Die Erfindung betrifft eine Implantationshilfe für die Resektionsebene eines Röhrenknochens zum intraoperativen Fixieren und Zentrieren einer mit Hilfe eines Knochenzementbettes zu verankernden kragenfreien Gelenkendoprothese. In der Praxis hat sich nun gezeigt, dass die bekannte Abdeckscheibe, die vom Prothesenschaft her auf die Prothese aufgeschoben und in der Resektionsebene in den Knochen lediglich eingeklemmt wird; einem Herausquellen des Knochenzements nicht in ausreichendem Masse Widerstand zu leisten vermag. Weiterhin muss die bekannte Scheibe, die die Prothese vollständig umschliesst, nach dem Aushärten des Knochenzementes aufgeschnitten und in Fragmenten entfernt werden, was die Arbeit des Operateurs ebenso erschwert, wie die Tatsache, dass die Abdeckscheibe nur zusammen mit der Prothese in den Knochen eingesetzt und fixiert gehalten werden kann. Sofern schliesslich enge Toleranzen für die Lage der Abdeckscheibe relativ zum Prothesenschaft - beispielsweise zum Ansatz des Prothesenhalses - gefordert werden, ist es notwendig jeder Grösse einer Prothesenbaureihe eine separate Scheibe zuzuordnen, wodurch eine Vielzahl Scheiben mit unterschiedlich grossen Öffnungen für den Schaft bereitgehalten werden müssen.
