Abstract
The invention discloses a media gateway and a method for improving voice quality of a conference telephone. The media gateway comprises a coding and decoding conversion module, a voice mixing module and a voice quality improving module additionally arranged between the coding and decoding conversion module and the voice mixing module. The voice quality improving module is used for receiving voice signals output by the coding and decoding conversion module, carrying out power adjustment processing on the voice signals and sending processed voice signals to the voice mixing module; and/or, the voice quality improving module is used for receiving voice mixing signals output by the voice mixing module, carrying out power adjustment processing on the voice mixing signals and sending processed voice mixing signals to the coding and decoding conversion module. By means of the media gateway and the method for improving the voice quality of the conference telephone, the voice quality of the conference telephone is further improved, and hardware resources do not need to be additionally arranged on the media gateway.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of communication, in particular to a media gateway and a method for improving the voice quality of a conference call.
Background
With the development of Next Generation Networks (NGN), a conference service is required to be performed in the NGN. In a multi-party conference telephone system, a plurality of participants located at different geographical locations can be simultaneously communicated by voice. And special mixing equipment is arranged in the NGN for the conference service to complete the mixing processing of the conference telephone voice. However, because the input signals of each conference telephone terminal are different, the input signals of a plurality of conference telephones are processed by the sound mixing equipment, so that overlarge voice signals can appear, and participants can hear noise; or the voice signal is too small, and the participants can not hear clearly.
In the prior art, methods for improving the voice quality of a conference call are proposed, and most of the methods for improving the voice quality are implemented by a mixing device, which can improve the voice quality of the conference call to a certain extent, as shown in fig. 1, a conventional media gateway device mainly includes the following functional modules:
a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) access module: and the data exchange function between a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and the interior of the media gateway is completed.
A packet receiving and transmitting module: and finishing the transceiving function of the media packet between the external IP network and the inside of the media gateway.
The coding and decoding conversion module: and finishing the function of converting time slot data and IP data of PSTN side Pulse Code Modulation (PCM for short).
The sound mixing module: and completing the sound mixing function of each input voice of the conference telephone.

As shown in fig. 2, a conventional method for improving the voice quality of a conference call by a media gateway device includes the following steps:
s101: a conference call is established between a far-end conference user A and a near-end conference user B;

However, there are still some problems in the voice transmitted to each conference phone terminal after being processed by the mixing device, for example, when the power of the signal is too large, the voice may be introduced into the mixing device after being processed, and this problem is related to the mixing algorithm, and the mixing device cannot avoid the problem.
In addition, a method for implementing voice quality control added to a conference telephone terminal is also proposed in the prior art, however, since there are many terminal devices under the NGN, the voice quality situation of each terminal may be different, if the terminal device under each NGN needs to consider the problem of voice quality control independently, that is, each time one terminal user is added, the terminal device needs to consider the problem of voice quality control, and needs to have a corresponding control method. Thus, the cost of the terminal device increases. This is not always acceptable to the user, and not all terminal devices support such voice control functionality.
Therefore, in view of the above problems in the prior art, there is an urgent need to provide an improved method for improving the voice quality of a conference call by a media gateway, so as to overcome some problems of the voice transmitted to each conference call terminal after being processed by a mixing device.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a media gateway and a method for improving the voice quality of a conference call, so as to further improve the voice quality of the conference call without additionally adding hardware resources to the media gateway.
In order to solve the above technical problem, the present invention provides a media gateway, which comprises an encoding/decoding conversion module, a sound mixing module, and a voice quality improvement module added between the encoding/decoding conversion module and the sound mixing module;

In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It can be seen from the foregoing embodiments that, compared with the prior art, the media gateway and the method for improving the voice quality of a conference call provided in the foregoing embodiments are based on the structure of the existing media gateway, where a voice quality improving module is added between the codec conversion module and the audio mixing module, and the voice quality improving module performs power adjustment processing on the voice signal of the conference call output by the codec conversion module and/or the audio mixing signal after audio mixing is completed by the audio mixing module, so as to overcome the drawback that, after processing by the audio mixing device in the prior art, there are some problems in the voice sent to each conference call terminal, further improve the voice quality of the conference call, and do not require additional hardware resources to be added by the media gateway.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the steps of the above methods may be implemented by instructing the relevant hardware through a program, and the program may be stored in a computer readable storage medium, such as a read-only memory, a magnetic or optical disk, and the like. Alternatively, all or part of the steps of the above embodiments may be implemented using one or more integrated circuits. the voice quality improvement module detects the power value of the voice signal or the sound mixing signal, compares the power value with the voice signal quality threshold parameter of the conference telephone, and judges whether the power of the voice signal or the sound mixing signal needs to be adjusted according to the comparison result.
4. The media gateway of claim 3,
the conference call voice signal quality threshold parameter comprises a power upper limit value, or a power upper limit value and a power lower limit value;
the comparing of the voice quality improvement module with the conference call voice signal quality threshold parameter, and the judging whether the power of the voice signal or the audio mixing signal needs to be adjusted according to the comparison result include:
if the power of the voice signal or the audio mixing signal is larger than the upper limit value of the power, the voice quality improving module weakens the voice signal or the audio mixing signal according to the power;
or,
if the power of the voice signal or the audio mixing signal is larger than the upper limit value of the power, the voice quality improving module weakens the voice signal or the audio mixing signal according to the power;
and if the power of the voice signal or the sound mixing signal is smaller than the lower power limit value, the voice quality improvement module amplifies the voice signal or the sound mixing signal.
5. A media gateway according to claim 3 or 4,
the data configuration module presets the same or different voice signal quality threshold parameters for the voice signal and the sound mixing signal.
6. A method of improving conference call voice quality, comprising:
after the telephone conference is established, the media gateway performs power adjustment processing on the decoded voice signal, then enters audio mixing processing to obtain an audio mixing signal, and the audio mixing signal is coded and then is sent to a telephone conference user;
or, the media gateway performs power adjustment processing on the decoded voice signal, then enters audio mixing processing to obtain an audio mixing signal, performs power adjustment processing on the audio mixing signal, encodes the processed audio mixing signal and then sends the encoded audio mixing signal to the teleconference user;
or, the media gateway decodes and mixes the voice signal to obtain a mixed voice signal, performs power adjustment processing on the mixed voice signal, and encodes and transmits the processed mixed voice signal to the teleconference user.
7. The method of claim 6,
the method further comprises the following steps: configuring a voice quality improvement function for opening or closing the media gateway;
before performing the power adjustment processing on the voice signal or the audio mixing signal, judging whether the media gateway starts a voice quality improvement function of the voice quality improvement module, and if so, performing the power adjustment processing; otherwise, the voice signal is directly subjected to sound mixing processing, or the sound mixing signal is directly coded.
8. The method of claim 6,
the method further comprises the following steps: presetting a conference telephone voice signal quality threshold parameter;
the media gateway performing power adjustment processing on the voice signal or the audio mixing signal includes:
and the media gateway detects the power value of the voice signal or the sound mixing signal, compares the power value with the quality threshold parameter of the voice signal of the conference telephone, and judges whether the power of the voice signal or the sound mixing signal needs to be adjusted according to the comparison result.
9. The method of claim 8,
the conference call voice signal quality threshold parameter comprises a power upper limit value, or a power upper limit value and a power lower limit value;
the media gateway performing power adjustment processing on the voice signal or the audio mixing signal includes:
if the power of the voice signal or the audio mixing signal is larger than the upper limit value of the power, the media gateway weakens the voice signal or the audio mixing signal;
or,
if the power of the voice signal or the audio mixing signal is larger than the upper limit value of the power, the media gateway weakens the voice signal or the audio mixing signal;
and if the power of the voice signal or the audio mixing signal is smaller than the lower power limit value, the media gateway amplifies the voice signal or the audio mixing signal.
10. The method of claim 8,
and the preset quality threshold parameters of the conference telephone voice signals for the voice signals and the audio mixing signals are the same or different.
