Abstract
The solar heating panel used for obtaining a supply of hot water, has a casing (1) made from insulating material, with a copper plate (2) supporting a serpentine coil (3) for the water, and made from e.g. copper, and above this, a plate (4) onto which is moulded a pattern of lenses (5) to concentrate the rays of the sun on the coil, the pattern matching the shape of the coil. Beneath the copper plate n2) on a further insulation layer (7) is a mirror (6) which reflects upwards the heat radiated from the underside of the copper plate. The lenses may be round, square, rectangular or polygonal in plan. The hot water outlet may have a preset thermostatic control valve, and the panel may be automatically directed in the direction of the sun.
