Description

The invention relates to a lid with child safety for box-like or drum-like containers with an inner edge reinforcement, in particular with a flanged edge, the lid having an outer edge for at least partially projecting beyond the edge reinforcement.

Lids are known in which, as a child safety device, additional elements are installed which are to be actuated when opening, but which make the lid complicated in construction, so that its production is complex.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a cover with child safety of the type mentioned, which should be simple in construction and can be manufactured in one piece.

According to the invention the object is achieved in that the cover has the specific features of claim 1. A lid designed in this way is “childproof”, that is, cannot be opened by a small child because the distance between the actuating elements is greater than the span of a child's hand.

Advantageous embodiments of the cover according to the invention can be designed with the measures of claims 2 to 12.

The latches can be arranged on the same side edge of a square cover or in the region of half the circumference of a round cover, the center distance of their confirmation elements being greater than the span of a child's hand. Are the bars z. B. arranged in the area of half the circumference of a round lid, e.g. the distance between the edges of their actuating elements facing away from each other, twice the length of the child's spread hand and less than half the circumference of the lid. The span of the child's hand should be understood to mean a circumferential length of 8 to 10 cm.

According to the preferred embodiment, the bolt is connected to the edge part lying above the edge reinforcement and at one end of peripheral parts adjoining in the circumferential direction and completely separated from other cover parts by an incision, so that it is essentially radially movable.

Furthermore, at least one hook element can also be designed as a bolt.

According to another embodiment, the latch is connected to the lid surface, but is separated from the lid edge by an incision which is angled at the latch ends in a U-shape to the center of the lid, so that the latch can be moved essentially to the center of the container.

The angled parts of the incision suitably correspond approximately to the height of the transom. Furthermore, an additional hook element can be arranged between the bars, the part behind the edge reinforcement extending up to the bars, while the adjoining part near the lid is at a distance from both bars and the rear part is elastically bendable to the middle of the lid.

Furthermore, it is proposed that the engaging parts of the latch and / or hook element arrangement be designed with protrusions reduced towards the ends.

According to a further proposal, the bolt has a reinforcement extending beyond its fastening point.

takes hold. The engaging part extends over a certain area and is reduced at its ends 7, so that it projects less and less here. Otherwise, the hook element 6 forms part of the inner edge 3.

Opposite the hook element 6, at a mutual distance, hook-shaped bolts 8 are resiliently arranged, which consist of a part of the outer lid edge 2, from which the edge reinforcement 4 of the container 5 is bent behind elements 9 which are designed in a similar manner to the ends 7 of the hook element 6. The bolts 8 are separated from the outer edge 2 by incisions 10 and from the cover surface by incisions 11. They also have a reinforcement 12 which tapers in the direction from the incision 10 to the transition point to the outer lid edge 2. The inner edge 3 is missing in this area.

If the bars 8 are pressed radially by pressure on their outer surface 8a forming part of the lid edge 2, the elements 9 detach from the edge reinforcement 4 and the lid can be raised in this area and then lifted off completely. The smaller distance A, seen around the outer lid circumference, between the mutually facing ends 8b of the bars 8 corresponds to 8 to 10 cm, i.e. at least the span of a child's hand, so that the center distance B of the bars 8 is greater than the span of the child's hand. However, even if both hands are used, the child does not reach over half the circumference of the container and at the same time operate the latches, i.e. when actuating the container cannot hold, the construction represents an effective child safety device, in particular because the force required for opening can be adjusted by appropriately designing the reinforcements 12.

As shown in FIG. 3, there can also be two hook elements 6a. Furthermore, there is the possibility of designing at least one of the hook elements 6a analogously to the bolts 8, so that three or four bolts 8 are then present and can be actuated.

3 has two hook elements 6a which are formed corresponding to the ends 7 of the hook element 6 shown in FIG. 1. The resiliently arranged hook-shaped latches 8 are here connected to the cover surface, however, are separated from laterally adjoining cover parts by incisions 13. The bolts 8 are at the same distance from one another as in the previously described embodiment according to FIG. 1. The distance between the opposite edges of the bolts 8 or their actuating elements, in each case increased by the length D, is less than half the circumference of the cover. The element 9 engaging behind the edge reinforcement 4 forms a continuation of the inner edge 3 along the line C, while the bolt 8 is separated from the cover parts in the region of the outer cover edge 2 by an incision 14 which forms the central part of a U-shaped incision, from which the incisions 13 are angled. This bolt also has a reinforcement 12 which extends beyond the incisions 13. A further additional hook element 6 can be arranged between the bars 8, which is also separated from the bars 8 in the lid area lying above the edge reinforcement 4 by the incisions 13, which are expanded into a slot 15 in the adjoining lower area. Furthermore, the lid has an outer edge strip 16 in this area, which forms an engagement surface when the lid is opened.

To open the lid, the bolts 8 are pressed down towards the container center and the lid is pivoted up and removed with the aid of the bar 16. The hook element 6 lying between them must be able to deflect inwards. Since the incisions 13 lie parallel to the cover radius lying in the plane of symmetry of the bolt 8, the depth to which the bolt 8 can be pressed in is determined by the width of the incisions 13. In order to prevent jamming with the hook element 6 lying between the bolts, the incision 13 must be widened to the slot 15 in its lower region.

The lid can only be raised if the hook element 6 lying between the bars 8 can be elastically bent and its necessary radial movement is not hindered by the bars. That is e.g. B. not in the situation shown in Figure 4. Only after the bolts 8 have been pressed in further is the hook element 6 released and can move radially inwards. To open the lid, not only is it necessary to press down both bolts 8 with a predetermined force, but they have to be pressed down to a certain depth before the lid can be raised, which also requires a certain force.

The lid is closed in the same way as when opening, but in the reverse order. In some embodiments, e.g. B. in the presence of four bolts 8, the lid can be closed by simply pressing.
