Abstract

The seal comprises two rings made from an elastic material (9a, 9b) carried by a pair of elements (3, 5) in relative rotation. These rings stress a pair of sliding abutment rings (8a, 8b) to bear axially against each other. In order to facilitate and ensure correct mounting, the elements of the seal interact according to complementary shapes preventing a relative axial displacement between them. The rings made from an elastic material (9a, 9b) comprise external annular projections interacting with complementary annular depressions (10') provided respectively on the elements (3, 5). They also comprise internal annular projections (9a', 9b') interacting with complementary annular depressions (10) provided on the sliding abutment rings (8a, 8b) respectively. The seal is used in a piece of rotary equipment in a cultivating device. <IMAGE>
