Description

The present invention relates to a cup diamond wheel comprising a support on which are fixed at least two rings consisting of a diamond concretion, the working surfaces of the two rings intended to be in contact with the material to to be grinded during grinding, being located in the same plane.

Stones of this kind are already known. These wheels include a plate serving as a support for two diamond concretion rings with concentric working surfaces.

When these wheels are used on a portable grinder to grind a block of stony material and in particular to chip the edges of this block, the known wheels have the drawback of having a tendency to to sinking into the block during their rotation. This tendency is also manifested when the wheel used on a portable grinder for the same job has only one ring, the working surface of which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the wheel.

The present invention makes it possible to remedy to this drawback.

A This effect, in a grinding wheel according to the invention, the two diamond-forming rings are eccentric. The appended drawing represents schematically and by by way of example, an embodiment of the grinding wheel according to the invention.

The figure is an axial section of an embodiment of a grinding wheel according to the invention.

The grinding wheel comprises a support 1 consisting on the one hand of a circular plate 2 having a central bore for its fixing on a molding machine and on the other hand of a circular crown 3 disposed against a face 4 of the plate 2 and resting against at least one rim 5 that this face has 4. The crown 3 is fixed to the intermediate plate 2 evenly screws such as 6.

A the marginal part of face 4 of plate 2 is fixed, in any way, a continuous or segmented circular ring 7 made up of a diamond con cretion which consists of a homogeneous set of diamond grains distributed in a binder. The working surface 8 of this ring which is the one intended to be -in contact with the material to to be grinded during grinding, is located in a map.

The circular crown 3 ! Comprises another ring 9 with diamond concretion whose working surface 10 is located in the plane of the working 8 surface of the 7. ring

In the illustrated embodiment, the rings 7 and 9 are eccentric. A to this end, the ring 3 </ B> is mounted eccentrically on the plate 2. The rim 5 and the circumference of drilling of the tapped holes in front of the screws 6 are eccentric relative to to the axis of rotation of the plate 2.

It is possible that one and / or the other of the rings 7 and 9 to diamond concretion are formed of a single layer made up of distributed diamond grains. in a binder and fixed to the support 1, for example, by electrolytic deposition.
