Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of shared networks, and in particular, to a method and a system for switching Radio Network Controllers (RNCs) based on a shared Network.
Background
With the development of wireless communication technology, operators introduce the concept of shared network in order to effectively utilize network resources and save operation and maintenance expenses. In a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) system, there are two typical shared networks:
1) different networks share the same RNC and base station, but the sharing is not realized due to the monopoly of the cell level;
2) different networks share the same cell, and cell-level sharing is realized.
In the shared Network, a Network side performs corresponding authentication, admission control, resource allocation and switching control on a terminal belonging to the Network (e.g., Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN)). In particular, in admission control, an operator often requires that other network users cannot use resources belonging to the network.
Currently, 3GPP has also developed standards for shared networks, and currently focuses on the control part of the access of the wireless terminal, and the related standards are still lacking in terms of the inter-IUR port mobility characteristics of the terminal. For example, when a terminal is in soft joining with a target rnc (DRNC) side cell from a Source Rnc (SRNC) side cell of a common carrier frequency and multiple PLMNs, if the SRNC only sends a radio link setup/addition request message, the DRNC may not know which network (e.g., PLMN network) radio resources should be allocated to the terminal when setting up a radio link on the DRNC side, thereby causing problems in inter-operator charges and resource usage of the shared network.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a method and a system for switching an RNC based on a shared network, which can enable a DRNC to effectively identify a terminal identity, and avoid problems caused by charges and resource usage among operators.

and the DRNC is used for performing admission control and resource allocation according to the information of the current network used by the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network.
The SRNC informs the DRNC of the information of the current network used by the terminal and/or the information of the home network of the terminal:
the SRNC sends a message independently to inform the DRNC of the information of the network currently used by the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network, or carries the information of the network currently used by the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network in a wireless link establishment/increase request message sent to the DRNC.

Detailed Description
The basic idea of the invention is: under the RNC switching scene, the SRNC informs the DRNC of the information of the current network used by the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network.
In practical application, the SRNC may send a message to notify the DRNC of information of a currently used network and/or information of a terminal home network of the terminal, or may carry the information of the currently used network and/or the information of the terminal home network, such as PLMN (mobile country code (MCC) + Mobile Network Code (MNC)) information, in a Radio Link Setup/Addition Request (Radio Link Setup/Addition Request) message of the IUR interface. Specifically, the SRNC may notify the DRNC by adding a core network Domain Identifier (CN Domain Identifier) to the radio link setup/addition request, and then the DRNC performs admission control and resource allocation according to information of a currently used network of the terminal and/or information of a terminal home network.
The SRNC may also notify the DRNC of terminal International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) information, for example, the terminal IMSI information is carried in a radio link setup/addition request message of the IUR interface.
Correspondingly, after the SRNC informs the DRNC of the information of the currently used network of the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network, the DRNC feeds back a corresponding neighbor cell list DRNC to the SRNC, for example, in an IUR interface radio link setup/addition response message, the DRNC may feed back the corresponding neighbor cell list to the SRNC according to the information of the currently used network transmitted by the SRNC, so that the SRNC performs neighbor cell control.
Optionally, the present invention may also notify the SRNC of the failure reason when the DRNC fails to perform admission control or resource allocation, for example, the failure reason is carried in an IUR port radio link setup/addition failure message, and the SRNC may perform related processing for the failure reason after receiving the radio link setup/addition failure message.
The invention also provides a RNC switching system based on the shared network, which comprises: SRNC and DRNC; wherein,
the SRNC is used for informing the DRNC of the information of the current network used by the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network in the RNC switching scene;
and the DRNC is used for performing admission control and resource allocation according to the information of the current network used by the terminal and/or the information of the terminal home network.
And the SRNC is also used for informing the DRNC of the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) information of the terminal.
And the DRNC is also used for feeding back a corresponding neighbor cell list to the SRNC.
The DRNC is also used for informing the SRNC of the reason of the failure when the admission control or the resource allocation fails.
The following describes the implementation of the technical solution in further detail with reference to specific embodiments.
Example 1
In this embodiment, a shared network is successfully switched across RNCs, and fig. 1 is a schematic flow chart of an RNC switching method based on a shared network according to embodiment 1 of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step 101: SRNC judges to initiate cross RNC soft switch, or same frequency hard switch, or different frequency hard switch, then sends wireless link establishment/increase request to DRNC, the request carries the information PLMN A of the current network used by the terminal and the PLMN information of the terminal home network. (PLMN information may also be included in the CNDomain Identifier for delivery).
Step 102: and the PLMN set of the switching target cell and the PLMN to which the terminal belongs or the PLMN of the network currently used by the terminal have intersection, and the resource admission is carried out under the intersection PLMN, and the admission is successful.
In this embodiment, after receiving the radio link establishment/addition request sent by the SRNC, the DRNC determines that the PLMN set of the target Cell 1 on the DRNC side requesting handover includes the PLMN a of the currently used network of the terminal, and then the DRNC performs resource admission on the terminal in the resource pool of the PLMN a in the Cell 1, and the admission is successful.
Step 103: the DRNC distributes related resources for the terminal and returns a radio link establishment/increase response message to the SRNC, wherein the message carries the PLMN used by the target cell to admit the terminal. And the radio link establishment/increase response message simultaneously feeds back the neighboring Cell relation of the Cell 1 containing the PLMN A to the SRNC.
Example 2
In this embodiment, a shared network fails to switch across RNCs, and fig. 2 is a schematic flowchart of a shared network-based RNC switching method according to embodiment 2 of the present invention, where as shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
step 201: after SRNC judges to initiate cross-RNC soft switching, or same frequency hard switching, or different frequency hard switching, SRNC sends wireless link establishment/increase request to DRNC, the request carries PLMN A of the network currently used by the terminal and PLMN information of the terminal home network (the PLMN information can also be contained in CNDomain Identifier for transmission).
Step 202: and the PLMN of the switching target cell is equal to or contains the PLMN of the terminal home PLMN or the PLMN of the network currently used by the terminal, and the admission is carried out in the PLMN resource pool of the terminal home of the target cell, and the admission fails.
In this embodiment, after receiving the radio link establishment/addition request sent by the SRNC, the DRNC determines that the PLMN set of the target cell 1 on the DRNC side requesting handover includes the PLMN a, and then the DRNC performs resource admission on the terminal in the resource pool of the PLMN a in the cell 1, and the admission fails.
Step 203: the DRNC returns a radio link establishment/addition failure message to the SRNC, and the message carries the failure reason as the resource allocation failure (or no resource allocation) of the DRNC side.
Example 3
In this embodiment, a shared network fails to switch across RNCs, and fig. 3 is a schematic flowchart of a shared network-based RNC switching method according to embodiment 3 of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
step 301: SRNC judges to initiate cross RNC soft switch, or same frequency hard switch, or different frequency hard switch, then sends wireless link establishment/increase request to DRNC, the request at least carries PLMNA of network currently used by terminal.
Step 302: and the PLMN set of the switching target cell does not intersect with the PLMN of the network currently used by the terminal, and PLMN acceptance is rejected.
In this embodiment, after receiving the radio link establishment/addition request sent by the SRNC, the DRNC determines that the PLMN set of the target cell 1 on the DRNC side requesting handover does not include the PLMN a, and the DRNC determines that PLMN admission fails.
Step 303: the DRNC returns a radio link establishment/addition failure message to the SRNC, and the message carries the failure reason as PLMN admission failure (or no available PLMN).
Example 4
This embodiment describes a sharing network across RNC reconfiguration process, and fig. 4 is a schematic flowchart of a shared network based RNC handover method according to embodiment 4 of the present invention, as shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
step 401: after SRNC judges to initiate a cross-RNC reconfiguration process, a radio link reconfiguration preparation message is sent to DRNC, and PLMNA of a network currently used by the terminal is carried in the request.
Step 402: after receiving the radio link reconfiguration preparation sent by the SRNC, the DRNC carries out resource admission under the PLMN A, and the admission is successful.
Step 403: the DRNC returns a radio link reconfiguration preparation completion message to the SRNC.
The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
