Abstract

The terminal is formed by adhesive bonding of a conductive member (12) on a conductive wall (10) of the container of an electrochemical device, with the insertion of an insulating washer (18), layers (20, 22) of adhesive sealing material providing for the interaction of the various members. The material of the adhesive is a fatty acid polyamide which is not wetted by an alkaline electrolyte. This terminal is suitable in particular for flat alkaline batteries. It efficiently counteracts electrolyte leakage. <IMAGE>
