Abstract

Description
本发明涉及一种提高在温室或者植物隧道(plant tunnels)中或者在覆盖层(mulches)上的植物生长的方法,其通过将一种或多种黄色颜料或者染料混入到温室、覆膜(mulch film)或者玻璃窗中,并将该植物通过这样的膜或者在这样的膜之上曝露到太阳辐射,目的是获得在410-450nm、380-410nm与450-500nm之间的特定的和限定的比率的透射的、发射的或者反射的光。本发明另外的方面是一种或多种黄色颜料或者染料作为植物生长提高添加剂在用于温室、植物隧道或者覆盖层的聚合物膜中或者在用于温室玻璃窗的涂层中的用途,目的是获得在410-450nm、380-410nm与450-500nm之间的特定的和限定的比率的透射的、发射的或者反射的光。
本领域公知的是一些类型的农作物是通过太阳辐射的UV成分而退化的,该UV成分必须被滤掉来获得农作物高品质和产量。此外,一些微生物例如灰霉菌(Botrytis Cinerea),以及一些害虫,例如粉虱(white flies),蚜虫(aphides),蓟马(thrips)或者潜叶蝇(leafminers),能够在特定的UV辐照下繁殖。当UV光不照射到植物或者以很少的量照射到植物时,这些害虫会明显减少。[R.Reuveni等人,Developmentof photoselective PE films for control of foliar pathogens ingreenhouse-grown crops,Plasticulture第102期第7页(1994);Y.Antignus等人,The use of UV absorbing plastic sheets to protect cropsagainst insects and spread of virus diseases,CIPA Congress 1997年3月,第23-33页]。另一方面,为了确保开花植物例如西红柿、黄瓜、南瓜等结果实,在温室中必须要保持蜜蜂的活跃性(这需要某些频带的UV辐照)。
通过适当放置的材料而产生的太阳辐射的改变能够通过改变其它的环境因素而间接的影响植物的生长。更直接的环境影响因素是温度。确实如此,温室的一种主要的原始目的就是相对于未保护的环境,提高在白天获得的温度和降低夜晚的温度损失。这样的好处是通过使用材料而得以改善和微小调整的,其通过调节在电磁光谱的近红外(NIR,700-2000nm)和中红外(2-20μm)区域中的辐射通量,避免了白天 过度的热量获得或者进一步降低夜间的热量损失。属于这种类别的材料例如在WO-A-9405727、US4895904和EP1652422中被请求进行保护。本发明不影响这些频率范围。
植物的生长更直接的是通过光合作用、光形态发生作用(phtomorphogenesis)和光照周期性(photoperiodicity)来调节的。全部的这些过程需要光并且以独特的形式助于植物生长。如果外界的太阳辐射光谱能够通过覆盖温室的玻璃窗或者薄膜或者通过覆盖地面的覆膜的光学性能而明显改变,则可能产生植物生长的改变。通过农用薄膜透射的或者反射的辐射的变化诱发了光合作用和光形态发生作用的效果,并且能够产生植物的新陈代谢、结构和形状的变化,具有显著的农作物价值的结果。
植物为了它们的能量需要而利用的光是在PAR区域(光合有效辐射)中的光,定义为在400-700nm的全部光子。最为熟知的植物所用的光形态发生作用参数(photomorphogenic parameter)是红(600-700nm)与远红(700-800nm)的比率,例如在EP 1 413 599中所公开的。另一方面,更高能量的蓝光和非常高能量的近UV(380-500nm)也是非常重要的,如同例如在Brian Thomas和H.G.Dickinson,Evidence for twophotoreceptors controlling growth in de-etiolated seedlings,Planta第146期第545-550页(1979)所示的那样,虽然它们是更少为人们所理解的。这个波长范围是本发明主要感兴趣的区域。
在很早以前,人们就开始进行了许多尝试来影响植物的生长,这些尝试是通过控制穿过覆盖物如在温室和隧道中所用的那些或者由覆盖片(mulching sheet)反射的自然光来进行的[参见例如,Delaroquette,M,Biologic action of sunlight,the Journal of the American MedicalAssociation第66期第65页(1915)]。一种简单的策略是在特定光波长范围内的选择性吸收。例如,通过使用下面的体系能够获得红/远红的提高,在该体系中,大约730nm波长的光相对于大约660nm波长的光是优选被吸收的,这些波长是光敏色素感光器(phytochromephotoreceptor)的光可互相转换异构体的吸收光谱中的最大值。几种专利请求保护这样的效果,例如GB2314844、EP1080878和US6441059。还有一些市售产品使所获得的红/远红的提高成为它们的销售资料中的一个卖点(British Polythene的“Solatrol”薄膜是一个这样的例子,其目的是产生更紧凑的观赏植物)。
但是,由于缺乏关于植物对于其它特定光波长范围的强度改变的反应方面的知识,导致迄今为止不可能制造出真实有效的产品。实际上,如WO-A-9405727、US3542710、EP1582555和RO116242中的,已经多次声称发现了借助于特定颜色,或者更经常地,任何颜色,的益处。颜色不同地被定义为材料的那些或者透射或反射的辐射的那些。时常地,所述的颜色没有在光谱方面(spectrally)限定超出其文字确定的(culturally-determined)名称(黄色,绿色,红色,蓝色等)。有时它们是通过规定用于获得它们所使用的颜料或者染料来限定的,但是更经常地,例如在RO116242中,所提供的商品名是一般性的(generic)并且没有明确地限定化合物或者光谱,这使得无法重复或者利用这样的发现。类似地,WO-A-9405727要求保护通过将无机干涉颜料,特别是那些优先反射或者透射绿光的颜料,添加到聚合物膜中所获得的任何的着色材料。但是,发现这些材料都没有得以实际应用,这主要是因为它们所依赖的物理效应(即双层干涉)差的光谱选择性。
实际上,产生本发明的研究已经表明,植物“看见”颜色与人类非常不同,并且它们对于光谱变化是敏感的,与对于人眼所见的相比,这表现为强度变化更细微和波长变化更清楚明显。
已经令人惊讶地在对比试验中发现,在受控的实验室条件和现实条件二者下,植物对于380-500nm范围中的特定的太阳光谱变化存在着积极的反应,但是其它的同样波长区域的光谱变化,其对于人眼产生非常类似的颜色,要么没有效果,要么对植物产生不利的影响。光谱变化,其是本发明的一个目标,不能用简单的颜色比率(红/远红,蓝/红等,如WO-A-9405727中的)来描述,后者通常用于专利和科技文献二者中来描述植物对于光质变化(light quality modification)的反应。
本发明一方面是一种提高农业应用中的生物质生产的方法,其通过将一种或多种颜料或者染料混入到热塑性或者交联的聚合物中,并将该植物通过该热塑性或者交联的聚合物或者在该聚合物之上曝露到光化学辐射(actinic radiation)来进行的,所述的热塑性或者交联的聚合物是用于保护幼小植物的并且是下面的形式:用于温室或者小隧道覆盖物(small tunnel covers)的薄膜或者玻璃窗,用于遮阳网和遮阳屏(shading nets and screens)的薄膜或者细丝(filament)、覆膜、非织造布或者模塑制品;
特征在于:
a)在380-450nm范围内所形成的平均光强度变化(LIV)是:
(LIV410-450-LIV380-410)/|LIV410-450|={[(I-I0)/I0]410-450-[(I-I0)/I0]380-410}/{[(I-I0)/I0]410-450的绝对值}≤0.04;
b)在410-500nm范围内所形成的平均光强度变化是:

c)在420-450nm范围内所形成的平均光强度变化是:

在各自的波长范围内的I0是在该范围内的不含所述颜料的样品的平均光强度,乘以波长差;

参数I和I0是作为波长的函数,例如借助于带有累计球(integrating ball)的分光光度计来测量的,目的是度量透射光的直射和散射的部分(the direct and the scattered portion)。
例如参数I0(400-420)是从400nm-420nm的平均值乘以λΔ=20nm来计算的。上面的等式中的其它参数是类似确定的。
上面的等式中的绝对值在数学意义上总是表示各自差值的正数。
用“光强度变化”(LIV)来表示进行变化后的光强度和进行变化前的光强度之间的差,按照进行变化前的光强度来度量。
由于上面的公式使用的是强度的商,因此获得相对的数,并且不必进行日光辐射测量(actinometric measurement)来确定在各自的间隔中所透射的光子的绝对量。
在本发明的范围内,与在380-500nm范围之外的太阳光谱区域中的本发明(的光强度变化)同时,可以发生任何另外的选择性光强度变化,这产生例如在R/FR(600-700nm相对于700-800nm)中的变化或者在热屏蔽效应(大于700nm波长的光的吸收或反射)中的变化。
本发明的光变化可以通过使用选择性的光吸收性颜料或者染料、 选择性的光发射性颜料或者染料、选择性的光反射性颜料或者染料或者它们的任何次序的组合来获得。
“在光化学辐射下”被理解为300-800nm范围的电磁辐射,优选400-700nm范围的太阳辐射。但是,同样可以使用400-700nm的人造光。
例如一种或多种颜料或者染料是以总量0.01wt%-2wt%,特别是0.05-1wt%而混入的,基于热塑性或者交联的聚合物的重量。如果使用大于一种的颜料,则每一种是以0.01%-0.5%的量存在的。
颜料通常是优选的。
合适的颜料是黄色颜料(yellow pigments),其选自单偶氮(Monoazo)黄色颜料,双偶氮缩合颜料(Disazo Condensation Pigments),偶氮色淀或者盐颜料(Azo Laked or Salt Pigments),金属络合物颜料(MetalComplex Pigments),金属盐颜料(Metal Salt Pigments),异吲哚啉颜料(Isoindoline Pigments),异吲哚啉酮颜料(Isoindolinone Pigments),蒽醌颜料(Anthraquinine Pigments),蒽嘧啶颜料(AntrhrapyrimidinePigments),喹诺酞酮(Quinophthalone)颜料和其它杂环。
单个的颜料可以选自上面的类别。它们是例如在IndustrialOrganic Pigments,编者W.Herbst,K.Hunger,VCH Weinheim,NewYork,1993中列出的并且是市售可得的。
合适的颜料是黄色颜料,其选自C.I.颜料黄184、C.I.颜料黄93、C.I.颜料黄95、C.I.颜料黄168、C.I.颜料黄68、C.I.颜料黄183、C.I.颜料黄109、C.I.颜料黄13、C.I.颜料黄62、C.I.颜料黄199、C.I.颜料黄110、C.I.颜料黄128、C.I.颜料黄180、C.I.颜料黄155、C.I.颜料黄151、C.I.颜料黄215、C.I.颜料黄138和C.I.颜料黄139。
如果使用几种市售等级品,则被推荐用于聚合物应用中的那些是优选的。颜料还可以与树脂组合来提供。
所述的热塑性聚合物薄膜可以由不同的聚合物来制造。例子在下面给出。
1.单烯烃和二烯烃的聚合物,例如聚丙烯,聚异丁烯,聚丁-1-烯,聚-4-甲基戊-1-烯,聚乙烯基环己烷,聚异戊二烯或者聚丁二烯,以及环烯烃的聚合物,例如环戊烯或者降冰片烯,聚乙烯(其任选是可 以交联的),例如高密度聚乙烯(HDPE),高密度和高分子量聚乙烯(HDPE-HMW),高密度和超高分子量聚乙烯(HDPE-UHMW),中密度聚乙烯(MDPE),低密度聚乙烯(LDPE),线性低密度聚乙烯(LLDPE),(VLDPE)和(ULDPE)。
聚烯烃(即上一段中示例性的单烯烃的聚合物(优选聚乙烯和聚丙烯))可以通过不同的,特别是通过下面的方法来制备:
a)自由基聚合(通常在高压和高温下)。
b)使用催化剂的催化聚合,该催化剂通常含有一种或多种元素周期表第IVb,Vb,VIb或者VIII族的金属。这些金属通常具有一种或多种配位体,典型的是氧化物,卤化物,醇化物,酯类,醚类,胺类,烷基,链烯基和/或芳基,其可以是π-或者σ-配位的。这些金属络合物可以处于自由形式或者固定在基底上,典型的是固定在活化的氯化镁,氯化钛(lll),氧化铝或氧化硅上。这些催化剂在聚合介质中是可溶的或者是不溶的。催化剂可以本身用于聚合中,或者进一步可以使用活化剂,典型的是烷基金属,氢化金属,金属烷基卤化物,金属烷基氧化物或者金属烷基噁烷,所述的金属是元素周期表第Ia,IIa和/或IIIa族的元素。活化剂可以方便的用另外的酯、醚、胺和甲硅烷基醚基团来改性。这些催化剂体系通常称为菲利普类催化剂,印地安纳美孚油公司催化剂(Standard Oil Indiana),齐格勒(-纳塔)催化剂,TNZ(杜邦),茂金属或单一位点催化剂(SSC)。
2.在1)中提到的聚合物的混合物,例如聚丙烯和聚异丁烯的混合物,聚丙烯和聚乙烯(例如PP/HDPE,PP/LDPE)的混合物和不同类型的聚乙烯(例如LDPE/HDPE)的混合物。

4.烃树脂(例如C5-C9),包括其氢化改性物(例如增粘剂)和聚亚烷基与淀粉的混合物。

6b.衍生自在6)中提及的聚合物的氢化获得的氢化芳族聚合物,尤其包括通过氢化无规立构聚苯乙烯制备的聚环己基乙烯(PCHE),常常称之为聚乙烯基环己烷(PVCH)。
6c.衍生自在6a)中提及的聚合物的氢化获得的氢化芳族聚合物。

合适的热塑性聚合物还是淀粉改性的聚烯烃,淀粉基聚合物组合物,生物聚合物例如聚己内酯、聚乳酸、聚羟基乙酸、聚羟基丁酸酯-戊酸酯、聚琥珀酸丁二醇酯、聚乙烯醇、聚羟基链烷酸酯(polyhydroxy-alcanoate)或者聚己二酸乙二醇酯。
特别优选的是聚烯烃或者聚乙烯乙酸酯(polyvinylacetates),特别是(PE)聚乙烯,(LDPE)低密度聚乙烯,线性低密度聚乙烯(LLDPE),(VLDPE),(ULDPE)和乙基乙酸乙烯酯(EVA,ethylvinylacetate)。
优选的是热塑性聚合物是厚度为10μ-300μ,特别是10μ-200μ的薄膜形式。
在所述方法的一种特别的实施方案中,所述的薄膜是一种2-7个聚合物层的多层结构,其在至少1层中包含一种或多种颜料。
在这种情况中,较大量的(一种或多种)颜料,例如1-15wt%,以薄层(10-20μ)的形式施加到由包含很少颜料的或者不含颜料的聚合物所制造的成形制品。所述施加可以,例如通过共挤出,与基础制品的成形同时来进行。备选地,对基础制品的所述施加可以在其成形之后进行,通过例如薄膜层压或者通过溶液涂覆。
在所述方法的另外的实施方案中,交联的聚合物是在透明无机或者有机载体上的油漆(paint)或者涂料(coating)。
合适的油漆或者涂料的例子在下面给出。
1.交联的聚合物,其衍生自醛类(一方面)和酚类,脲类和蜜胺(另一方面),例如酚醛树脂,脲醛树脂和蜜胺甲醛树脂。
2.干性和非干性醇酸树脂。

典型的这些交联的油漆或者涂料被施用到例如诸如上述的聚合物基底上或者施用到玻璃板上。
涂层厚度典型的是10μ-100μ,优选20μ-60μ。
当另外的添加剂被混入到热塑性或者交联的聚合物中时,其是非常有利的。该添加剂合适地选自UV吸收剂,空间位阻胺光稳定剂,酚类抗氧化剂,亚磷酸酯或者亚膦酸酯(phosphonite),抗静电剂,加工助剂,填料或者增强材料和防雾剂。

实施例1
制备了一系列的含有市售的黄色颜料和其它添加剂的塑料膜(150微米厚),并测量它们的光学光谱(使用带有累计球的Perkin Elmer 35UV/可见光分光计)来对比它们所提供的光谱的光变化。所述的薄膜组 分表示在表1中。几种这样的薄膜属于本发明,其它的不属于本发明,因为它们不满足参数A或者B所述的条件:本发明参数值报告在表2中,并且用带有累计球的Perkin Elmer Lambda 35UV/可见光分光计所测量的光谱表示在图1和2中。

实施例2
测试根据本发明的光谱的光变化对于丝石竹(Gypsophilia)的影响,使用大量的花卉布置(floral arrangements)和花束中的切割下来的花卉。对比在本发明范围之外的380-500nm区域的对照光谱的光变化,以及无色对照检验组。光谱的光变化报告在图3中,并且其是通过塑料膜(该塑料膜覆盖其中所述花生长的隧道)获得的(180微米厚的吹塑膜,由3∶2的LDPE/LLDPE共混物制成)。图3中的光谱是用带有累计球的Perkin Elmer Lambda 35UV/可见光分光计测量的。薄膜组成表示在表3中。

试验是用获自在温室中发芽的种子的相同的佛得角黄瓜(Cucumissativus cv Verde)植物来进行的。该秧苗然后被分别移植到5L的含有泥煤和沙子(1∶1)的塑料盆中,并转移到人能够进入的生长室中。将滤光器放置在距离人造光源20cm的地方进行空气循环来防止高温损害。二十个植物在26±2℃和16h光亮/8h黑暗循环下,在同样的温度、浇水、施肥和双滤光器处理的条件下生长。在整个试验周期内对所述的植物进行充分的浇水。它们间隔5cm放置,并且在试验过程中,随着植物的长高,通过调整人造光和滤光器的高度来将它们的顶部保持在所计算的距离滤光器的位置上。在两种情况中同时出现开花和坐果,当它们成熟时收集果实并进行称重。最终的结果以及说明本发明的光谱的变化参数报告在表6中,所述的结果是将在中性对照滤光器下(样品3.2)的果实重量/所收集的植物作为100,以其作为参照,报告了在本发明的滤光器下(样品3.1)和着色的对照条件下(样品3.3)的果实重量/所收集的植物。

实施例5
测试根据本发明的光谱的光变化对于小胡瓜(couugettes)(又名:夏南瓜(zucchini),西葫芦(Cucurbita pepo L.))的影响。对比本发明的范围之外的380-500nm区域的对照光谱的光变化以及无色对照检验组。光谱的光变化报告在图6中,并且该光谱是通过覆盖隧道(所述的花卉生长在其中)的塑料膜来获得的。样品5.1是一种180微米厚的吹 塑膜,其由3∶2LDPE/LLDPE共混物制成,样品5.2和5.3是150微米厚的由LDPE制成的吹塑膜。图6中的光谱用带有累计球的PerkinElmer Lambda 35UV/可见光分光计测量的。薄膜的组成表示在表9中。

三个同样的隧道(5m宽,10m长和2.5m高,16个小胡瓜植株在它们每一个下生长)分别在意大利比萨的大学研究农场(Universityresearch farm)中用上面的每一个薄膜覆盖。在九月和十月采集果实。最终的结果以及说明本发明的光谱的变化参数报告在表10中,所述的结果是将在无色对照滤光器下(样品5.3)的果实重量/所收集的植物作为100,以其作为参照,报告了在本发明的滤光器下(样品5.1)和在着色对照滤光器下(样品5.2)的果实重量/所收集的植物。

Claims (9)
1.一种提高农业应用中的植物生长的方法,其通过将一种或多种颜料或者染料混入到热塑性或者交联的聚合物中,并将该植物通过该热塑性或者交联的聚合物或者在该聚合物之上曝露到光化学辐射来进行的,所述的热塑性或者交联的聚合物是用于保护幼小植物的并且是下面的形式:
用于温室或者小隧道覆盖物的薄膜或者玻璃窗,
用于遮阳网和遮阳屏的薄膜或者细丝,
覆膜,
非织造布,或者
模塑制品;
特征在于:
a)在380-450nm范围内所形成的平均光强度变化(LIV)是:
(LIV410-450-LIV380-410)/|LIV410-450|={[(I-I0)/I0]410-450-[(I-I0)/I0]380-410}/{[(I-I0)/I0]410-450的绝对值}≤0.04;
b)在410-500nm范围内所形成的平均光强度变化是:
(LIV410-450-LIV450-500)/|LIV410-450|={[(I-I0)/I0]410-450-[(I-I0)/I0]450-500}/{[(I-I0)/I0]410-450的绝对值}≤-0.15;和
c)在420-450nm范围内所形成的平均光强度变化是:
LIV410-450=-0.90≤[(I-I0)/I0]410-450≤-0.10或者+0.05≤[(I-I0)/I0]410-450≤+0.50;
其中
在各自的波长范围内的I0是在该范围内的不含所述颜料的样品的平均光强度,乘以波长差;
在各自的波长范围内的I是在该范围内的包含所述颜料的样品的平均光强度,乘以波长差,
其中所述的一种或多种颜料或者染料是以0.01wt%-2wt%的总量混入的,基于热塑性或者交联的聚合物的重量,
其中所述的颜料是黄色颜料,其选自单偶氮黄色颜料、双偶氮缩合颜料、偶氮色淀颜料、金属络合物颜料、金属盐颜料、异吲哚啉颜料、异吲哚啉酮颜料、蒽醌颜料、蒽嘧啶颜料、和喹诺酞酮颜料。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中该颜料是C.I.颜料黄184、C.I. 颜料黄93、C.I.颜料黄95、C.I.颜料黄168、C.I.颜料黄68、C.I.颜料黄183、C.I.颜料黄109、C.I.颜料黄13、C.I.颜料黄62、C.I.颜料黄199、C.I.颜料黄110、C.I.颜料黄128、C.I.颜料黄180、C.I.颜料黄155、C.I.颜料黄151、C.I.颜料黄215、C.I.颜料黄138和C.I.颜料黄139。
3.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述的热塑性聚合物选自聚烯烃、聚酯、聚乙烯醇、聚乙烯乙酸酯和聚碳酸酯。
4.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述的热塑性聚合物处于厚度为10μ-300μ的薄膜形式。
5.根据权利要求4的方法,其中该薄膜是2-7个聚合物层的多层结构,其在至少1层中包含一种或多种颜料。
6.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述的交联的聚合物是在透明无机或者有机载体上的油漆或者涂料。
7.根据权利要求1的方法,其中将至少一种另外的添加剂混入到所述的热塑性或者交联的聚合物中,其选自UV-吸收剂、空间位阻胺光稳定剂、酚类抗氧化剂、亚磷酸酯或者亚膦酸酯、抗静电剂、加工助剂、填料或者增强材料和防雾剂。
8.一种或多种黄色颜料在热塑性或者交联的聚合物中提高农业应用中植物生长的用途;所述的黄色颜料选自单偶氮黄色颜料、双偶氮缩合颜料、偶氮色淀颜料、金属络合物颜料、异吲哚啉颜料、异吲哚啉酮颜料、蒽醌颜料、蒽嘧啶颜料、和喹诺酞酮颜料;所述的热塑性或者交联的聚合物是用于保护幼小植物的并且是下面的形式:
用于温室或者小隧道覆盖物的薄膜或者玻璃窗,
用于遮阳网和遮阳屏的薄膜或者细丝,
覆膜,
非织造布,或者
模塑制品,
其中所述的一种或多种颜料或者染料是以0.01wt%-2wt%的总量混入的,基于热塑性或者交联的聚合物的重量。
9.权利要求8的用途,其中所述植物生长是花卉和水果生长。
