Abstract
In switching installations of an industrial concern, for example in which motors or other electrical operating installation parts are switched on and off by means of multi-function relays via electromechanical switches, it is desirable that those relays which have become defective or otherwise unusable can be made serviceable again or replaced quickly and without long interruptions in operation. A simple method is expedient, in the case of which only wire connections between closely adjacent terminal connections of a fixed-position plug and connection device need to be made by hand. This time-saving method for selective setting of a desired operating characteristic or operating mode of a relay is particularly expedient in the case of repairs or operating mode changeovers which are linked to the relay in operation, since they can be carried out without any major interruptions in operation.
