Abstract

一种塑胶产品的制作方法,其步骤包括:注塑成型工件,对浇口进行模内预切,使浇口与该工件的连接强度降低;取出连接有浇口的工件;断开该工件的浇口以形成产品。所述塑胶产品的制作方法采用浇口模内预切,一方面保留了浇口与工件的连接,表面处理时可避免接触工件,另一方面浇口预切后的厚度可以轻易断开而不留毛边或缺口,这样较大地提高了生产良率。

塑胶产品的制作方法
技术领域
本发明是关于一种塑胶产品的制作方法,特别是关于一种小型塑胶产品的制作方法。
背景技术
为满足消费者对电子装置外观越来越高的要求,生产商在制作电子装置表面上的保护镜片、红外窗口及按键等小型塑胶产品时,要确保产品表面的完整。在批量生产中,产品生产良率的高低已经成为各厂家是否具有竞争力的重要标志之一,上述产品在生产过程中需要经过去浇口这一步骤,而去浇口时容易造成产品表面缺陷,因此去浇口这一步骤对产品的生产良率造成较大的影响。
目前去浇口有二种方式,一种是模内切断,另一种是模外切断。模内切断浇口会带来二个问题,一是产品容易粘模,二是在后续的表面处理程序中,作业员取放时需要直接接触产品而容易划伤或污染产品表面,影响外观,更为严重时导致产品报废,降低了产品生产良率。而模外切断浇口有热切及冷切二种方式,因为产品较薄,浇口相对较厚,去浇口时,用冷切容易使产品产生缺口,用热切容易使产品造成毛边,因此无论用冷切还是热切方式去浇口均影响产品的外观,造成产品生产良率较低。
发明内容
鉴于以上内容,有必要提供一种提高生产良率的小型塑胶产品的制作方法。
一种塑胶产品的制作方法,其步骤包括:
注塑成型工件,对浇口进行模内预切,使浇口与该工件的连接强度降低;
取出连接有浇口的工件;
断开该工件的浇口以形成产品。
相较现有技术,所述塑胶产品的制作方法采用模内预切浇口,一方面保留了浇口与工件的连接,取放时可避免接触工件从而减少产品的污染及刮伤,另一方面浇口预切后的厚度可以轻易断开而不留毛边及缺口,这样较大地提高了生产良率。

具体实施方式
本发明小型塑胶产品的制作方法优选实施方式以制作便携式电子装置的镜片为例说明,该种镜片是设置于便携式电子装置上的数码相机镜头之前,用于保护镜头及传输光线。该镜片大致为方形板状,中间具有一个圆形透明部,该镜片厚度约为0.75mm。制作所述镜片的流程包括以下步骤:
请参考图1、图2及图3,注塑成型工件34(镜片原型),该注塑材料为PMMA(Poly methyl methacrylate,聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯,俗称亚克力),所述工件34由注塑成型机注塑成型。所述注塑成型机包括上模10、下模20及浇口预切装置(图未标),该上模10设有主流道11及分流道12,该下模20开设有四个型腔22,所述型腔22的形状与产品镜片形状一致,所述型腔22与分流道12连通,该下模20装设有顶针24以便开模时将工件34顶出,所述浇口预切装置包括若干顶出件26,所述顶出件26对应型腔22与分流道12的连接处。材料注入各型腔22后,在型腔22与分流道12连接处形成浇口32,在材料冷却前,顶出件26顶出,浇口32挤压变薄,通过设定顶出件26顶出的距离可以控制浇口预切后的厚度,本实施方式中浇口预切后的厚度优选为0.1mm。材料冷却后形成四片工件34及料头36,料头36与工件34通过浇口32连接,开模时工件34由顶针22顶出并由机械手(图未示)取出;在模内预切浇口32,使浇口32保留一定厚度而不至断开,此厚度既可保持料头36与工件34的连接,方便后续工序通过拿取料头36而取放工件34,使工件34表面免受划伤及污染,又可降低所述工件34与料头36的连接强度,使浇口32可以轻易断开而令工件34不留毛边或缺口。
机械手通过拿取料头36取出工件34后,将工件34放置在载盘上,该载盘设有与工件34位置相对应的容置槽,该载盘可为塑胶材料或软性材料制成,如棉料,所述载盘可以重复使用,所述工件34放置在载盘上后可直接运输到下一工序的操作车间,也可以存放到储存室。
将装有工件34的载盘送至移印车间,通过人手或机械手拿取料头36将工件34放置在移印治具上,通过移印设备对工件34的一个表面进行移印使工件34为中部透光而周边不透光,移印后可采用紫外线对工件进行烘干,通过拿取料头36将工件34放置在载盘上,以备下一步骤用,在该步骤中,取放时均避免了接触工件34,较大程度上减少了工件34被刮伤及受污染的机会,从而提高了生产良率。
将移印后的工件34送至组装车间,操作员带上防护手套,轻折料头36,使浇口32断开,料头36脱落后工件34便成为所需产品-镜片,然后便可对镜片进行组装。该步骤中采用人手直接将浇口折断,而无需用专门的浇口切断设备来,减少了工序,节省了成本,提高了生产效率。
所述镜片的制作方法采用浇口模内预切,一方面保留了料头36与工件34的连接,移印时易于取放工件34,并可避免接触工件34而刮伤或污染其表面,另一方面浇口32预切后的厚度可以轻易断开而不留毛边及缺口,这样较大地提高了生产良率。该制作方法在运输过程中采用载盘作为承载工具,在运输过程中对工件34进行保护,免去了现有技术因保护工件而设的包装工序,节省了人力和物力。
可以理解,本发明塑胶产品的制作方法可应用于各种小型塑胶产品,如塑胶按键、红外窗口等;材料可以是ABS(Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene,丙烯腈/丁二烯/苯乙烯共聚物)、PC(Polycarbonate,聚碳酸脂)等塑胶材料;表面处理还可以为网印、喷涂、电镀、物理气相沉积处理等。
可以理解,本发明塑胶产品的制作方法可应用于不需经过表面处理的小型塑胶产品,如红外窗口经过注塑成型、模内预切浇口后,可以直接送至组装车间断开浇口,对工件进行组装。
可以理解,对于一些质量较为大的小型塑胶产品,预切浇口时可以相对保留较大的厚度,在断开浇口时可借用设备对浇口进行剪切。

Claims (9)

1.一种塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于该制作方法包括以下步骤:
应用塑成型机注塑成型工件,所述注塑成型机具有浇口预切装置,所述浇口预切装置具有顶出件,所述顶出件与浇口位置相对应;
在材料冷却前,所述预切装置的顶出件顶出,浇口挤压变薄,从而对浇口进行模内预切,使浇口与该工件的连接强度降低;
取出连接有浇口的工件;
断开该工件的浇口以形成产品。
2.如权利要求1所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:所述浇口预切后的厚度为0.1mm。
3.如权利要求1所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:采用手工折断的方式断开浇口。
4.如权利要求1所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:所述浇口预切后的厚度由控制所述顶出件顶出距离决定。
5.如权利要求1所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:于所述取出连接有浇口的工件后,该制作方法还进一步包括运输工件这一步骤,运输过程中采用载盘作为承载工具。
6.如权利要求5所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:所述载盘是由棉料或塑胶材料制成。
7.如权利要求1所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:该制作方法于断开浇口前还进一步包括表面处理这一步骤。
8.如权利要求7所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:所述表面处理为移印或网印。
9.如权利要求7所述的塑胶产品的制作方法,其特征在于:所述表面处理为电镀及物理气相沉积处理。
