Abstract

The bath support consists of a base (1) with uprights and an inverted U-shaped hollow frame (6) which can be raised or lowered relative to the base by a central hydraulic power cylinder (5). The frame has two bars (8,8') projecting horizontally from it, and two arms (13,13') which are situated on top of the bars and can be moved by hydraulic cylinders (11). During operation the two arms are fitted beneath the lateral edges of the bath, which can then be raised and lowered using the central hydraulic cylinder.

Les faces arrières des branches du cadre 6 sont chacune munies d'une fente 9, 9' afin que le cadre puisse se déplacer verticalement. La base de chaque branche du cadre 6 comporte encore un support de fixation 10, 10' relié à la partie femelle d'un vérin hydraulique 11, 11'. La partie mâle de ces vérins 11, 11' est connectée à une pièce intermédiaire triangulaire 12, 12' elle même reliée à deux bras de support 13, 13' qui sont parallèles aux deux barres 8, 8'. Ces deux bras de support 13, 13' sont reliés par un axe 14. Ceci permet de mettre en place sur ces bras de support 13, 13' une baignoire de dimensions standards. La baignoire est ensuite solidarisée des bras de support par tout moyen connu. Le fonctionnement du dispositif est le suivant. La fig. 2 illustre la baignoire en position basse respectivement haute. En actionnant le vérin central 5, on provoque un déplacement vertical du cadre 6 ainsi que du support de la baignoire d'une position basse dans laquelle il est aisé de prendre place dans la baignoire (illustrée en pointillé), vers une position haute qui permet au personnel soignant de travailler dans une position confortable.
