Description

Dispositif d'emballage.

Packaging device. The object of the present invention is. a self-closing packaging device made from a sheet of cardboard or similar material provided with fold lines for forming a parallelepiped box or of similar shape.

These measures. is characterized in that an endless cord, that is to say the two ends of which are connected to one another, is secured in perforations made in said sheet, so as to pass alternately. from one of the faces of the sheet to the opposite face following a path which substantially runs along the periphery of the sheet, at a certain distance from its edges, all in the same manner as said. cord serves both as a maneuvering tool for carrying out the folding and, after shaping of the packaging device, as a suspension means for the transport of the latter.

Two embodiments of the packaging device according to the invention are. shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing, in which the packaging device is. a box.

Fig. 1 is a plan view of the sheet from which the box is formed, according to the first embodiment.

The fi, - ,. 2 is a perspective view showing the box being formed.

Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the same completed box. Fig. 4 shows a, -Lie in plan of the second embodiment of the box, the latter being deployed.

Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the box of FIG. 4, during its folding.

Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the finished box. The packaging device shown in fi-. 1 is cut from a sheet 1 of cardboard or similar material, following a polygonal turn, as indicated in the drawing; fold lines are marked in this sheet, and eyelets 4 are perforated on either side of some of these fold lines; the sheet is provided with a cord 2, the two ends of which are connected at 3 by a knot. This cord, engaged in the eyelets 4, passes alternately on one side and on the opposite side of the sheet 1.

These millets 4 are made in the faces intended to be brought into a vertical position and in corner bellows 5.

Fig. 2 shows how, after having dropped the product or object to be packaged in the center of the sheet, if one enters. at 6 the net cord 2 and that a traction is exerted on it, the traction exerted causes the formation of folds which initiate the shaping of the box; the weight of the content contributes to facilitate the operation, with all the more effieacité that this content is heavier. Fig. 3 shows the packaging device, with its contents, closed and ready for transport.

The variant embodiment consists in that in order to reduce the resistance to bending of the corner bellows 5, they have been hollowed out, as shown at 7, so that the sides of the recesses are substantially parallel to the sides. vertical edges of angles. The fold lines are then noticeably shorter, thus facilitating folding and less time-consuming assembly. In addition, the folding edges being shorter, they protrude less inside the closed box.

It should be noted that the cord 2, inseparable from each of the sheets, practically does not interfere with their stacking, when they are stored, the length of this cord being such that it is more or less stretched when the sheet is flat and that thus there cannot be, between the sheets, any accumulation of a floating net cord liable to create annoying excess thicknesses.

It is understood that the invention is not limited to strictly parallelepipedal packaging devices, but that it extends to all similar packaging devices, capable of affecting configurations taken matiques, truncated prism. , etc.

and, in general, to all packaging devices made from a sheet which, previously provided with fold lines, is capable of being shaped by the action of a cord engaged in the parts of said foldable sheet by folding, said cord serving both as an operating member for performing the folding and, after shaping of the packaging device, as a suspension handle for transport , the cord can also be, at this time, tied to the upper face of the box to prevent possible lifting of the cover.

The packaging device described has the advantage of not having any glued or stapled part and its. hermetic closure is achieved thanks to the diagonal crossing of the donut horn which applies the cover to the box and to the formation of a knot by means of this cord.
