技术领域
本发明涉及无粉尘均质颜料制剂,其特点在于:它包含占颜料制剂至少40%重量的一种或多种随角异色效应颜料、0.5-60%重量的醛或酮树脂。
背景技术
在工业方法中,很少使用干粉形式的颜料,因为它产生粉尘,导致对操作场地安全性要求的提高。此外,在许多情况下,将粉末引入塑料、印刷油墨、工业油漆和底漆体系等时,能观察到颜料粉末的结块。颜料在各基质中的均匀分布常常难以达到或根本不可能达到。
代替颜料粉末使用的是无粉尘颜料制剂,这些制剂是:
-将珠光颜料涂以聚合物而成的自由流动粉末,如DE-PS-2603211所述;
-具有低含水量的、着色的自由流动粉末,例如,由DE-OS-4139993所知;
-具有相对较高含水量的、着色的自由流动粉末,由于它们的可流动稠度,常常被称为糊浆;或
-用作印刷油墨前体的干剂,例如,由EP 0 803 552所知。
当它们满足以下条件时,糊浆或由其制备的干剂可作为干粉或湿粉的工业替代物:
-可流动的稠度
-尽可能低的膨胀性
-尽可能高的颜料含量。
制剂/糊浆组分的选择应当满足:配方尽可能好地与相应涂料体系的其它组分相适合,并且在引入后,易于均匀分散。
除了与涂料体系中的其它组分有很好的相容性之外,还要求颜料制剂具有高的稳定性,即它们不能有相分离倾向。对于基于片状颜料的颜料制剂而言,这种要求尤其重要,因为其结构上的原因,在相分离时这种颜料具有结块的倾向,并且难以再搅拌。基于片状基质的颜料会引起操作上的问题,由于这种颜料的粒径和密度,它们易于沉降,可以结块而形成很硬的沉积块,这种沉积块一般难以再搅拌,在清漆、油漆和印刷油墨储存以及加工时,尤其如此。
因而开发了许多方法,以解决在涂料组合物中掺入和加工片状颜料的问题,通过将添加剂加入涂料组合物中,可以使再搅拌变得容易,这些添加剂使得颜料具有可控絮凝作用(kartenhauseffekt)、假塑性和/或触变性能、或空间和/或静电排斥作用即静电稳定化作用。但是,这些添加剂对涂层质量具有负面影响,尤其是对随角异色效应颜料的光泽和涂层的均匀性可能会造成损害。
此外,再分散剂在珠光颜料粉末中的均匀稳定的分散是难以达到的,而且/或者再分散剂在混合过程中丧失一部分活性。
迄今开发用于涂料体系的含有随角异色效应颜料的那些制剂(其中颜料含量>30%重量)常常不足以达到所述的要求,特别是在它们具有团聚和切变增稠(Shearverdickung)倾向的情况下。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提供颜料制剂,它尤其是糊浆和干剂形式,它可很好地用于含溶剂涂料体系,具有高稳定性,易于再分散,且同时具有与涂料体系中的其它组分高度相容的特点。此外,本发明的颜料制剂还应当适于制备成例如丸剂、颗粒剂等形式的干剂。
出人意料地发现,本发明的颜料制剂可以实现这一目的。
因此本发明涉及如下方面:
1.一种无粉尘均质颜料制剂,其特征在于:它包括
-40-98%重量的一种或多种随角异色效应颜料,
-0.5-60%重量的酮树脂和/或醛树脂,
-0.1-10%重量的选自下组的改性剂:球状颗粒、丙烯酸酯树脂、马来酸酯树脂、聚氨酯树脂、硝基纤维素、纤维素衍生物、聚酯、PVC、聚乙二醇、聚乙二醇酯和醚、乳化剂、表面活性剂、聚丙烯酸酯或聚甲基丙烯酸酯或纤维长度为0.1-20μm的纤维状颗粒,以及
-0-40%重量的水和/或有机溶剂或溶剂混合物,
其中所述随角异色效应颜料、所述酮树脂和/或醛树脂、以及所述改性剂的重量百分比之和≤100%。
2.根据第1项的无粉尘均质颜料制剂,其特征在于:随角异色效应颜料是珠光颜料和/或涂有一种或多种金属氧化物的SiO2薄片。

根据其含水量,本发明的制剂为流动性的糊浆或湿性的自由流动粉末。糊浆或粉末两者都非常适合制备干剂,例如颗粒剂、丸剂和团剂,本发明同样提供了由本发明颜料制剂生产的干剂。
所用的随角异色效应颜料是基于片状透明或半透明的基质的颜料,基质包括,例如,层状硅酸盐(Schichtsilikate)如云母、合成云母、SiO2薄片、TiO2薄片、Al2O3薄片、全息颜料、滑石、绢云母、高岭土;或者包括涂有有色或无色金属氧化物的玻璃或其它硅酸盐材料,如单独地或以单层或相互叠加的多层(多层颜料)混合地涂有TiO2、钛的低氧化物、钛的氧氮化物、Fe2O3、Fe3O4、SnO2、Cr2Ox3、ZnO、CuO、NiO或其它金属氧化物。珠光颜料是已知的,例如,公开于德国专利或专利申请14 67 468,19 59 998,20 09 566,22 14 454,22 15 191,22 44 298,23 13 331,25 22 572,31 37 808,31 37 809,31 51 343,31 51 354,31 51 355,32 11 602,32 35 017和P 38 42 330;而且可以从市场上获得,如商标为Iriodin的珠光颜料,Merck KGaA,Darmstadt,BRD。特别优选的颜料制剂含有TiO2/云母、Fe2O3/云母,和/或TiO2/Fe2O3云母颜料。SiO2薄片可以例如按照WO 93/08237(湿法化学涂覆)或DE-OS 196 14 637(CVD方法)进行涂覆。
本发明的颜料制剂可以含有一种或多种随角异色效应颜料,在许多 情况下,可以使用至少两种不同的随角异色效应颜料,以获得特别的色彩效果和光泽效果。优选的颜料制剂包含一种或多种基于云母和/或SiO2薄片的随角异色效应颜料。
本发明的颜料制剂优选含有40-60%重量,尤其是45-60%重量的随角异色效应颜料。特别优选的是随角异色效应颜料含量大于50%重量的颜料制剂。重量百分比总是基于湿的、即未干燥的颜料制剂。在干燥的状态下,颜料制剂可含有高达98%的颜料。
作为必需组分,本发明颜料制剂包括含量为0.5-60%重量的酮和/或醛树脂,优选5-40%重量,特别优选10-30%重量。任何本领域技术人员已知的酮或醛树脂均可以使用,尤其是BASF出售的商品名为Laropal K80和Laropal A81或A101的酮和醛树脂或Fa.Huels的合成树脂AP、SK。
适当的酮树脂可以在碱催化下通过酮的自缩合而获得,酮例如是环己酮或甲基环己酮;或者通过酮,例如丙酮、丁酮、苯乙酮、环己酮或甲基环己酮与甲醛的共缩合而获得,所得的酮树脂是不能水解的和浅色中性树脂,其软化温度范围一般是80-130℃。合适的醛树脂是用强碱处理醛,特别是乙醛所获得的缩聚产物。
根据本发明,优选使用那些具有低软化点或熔点的树脂,因为,在这种情况下,制剂的生产可以通过熔融方法来进行。但另一方面,软化点又不能低于室温,因为那样的话,例如颗粒剂形式的干剂会出现粘连和流动性不足。
此外,本发明的颜料制剂包含0-10重量%、优选0.05-5重量%,尤其0.01-3重量%的改性剂是有利的。改性剂尤其用于改善再分散。优选的改性剂是球状颗粒、丙烯酸酯树脂、马来酸酯树脂、聚氨酯树脂、硝基纤维素和所有已知的纤维素衍生物、聚酯、PVC、聚乙二醇、聚乙二醇酯和醚、乳化剂、表面活性剂、聚丙烯酸酯或聚甲基丙烯酸酯或纤维长度为0.1-20μm的纤维状颗粒,含量为基于颜料的0.1-10%重量,优选0.05-5%重量,特别优选0.01-3%重量。
加入大颗粒形式的再分散助剂,例如纤维或球状颗粒,防止了按本 发明方法进行处理的随角异色效应颜料在可注意到程度上的彼此叠加(这是空间排斥作用的结果)和因此而产生了强粘合。其结果是:
1.本发明的制剂更加稳定;和
2.由于通过颜料制剂,将再分散助剂引入了清漆或油漆体系,使得在某些情况下在清漆或油漆体系中的随角异色效应颜料的沉降更缓慢得多。
但是在所有情况下,沉积物的硬度都减小了,对沉积物进行再搅拌时,不会产生问题。
所有本领域技术人员已知的、纤维长度为0.1-20μm的有机或无机纤维均可以使用。特别适合的颗粒尤其是所有合成纤维,例如由聚乙烯、聚丙烯酸酯、聚丙烯、聚酰胺制成的合成纤维和纤维素纤维;无机纤维,优选硅化合物、玻璃纤维,以及特别是由改性的异氰酸酯与一胺和二胺得到的缩合产物。
这些缩合产物是二脲衍生物和具有尿烷基团的氨基脲,是已知的触变剂,并且与粘结剂一起加入到油漆和清漆中,以改善流动性能和刷涂性。
本领域技术人员已知的所有二脲衍生物和尿烷化合物均可以用作再分散助剂,如以下文献所述:EP 0 198 519,DE 18 05 693.4和有机涂料:科学与技术(Organic Coatings:Science and Technology),A.Heenriga,P.J.G.von Hemsbergen,pp.201-222,New York 1983。
特别适合的球状材料是玻璃,蜡,以下聚合物制成的中空珠:乙烯基树脂、尼龙、硅酮、环氧树脂、烯烃树脂或聚苯乙烯,和无机物,例如TiO2、SiO2或ZrO2,优选使用粒径为0.05-150μm的中空珠或实心珠。在本发明颜料制剂中特别优选使用空心玻璃、蜡或聚合物珠。
基于SiO2的、粒径为3-10μm球状颗粒是已知的,例如作为例如高效液相色谱材料,以及作为例如商品LiChrospher,生产商为MerckKGaA,Darmstadt BRD。这类材料优选以单分散形式使用,即其具有尽可能相同的粒径。基于SiO2、TiO2和ZrO2的这类单分散球状颗粒是已知的,例如,单分散的SiO2可以按照DE 36 16 133制备。空心玻 璃珠,例如可以以商品Q-CEL,生产商为PQ Corporation,USA;或者3M公司,Frankfurt,BRD生产的Scotchlite购得。
此外,本发明的颜料制剂还可以包括表面活性物质,例如烷基硅烷(该硅烷还可以含有其它官能团),或者饱和或不饱和的脂肪酸,或氟代表面活性剂。特别优选使用式(CnH2n+1)Si(OCmH2m+1)3的硅烷化合物作为表面活性物质,其中n是1-30及m是1-10。适当的硅烷化合物例如是正-己基癸基三乙氧基甲硅烷和正-辛基癸基三乙氧基甲硅烷(分别为Si 116和Si 118,Degussa AG,Frankfurt,BRD),以及相应的氟代烷基硅烷。
可采用的其它表面活性物质是饱和或不饱和的脂肪酸,例如己酸、辛酸、癸酸、月桂酸(十二烷酸)、豆蔻酸(十四烷酸)、棕榈酸(十六烷酸)、硬脂酸、油酸和亚油酸,以及脂肪酸的混合物。
除了硅烷,颜料制剂优选进一步含有一种表面活性剂或脂肪酸,表面活性剂也可以是硅烷、脂肪酸和/或表面活性剂的混合物。颜料制剂可以含有基于颜料0.1-5%重量,优选0.2-3%重量,特别优选0.5-2%重量的表面活性物质。
本发明的颜料制剂还可以包含0-40%重量,优选5-35%重量,特别优选10-30%重量的有机溶剂或溶剂混合物。
本发明颜料制剂中的溶剂组分必须是与酮树脂和醛树脂适当匹配的,制备时可以使用所有的有机溶剂以及水或可与水混溶的有机溶剂,适当的溶剂例如是芳族溶剂如甲苯,汽油,矿物油,烃类,酯,长链胺,植物油,一羟基脂肪醇,如具有2-4个碳原子的那些,其例子是乙醇、丁醇或异丙醇,或酮,如丙酮或甲乙酮,或二醇醚,如丙二醇单甲醚、丙二醇单乙醚,或二醇,如乙二醇、丙二醇,聚醚二醇,或具有2-6碳原子的脂族三醇和四醇,如三羟甲基乙烷、三羟甲基丙烷、甘油、1,2,4-丁三醇、1,2,6-己三醇和季戊四醇,以及所有其它类化合物的其它溶剂,和/或上述溶剂的混合物。优选使用在Karsten,Lackrohstofftabellen,第9版,1992中所列的那些溶剂。
本发明的颜料制剂的生产很简单,将酮树脂和/或醛树脂、如果需 要的话有机溶剂或溶剂混合物、再分散助剂,以及如果需要的话,还有其它添加剂,同时或者依次加入到随角异色效应颜料或随角异色效应颜料的混合物中,并在混合器中(优选在自动分散器中)将该混合物进行温和的均化。
优选在开始时加入颜料,并首先与含有酮树脂和/或醛树脂和需要的话已含有再分散剂的溶剂一起搅拌,进行制浆;随后,如果需要的话,进一步加入由溶剂、添加剂和再分散助剂组成的溶液。如果需要,第一干燥步骤可以在此时进行,其干燥温度可以在80-150℃之间。
在制备过程中和制备之后,可以将其它常用的添加剂加入到本发明的颜料制剂中,例如,pH调节剂、消泡剂、润湿剂、防沉降剂、流平剂、催干剂和触变剂。这些都是涂料工业中常用的助剂,它们在本发明颜料制剂中的含量可以是0-10%重量。
还可以特别加入那些加速或有助于颜料颗粒分裂和溶解的物质,例如,大的球状颗粒如中空球或半球。
本发明所得到的颜料制剂是均匀的粉末或易于流动的糊浆,具有较高含量的随角异色效应颜料。由于特别高的酮/醛树脂相容性,本发明的颜料制剂与常规的商用体系同样是良好相容的。该制剂的其它特点是无粉尘、易分散性和易于再分散性能、高度的储存稳定性和良好的操作性能,因而它显著优于常规的颜料制剂。
可流动颜料制剂非常适合于填充入管中和用于挤压机,为了制成干剂,将本发明的颜料制剂挤压或通过专业人员已知的其它方法,如压片、造团、造球、流化床造粒、粒化、喷雾粒化或挤压,而压缩成致密颗粒形式,然后需要的话可以进行干燥,干燥过程一般在20-150℃温度进行,也可以在减压条件下进行。最后,如果需要,将干剂进行分级或粉碎。按照这种方式获得的颗粒,同样是无粉尘的,具有的粒径范围是0.1-150mm,优选0.1-20mm,特别优选0.1-2mm。干剂对储存和运输的限制更少,因此更无问题可言。干剂的另一个优点是它们极少或不携带液体,因而增加了稳定性。
这些干剂可以掺入到本领域技术人员已知的所有粘合剂中,用于清 漆、油漆和印刷油墨,尤其是溶剂基的体系。
考虑到酮树脂和醛树脂的良好相容性,适当的粘合剂树脂是常常添加至油漆和清漆中的那些,例如Karsten,Lackrohstofftabellen,第9版,1992所列。适当的粘合剂是所有常用在印刷油墨中的粘合剂或粘合剂混合物,例如以下列物质为基础的粘合剂:纤维素、聚丙烯酸酯树脂、聚甲基丙烯酸酯树脂、醇酸树脂、聚酯树脂、聚酚树脂(Polyphenol Harz)、脲树脂、蜜胺树脂、多萜树脂、聚乙烯树脂、聚氯乙烯树脂、聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮树脂、聚苯乙烯、聚烯烃、苯并呋喃-茚、烃类树脂、酮树脂、醛树脂、芳族醛树脂、氨基甲酸树脂、磺酰胺树脂、环氧树脂、聚氨酯和/或天然油,或上述物质的衍生物。已经发现,当使用纤维素和/或纤维素化合物作为粘合剂时,本发明的随角异色效应颜料制剂表现出特别优良的再分散性能。
再分散助剂的整合作用确保,即使在成品清漆和油漆体系中,本发明的颜料制剂也是易于搅拌的,而不需要最终配制者进行任何改进。
在掺合到粘合剂(例如印刷油墨)的情况下,即使颜料制剂存在少量的球状颗粒,对干剂松团作用的改良也是显著的。例如,即便使用球状颗粒在干剂中的含量为0.5%重量的颗粒,其溶解速度也会显著增加,所得的印刷油墨稳定得更快(粘度/色调)。
本发明的糊浆或干剂形式的制剂可以用于不同的用途,优选应用于印刷领域,尤其是胶版印刷和凹版印刷、苯胺印刷、喷漆和丝漆印刷的涂料体系、清漆和油漆中。特别优选该制剂用作涂料组合物前体,所述涂料组合物涂于任意的基材上,例如,金属如铁、钢、铝、铜、青铜、黄铜和金属箔,和玻璃、陶瓷、混凝土的金属覆盖表面,以及木料如家具,粘土,织物,纸张,包装材料如塑料容器,薄膜,或卡片;或者用于装饰和/保护目的的其它材料。
因此,本发明还提供了颜料制剂在配剂如油漆、清漆、印刷油墨和塑料中的用途。
具体实施方式
以下实施例是为了对本发明予以更详细的说明,而不是对它的限定。
实施例
实施例1 用于含溶剂凹版和苯胺印刷油墨的颜料颗粒
将1000g Iriodin123(5-25μm粒径的TiO2云母颜料,Merck KGaA,BRD)置于Eirich公司的RO2型混合造粒机中,向其中加入含有250gLaropal A81(BRD,BASF公司的醛树脂)和188g乙醇的溶液,将所有组分充分混合,为了获得粗粒径,往颜料糊浆中再加入200g乙醇。最后,所得粒径为1-10mm的颗粒在80℃于真空干燥器进行干燥。
实施例2 用于含溶剂凹版和苯胺印刷油墨的颜料颗粒
实施例3
首先在Eirich公司的、具有加热套的Evactherm混合造粒机中,将30kg Iriodin123、7.5kg Laropal A81(BASF)于120℃下混合均匀,一旦达到均匀分布,即在适当设置下进行造粒。将试验材料冷却并卸出,颗粒大小为0.1-2mm,可以快速分散到测试的含溶剂粘合剂中,其分散速度和实施例2的颗粒相当。
实施例4
按照实施例3的类似方法,但另外还加入了300g空心玻璃珠(3M 公司),所得的颗粒能够非常快速地分散。
实施例5
首先在Eirich公司的、具有加热套的Evactherm混合造粒机中,将300kg Iriodin123与1.8kg乙酸溶液(pH=3)混合,然后再和600g正-辛基三甲氧基甲硅烷(Degussa公司生产)溶于1800g乙醇所形成的溶液相混合,之后所有组分于真空下混合并干燥。随后与7.5kgLaropal A81混合,并按照实施例3所述,将混合物进行造粒。颗粒大小为0.1-3mm,能够非常快速地分散到含溶剂粘合剂中。
实施例6
首先在Eirich公司的、具有加热套的Evactherm混合造粒机中,将300kg Iriodin123、7.5kg合成树脂AP(Fa.Huels的酮树脂)于120℃下混合均匀,一旦达到均匀分布,即在适当设置进行造粒。将试验材料冷却并卸出,颗粒大小为0.1-2mm,可以快速分散到测试的含溶剂粘合剂中,其分散速度和实施例2的颗粒相当。
实施例7
按照实施例6的类似方法,但另外还加入了500g Setal SS50(二脲衍生物的纤维,Fa.Akzo),所得的颗粒能够非常快速地分散;并且经过两周的静置试验,沉积的珠光颜料仍然非常易于再搅拌。
Claims (14)
1.一种由无粉尘均质颜料制剂制备的颗粒剂,其特征在于,该颜料制剂包括
-40-98%重量的一种或多种随角异色效应颜料,
-0.5-60%重量的酮树脂和/或醛树脂,所述酮树脂具有80-130℃的软化温度范围,
-0.1-10%重量的选自下组的改性剂:由玻璃、蜡、乙烯基树脂、尼龙、硅酮、环氧树脂、烯烃树脂、聚苯乙烯、TiO2、SiO2或ZrO2制成的球状颗粒、丙烯酸酯树脂、马来酸酯树脂、聚氨酯树脂、硝基纤维素、聚酯、PVC、乳化剂、表面活性剂、聚丙烯酸酯或聚甲基丙烯酸酯或纤维长度为0.1-20μm的纤维状颗粒,其中所述表面活性剂是任选含有其它官能团的烷基硅烷、饱和或不饱和的脂肪酸或氟代表面活性剂,以及
-0-40%重量的水和/或有机溶剂或溶剂混合物,
其中所述随角异色效应颜料、所述酮树脂和/或醛树脂、以及所述改性剂的重量百分比之和≤100%,并且所述颗粒剂的粒径范围是0.1-20mm。
2.根据权利要求1的颗粒剂,其特征在于,所述乳化剂选自聚乙二醇和聚乙二醇酯和醚。
3.根据权利要求1的颗粒剂,其特征在于,随角异色效应颜料是珠光颜料和/或涂有一种或多种金属氧化物的SiO2薄片。
4.根据权利要求3的颗粒剂,其特征在于,珠光颜料是TiO2/云母颜料或Fe2O3/云母颜料。
5.根据权利要求3的颗粒剂,其特征在于,SiO2薄片涂有TiO2和/或Fe2O3。
6.根据权利要求1-5任一项的颗粒剂,其特征在于,酮树脂为环己酮树脂。
7.根据权利要求1-5任一项的颗粒剂,其特征在于,所述颜料制剂非必需地含有作为附加组分的消泡剂、表面活性物质、润湿剂、防沉降剂、流平剂、催干剂和/或触变剂。
8.根据权利要求1-5任一项的颗粒剂,其特征在于,所述颜料制剂包括40-60%重量的一种或多种随角异色效应颜料。
9.根据权利要求1-5任一项的颗粒剂,其特征在于,所述颜料制剂包括5-40%重量的酮树脂和/或醛树脂。
10.根据权利要求1-5任一项的颗粒剂,其特征在于,颗粒剂的成形是通过压片、造团、造球、粒化或挤压来进行的,并且如果需要,将制剂脱除溶剂。
11.根据权利要求10的颗粒剂,其特征在于,所述粒化为流化床造粒或喷雾粒化。
12.根据权利要求1-11任一项的颗粒剂在配剂中的用途,其中所述配剂为油漆、印刷油墨和塑料。
13.根据权利要求12的用途,其特征在于,所述印刷油墨是胶版印刷、苯胺印刷和凹版印刷油墨。
14.根据权利要求1-11任一项的颗粒剂在配剂中的用途,其中所述配剂为清漆。
