Description

Fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation. Fig. 2 en est une vue de dessus.

Fig. 3 est une coupe par A-B de fig. 1.

Utensil for extracting juice from oranges, lemons and similar fruits. The invention relates to a utensil for extracting juice from oranges, lemons and similar fruits.

Such utensils are already known, consisting of a tube having a screw thread at its end, this screw thread being intended to be screwed into the fruit, which damages the skin of the latter. As a result, when the fruit is pressed to pour the juice through the tube, the skin of the fruit is torn off, through which the juice flows instead of it exiting completely through the tube.

The utensil forming the subject of the invention avoids this drawback. It is characterized by a frustoconical-shaped tube comprising helical slots extending to near its small base, while its large base is provided with a supporting collar extending by an outlet tube for the juice. , said frustoconical tube being intended to be planted by its small base in an orange or similar fruit and to be screwed into said fruit, the edges of said slits forming knives, the juice entering through these slits inside the tube. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the utensil forming the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is an elevation view thereof. Fig. 2 is a top view.

Fig. 3 is a section through A-B of FIG. 1. The utensil shown is constituted by a frustoconical tube 1, of rigid material, inal terable and odorless, for example stainless steel, aluminum, ebonite.

This frustoconical tube 1 is provided with two helical slots 2 extending to the proximity of its small base 3. The large base of the frustoconical tube 1 is provided with a support collar 4 extending by an outlet tube 5 for juice, the outer surface of this tube 5 having, in cross section, a polygonal shape. The edge of this tube 5 could also have a spout for the flow of juice.

The small base of the frustoconical tube 1 is closed by a conical part 6 but, in another embodiment, this small base could be open and present a cutting edge to facilitate the penetration of the tube into a fruit.

The utensil shown is used as follows: The conical part 6 is planted in an orange or a similar fruit and the frustoconical tube 1 is introduced into the fruit by a screwing movement, by acting on the handle by hand. tube. 5 whose outer surface, of polygonal section, facilitates gripping. During the introduction of the tube 1 into the fruit, the edges of the helical slots 2 form knives. Once tube 1 is inserted into the fruit, up to. that the support collar 4 comes into contact with the fruit, the fruit is then pressed and the juice enters the interior of the tube 1 through the slots 2. It can be poured into a utensil through the outlet tube 5.

Thus, due to the fact that the outer surface of the tube 1 does not have a screw thread, tearing of the skin is not to be feared during the penetration of the tube 1 and the juice will flow entirely through the inside of the tube. tube.
