Abstract

Adjustable strap fastener for corsetry e.g. brassieres etc, serves both to adjust strap length and securely link strap ends. The strap ends each embody a terminal strap loop, one fixed and one dimensionally adjustable (10), which meet at closure on a union buckle. The size of the adjustable loop is varied by means of a terminal open ring sliding on the main strap, and locking in the loop at the requisite length is contrived by an auto-adhesion of mating strap faces (14) aft of the open ring. The open ring is carried on a base plate (11) which is stitched into the strap end: pref. straps can be elastic or otherwise woven or knitted textile fabric, of doubly stitched reinforced fabric; and the open ring is of synthetic material.
