Description
Ziegeldach.
Tiled roof. The subject of the present invention is a tiled roof with roof battens and tiles attached to them.
According to the invention, this tile roof is characterized in that one longitudinal edge of sheet metal strips of such width are attached to the roof battens that they cover the fastening end of the tiles of the next lower row of tiles.
The sheet metal strips arranged in this way provide additional protection for the lower roof structure against moisture and dust and thus also against rot.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
In the single figure of the drawing, which shows a section of a tiled roof, b are the usual roof battens, to which sheet metal strips c are fastened with their one longitudinal edge by means of nails d . a are the tiles which, as usual, have a nose on their upper end, by means of which they are suspended from the roof battens b. As can be seen from the figure, the Blechstrei fen c have such a width that they cover the fastening end of the bricks of the next lower row of bricks. Through this transversely extending under several bricks sheet metal strips one achieves the advantages mentioned in the introduction over a roof that is only covered with tiles.
The sheet metal strips expediently consist of aluminum or copper foil.
