Description

  Installation for parking motor vehicles
The main patent relates to an installation for parking motor vehicles consisting of a cylindrical building having radial parking spaces and a set of movement of vehicles along and around a vertical axis, this set being housed in a central well of said building, said boxes being arranged along a helical ramp inclined transversely and said assembly comprising a tower mounted to rotate and a platform provided with elevation means.

The object of the present invention is such an installation, characterized in that the boxes are inclined outwardly and that the platform and the boxes are equipped with carriages provided with drive means cooperating with said vehicles.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the present invention.

Fig. 1 is a schematic overview.

   Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 1.

Fig. 3 is a schematic vertical section.

Fig. 4 is a partial vertical section.

Fig. 5 is a schematic sectional view.

Fig. 6 is a schematic vertical view.

Fig. 7 schematically represents the parking of a vehicle in a box.

Fig. 8 schematically represents the recovery of a vehicle in a box.

The installation shown in fig. 1, 2 and 3 comprises a cylindrical building 1, containing a helical ramp 2 inclined from the inside to the outside. This ramp, divided into parking spaces 3, surrounds a circular shaft 4 containing a rotating tower 5 comprising a base 6 mounted on wheels 7 running on a circular track. The tower is topped by a building 8 located substantially at ground level.

A transport platform 9 receives the vehicles and moves them vertically inside the tower.

Fig. 4 schematically shows the platform 9 opposite the box 10. The platform 9 is equipped with a carriage 11 which can move between the positions 11a and 11b; box 10 is equipped with a carriage 12 of the same type, which can descend to position 12b. These carriages cooperate with the wheels of the vehicle to be parked and are integral with drive means; they are also provided with a folding spatula such as 11 '. The main advantage of trolleys is that they neutralize the effect of any misalignment of the vehicle's wheels.

Fig. 5 schematically shows the positions occupied by the platform 9 when entering a vehicles and when exiting b from the vehicle.

Fig. 6 schematically indicates the path of a vehicle between the entrance and the box where it must be parked.

In fig. 7, a vehicle V is brought onto the platform 9 in front of the box 10 which it must occupy. The carriage 11 moves in the direction of this box driving the vehicle, the spatula 11 'then retracts, allowing the vehicle to roll until it is stopped by the carriage 12 which, descending in turn, stops the vehicle in its garage position.

The operation of recovering a vehicle from a box is shown schematically in FIG. 8. When the platform 9 is in front of the box 10 occupied by the vehicle that is to be recovered, the carriage 12 forces the vehicle to go back up until its rear wheels are on said platform. The spatula of the carriage 11 then rises, allowing said carriage to drive the rear wheels of the vehicle until it occupies a central position on said platform. The vehicle can then be brought back up to the exit of the building.

The operation of the installation can be as follows: the user places his vehicle at the entrance to the installation, he chooses a box which is indicated as being free and can activate an automatic device.

The vehicle whose engine has been stopped beforehand, and whose wheels are free to turn, is first moved on the platform 9 which drives it vertically to the level of the free space and places it in front of that -this. The trolley 11 then starts up and the vehicle is placed, as described, in the free box.

For the collection of the vehicle, the user can use a token or a key received during the deposit of the vehicle and an automatic toll system can allow him to recover his car according to the means described.
