Description
Double-sided clothes peg The invention relates to a double-sided clothes peg, the legs of which are held together by a screw tension spring and in which the respective pivot axis is formed by grooves at the same distance from the helical spring and projections engaging in them. The clothes peg according to the invention is characterized in that projections and grooves are curved in their longitudinal direction.
There are already double-sided clothespins be known, in which in the parting plane of the clamp legs on the one hand projections and on the other hand grooves are provided, which clip into each other in the clamped state of the clothes and form the axis of rotation of the opening movement of the two legs when opening the clip. In the known Ausfüh ments, however, these projections and grooves run in a straight line, whereby a transverse rotation of the two clamp legs occurs with the necessary play between tongue and groove, since especially when pressing the two clamp legs between the thumb and forefinger of one hand, involuntarily a rotation of the two clamp legs is exerted on one another.
However, this twisting of the two chamber legs is very annoying when using the same tables for fastening laundry or the like.
In the formation of the bracket according to the invention, this rotation is excluded, since the curved engagement between the projection and groove excludes such rotation, which is why the bracket always enforces the correct seat of both legs.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows a plan view of the clamp and FIG. 11 shows a side view of the same. The two clamp legs 1 are pressed against one another in a manner known per se by the spring 2 and alternately engage one another through projections 3 and grooves 4.
In order to avoid rotation of the two legs 1 against each other, the grooves 4 and 3 before jumps are curved in their longitudinal direction according to curves ge, in the illustrated embodiment, these curves are concave with respect to the center of rotation outwardly. However, it would also be possible to make these curves convex outwards, provided that only in this case the radius of curvature is not dimensioned to be identical to the distance between the grooves or projections from the center of rotation of the helical spring 2.
The essential thing is that by engaging the projections 3 in the grooves 4 when the two legs are rotated against each other, a clamping between the projection and the groove occurs, which opposes the rotation of the two legs against each other, that is, interlocking projections and Grooves act as a side slip lock.
