Abstract

The watch case comprises a calibre (1) provided with a glass (2) and a back (3). It furthermore includes a dome (6) of smaller size than the calibre (1), which is intended to receive and conceal a timepiece movement. The dome (6) is set on the back (3) of the case, and arranged so as to leave visible through the glass (1) not only the upper surface (7) of the dome, but also the back of the case over at least a portion of the perimeter of the dome, as well as the inside surface of the calibre or the outside lateral surface of the dome. Thus, new surfaces and new volumes are freed for producing decorations, or particular aesthetic effects, these surfaces and volumes furthermore being protected by the watch case. <IMAGE>
