Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr.<B>229185.</B> Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Azofarbstoffes. Es wurde ,gefunden, dass man einen neuen Azofarbstoff erhält, wenn man das 2-Oxy- 5'-methyl-4'-aminoazobenzol mit Bernstein- säureanhydrid in der Aminogruppe acyliert.
Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein gelbbraunes Pulver, das, sich in, Wasser mit gelber Farbe löst, und das Acetatkunstseide aus wässeri gem Bade in echten .gelben Tönen färbt. <I>Beispiel:</I> 22,7 Teile des 2-Oxy-5'-methyl-4'-amino- azobenzols, das man durch Diazotieren des p-Toluolsulfonsäureesters des 1-Oxy-2-amino- benzols, Kuppeln :
dieser Diazoverbindung mit der co-Methansulfonsäure des 1-Amino-2- methylbenzols, Abspaltung .der Toluolsulfon- säure und der co-Methansulfon:säure, erhält, werden in 150 Teilen Benzol mit 11 Teilen Bernsteinsäurea,nhydrid während etwa zwei Stunden bei 65-70 behandelt.
Darnach wird das Benzol abdestilliert und der Rückstand in 500 Teilen Wasser mit Ammoniak in Lö sung ,gebracht. Daraus wird der Farbstoff mit Kochsalz als Ammoniumsalz ausgefällt, abgenutscht und im Vakuum getrocknet.

The new dye forms a yellow-brown powder, which dissolves in water with a yellow color and dyes the acetate artificial silk from aqueous baths in real yellow tones. <I> Example: </I> 22.7 parts of 2-oxy-5'-methyl-4'-aminazobenzene, which is coupled by diazotizing the p-toluenesulfonic acid ester of 1-oxy-2-aminobenzene :
This diazo compound with the co-methanesulphonic acid of 1-amino-2-methylbenzene, elimination of the toluenesulphonic acid and the co-methanesulphonic acid, are obtained in 150 parts of benzene with 11 parts of succinic acid anhydride for about two hours at 65- 70 treated.
The benzene is then distilled off and the residue is dissolved in 500 parts of water with ammonia. The dyestuff is precipitated as the ammonium salt with sodium chloride, filtered off with suction and dried in vacuo.
