Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of network communication technologies, and in particular, to a method, a system, and a network device for network layer configuration.
Background
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.16e system is a Mobile broadband wireless access system, which mainly comprises a Mobile Station (MS) and a Base Station (BS). Wherein, the base stations are widely distributed and have a large number. The near-end maintenance of the base station by the maintenance personnel is work with high cost, low efficiency and poor timeliness. Therefore, the probability of near-end maintenance is reduced, the remote maintenance capability of the base station is improved, and the method is an effective measure for improving the product competitiveness at present.
In the remote maintenance of the base station, a necessary condition is that the network between the remote maintenance end and the base station must be cleared. Wherein, the network is unblocked comprising two aspects, one aspect is unblocked physical links; another aspect is that the network layer configuration must be correct. When the networking scheme is changed, the network layer configuration must be modified accordingly, for example, when an Internet Protocol (IP) address is changed, the network layer configuration data needs to be modified again so as to adapt to a new IP address.
In the prior art, when a networking scheme is changed, such as an IP address is changed, a network layer reconfiguration method comprises the steps of performing reachability detection on the next hop of the network layer, and deleting the original configuration of the network layer if the next hop of the network layer is reachable; otherwise, resetting the BS system is executed, and network layer reconfiguration is carried out through returning the configuration recovery operation to the data before the network layer configuration.
Typically, the network layer next hop refers to the first routing address, typically a gateway, that the BS enters the internetwork. In this way, it can be achieved that when a networking scheme, such as an IP address, changes, the network layer reconfigures to continue the processing of the traffic. However, in this way, when the next hop of the network layer is not reachable, for example, when the gateway is not reachable, the system needs to be reset to recover the state before the network layer is configured. And in the reset process of the system, the service is completely interrupted. This causes service discontinuity and thus a great loss to the operator.
Disclosure of Invention
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a system for network layer configuration, and a network device, which can recover the original configuration of a network layer without performing a base station system reset when a next hop of a new configuration of the network layer is not reachable, thereby implementing service continuity.
In order to achieve the purpose, the technical scheme of the invention is realized as follows:
a method of network layer configuration, comprising:
receiving a new configuration of a network layer;
detecting whether the network channel corresponding to the new configuration is reachable;
and determining the configuration to be used by the network layer according to the detection result.

and the determining unit is used for determining the configuration to be used by the network layer according to the received detection result sent by the detecting unit.
As can be seen from the foregoing technical solutions, in the method, the system, and the network device for configuring a network layer according to the embodiments of the present invention, by receiving a new configuration of the network layer, it is detected whether a network channel corresponding to the new configuration is reachable, and a configuration to be used by the network layer is determined according to a detection result. When the next hop of the new configuration of the network layer is not reachable, the original configuration of the network layer can be recovered without executing the resetting of the base station system, thereby realizing the continuity of the service.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.
Different from the prior art, the embodiment of the invention receives the new configuration of the network layer; detecting whether the network channel corresponding to the new configuration is reachable; according to the detection result, the configuration to be used by the network layer is determined, so that when the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer is not reachable, the original configuration of the network layer can be recovered without executing the resetting of the base station system, thereby realizing the continuity of the service and reducing the risk of the configuration of the network layer.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for configuring a network layer according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the process includes the following:
In this step, the new configuration of the receiving network layer may be an IP, a route, or an address of a gateway. Wherein, as to how to receive the new configuration of the network layer is similar to the prior art, the description is omitted here.
The TCP/IP protocol provides that a network card can bind at least one new IP. Similarly, the route and the gateway can be configured with at least one new route and gateway. Therefore, in this step, the number of new configurations of the network layer may be not less than 1.
102, detecting whether a network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer is reachable, and if so, executing 103; otherwise, step 104 is performed.
In this step, the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer is a channel which reaches the gateway by combining the new configuration of the network layer and the original configuration of the network layer; or, newly configuring a channel reaching the gateway for the network layer. For example, if the new configuration of the network layer is an IP address, the channel formed by the IP address and the gateway and the route in the original configuration of the network layer is also a network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer, that is, a new channel. Of course, a new IP address of the network layer and other new configurations, such as routing, of the network channel corresponding to the IP address may also be configured at the same time, and specific situations should be specifically analyzed.
In this step, detecting whether the newly configured network channel of the network layer is reachable specifically includes:
a1: and sending an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) message to the gateway through a network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer.
A2: before reaching the gateway, the ICMP message carries the routing information that the ICMP message passes through.
A3: and the gateway returns the ICMP message carrying the routing information.
A4: and detecting the routing information carried by the returned ICMP message, judging whether the routing information is the information of the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer or not under the condition that the gateway is detected to be reachable, if so, enabling the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer, otherwise, not enabling the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer.
In application, when it is detected that the gateway is reachable, it may happen that the ICMP packet adopts a network channel corresponding to the original configuration of the network layer. Therefore, in order to prevent this, in step a4, when it is detected that the gateway is reachable, it is further determined whether the routing information is information of a network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer. Of course, when it is detected that the gateway is unreachable, the network layer must newly configure the corresponding network channel.
Of course, in this embodiment, it is also possible to detect whether the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer is reachable by using other methods instead of sending the ICMP message. Such as other commands or notifications that carry routing information may be employed.
In this embodiment, when it is detected that the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer is reachable, the original configuration of the network layer is deleted, and it is determined that the new configuration of the network layer received in step 101 is the configuration to be used by the network layer. Therefore, the risk of remote maintenance of the base station system can be reduced, and errors caused by new data configured by a network layer can be avoided; or the sequence of new network layer configuration is wrong, so that the base station cannot be remotely maintained. Thus, the network layer can receive and transmit the IP message through the new configuration of the received network layer.
And 104, deleting the new configuration of the network layer received in the step 101, and taking the original configuration of the network layer as the configuration to be used by the network layer.
In this step, when it is detected that the network channel corresponding to the new configuration of the network layer is not reachable, the new configuration of the network layer received in step 101 is directly deleted, and the original configuration of the network layer is continuously used for service processing.
It can be seen from the above steps that no matter whether the new configuration of the network layer is successful, the network layer can receive and transmit the IP packet without causing service interruption.
Embodiments of the present invention may be applied to any situation where network layer configuration is modified through a remote network connection.
