷的均聚物或共聚物组成的一类。
本发明组合物中聚合物B的浓度优选为按重量计基于所述组合物的0.005~20%,更优选至少0.01%或甚至至少0.05%,但优选至多10%、更优选小于5%、再更优选小于1%、甚至更优选地小于0.5%、甚至小于0.1%或甚至小于0.05%。
相对织物表面积而言的聚合物B量优选是0.5~200 μg/cm2织物表面积、更优选1~100 μg/cm2织物表面积、最优选2~50 μg/cm2织物表面积。如本文所用,术语“织物表面积”意指织物单面的表面积。
下文给出一些特别优选的聚合物A和聚合物B组合的示例。

最优选的聚合物组合是PAA-PVP、PAA-PEO、PAA-PEG、淀粉-接枝-聚甲基丙烯酸-聚环氧乙烷。
季铵生物杀伤剂
季铵生物杀伤剂优选选自鲸蜡基-三甲基-氯化铵、鲸蜡基-三甲基-溴化铵、十四烷基-三甲基-氯化铵、十二烷基-三甲基-氯化铵、硬脂基-三甲基-氯化铵、十八烷基-三甲基-氯化铵、十二烷基氯化吡啶鎓、西吡氯铵、苯扎氯铵、四丁基-氯化铵、四庚基-氯化铵、1,3-癸基-2-甲基-氯化咪唑鎓、1-十六烷基-3-甲基-氯化咪唑鎓、二癸基-二甲基-溴化铵、二癸基-二甲基-氯化铵。
溴化物一般因其毒性而不是优选的。
最优选的季铵生物杀伤剂是苯扎氯铵和西吡氯铵。
所述组合物中存在的季铵生物杀伤剂浓度优选为按重量计基于所述组合物的0.01~10%,但优选至少0.02%或甚至至少0.05%,同时优选至多5%、更优选至多1%、还更优选至多0.5%、更优选至多0.4%、更优选至多0.3%、优选至多0.2%或甚至至多0.1%。
该组合物优选包含第二季铵生物杀伤剂。
当该组合物中存在不止一种季铵生物杀伤剂时,上述浓度可被认为是组合的季铵生物杀伤剂的浓度,但优选与各季铵生物杀伤剂中的每一个相关。
无意束缚于理论,据信生物杀伤剂在聚合物溶解期间被结合进由聚合物A和聚合物B形成的聚合物络合物中。所述聚合物络合物的溶解度比聚合物A和B溶解度都低,这有助于提高生物杀伤剂沉积到织物上。由此向织物提供增强的生物杀伤特性。
组合物
本发明组合物可应用于多种洗衣处理组合物,但本发明在织物调理剂组合物中的应用是最优选的。
该组合物的pH优选是中性或弱酸性,更优选pH 2~9,更优选至少pH 3,更优选小于pH 8,更优选小于pH 7,或甚至小于pH 5。
方法
在另一方面,提供了通过在漂洗步骤中使本发明组合物沉积到织物上来处理织物以提供抗微生物效果的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:将组合物施加到漂洗液中,和使织物干燥。为减少已沉积物质的损失,在处理后使织物干燥。
漂洗液与布(织物)之比优选在20:1~1:1。
实施例
现利用下列非限制性实施例举例说明本发明。
实施例1:抗菌试验
在本实施例中,利用针对纺织材料上抗菌整理的标准方法AATCC 100-1999,证明本发明织物处理组合物的抗菌效力。
将各细菌菌种(例如,表皮葡萄球菌和大肠杆菌)悬浮在常见营养培养基(TSB)中的工作培养物注入两份重复织物样品中。将样品在37℃、潮湿条件下温育规定的4小时接触时间。温育后,利用Griffin?振荡器,以中和剂(D/E中和剂)回收细胞。用CY琼脂(由HiMedia供应)倾注平板接种来确定活细胞计数。通过比较未处理样本与处理样本的种群大小来评价活性。
测试了以下制剂。

1) 聚合物络合物包含1.5:1的PAA(聚丙烯酸;Mw 100,000 D,购自Sigma-Aldrich)和PEO(聚环氧乙烷;Mw 100,000 D,购自Sigma-Aldrich),其量列在表中。

以上结果显示聚合物络合物与季铵生物杀伤剂一起出乎意料地改善细菌杀灭效果,而单个的组分则显示明显较差的细菌杀灭效果。
实施例2:与可市购织物调理剂的比较
沿用与实施例1相同的流程,但现还与包含季铵表面活性剂和不同的季铵化合物CPC(西吡氯铵)的可市购织物调理剂(Comfort,购自Unilever India)做比较。
实施例2的组合物和结果如下。

上表显示聚合物络合物与季铵生物杀伤剂的组合的惊人抗菌效果。
实施例3:聚合物浓度的影响
沿用与实施例1相同的流程,但现比较不同的聚合物浓度。
测试了以下制剂。

以上结果显示聚合物络合物与季铵生物杀伤剂一起出乎意料地改善细菌杀灭效果,甚至在24小时后也如此。
Claims (6)
1.为洗衣提供抗微生物效果的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:
a. 使包含(i)聚合物A和(ii)聚合物B的聚合物络合物与(iii)季铵生物杀伤剂沉积到织物制品上,聚合物A选自羧酸的均聚物和共聚物,聚合物B选自环氧烷、乙烯基吡咯烷酮的均聚物和共聚物;和/或乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物;
其中聚合物A和聚合物B不属同类,和
b. 让织物制品干燥;且
其中在步骤a和b之间不对织物进行漂洗。
2.根据权利要求1的为洗衣提供抗微生物效果的方法,其中聚合物A的浓度为按重量计基于所述组合物的0.005~25%。
3.根据权利要求1或2中任一项的为洗衣提供抗微生物效果的方法,其中聚合物B的浓度为按重量计基于所述组合物的0.005~20%。
4.根据权利要求1~3中任一项的为洗衣提供抗微生物效果的方法,其中季铵生物杀伤剂的浓度为按重量计基于所述组合物的0.01~10%。
5.根据前述权利要求中任一项的为洗衣提供抗微生物效果的方法,其中所述组合物的pH在2~9。
6.包含(a)聚合物A和(b)聚合物B的聚合物络合物与(c)季铵生物杀伤剂的组合用于向织物制品提供抗微生物效果的用途,其中聚合物A选自羧酸的均聚物和共聚物,聚合物B选自环氧烷、乙烯基吡咯烷酮的均聚物和共聚物;和/或乙烯醇、糖类、羟烷基纤维素的均聚物和共聚物。
