Description
Cooling air supply device on streamlined vehicles with a rear engine. The difficulties with the supply: the cooling air on streamlined driving eugen with rear engine are known. The rear-engined witnesses are known. The accommodation of the engine in the rear of the vehicle has the consequence that the supply of cooling air from the front end of the vehicle is more difficult, since the associated guide channels otherwise take up too much space in the actual body.
For this reason, the cooling air is usually only sucked in behind: the actual usable space of the body, but where: during the journey it s on the upper rear wall: the body and also closed. Both sides of the vehicle, the air flow creates a negative pressure on the body walls, which acts directly against: the penetration of cooling air into the associated openings.
The only point where there is overpressure on the body surface at the rear is its underside, and it has therefore already been proposed to open the inlet openings for the cooling fragrance on the underside of the body, e.g.
B. under: the back wärtigen seats to attach. The entire width of the vehicle can also be used on the underside of the body so that the inlets made over the entire width are able to deliver a sufficient quantity of cooling air.
The only disadvantage of this arrangement is the fact that when it rains and on muddy terrain, the vehicle wheels splash water and contaminants can penetrate into these openings and get through them into the engine compartment.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate this problem in that: the openings through which the cooling fragrance penetrates from the outside into .the body, in vertical,: the vehicle longitudinal center plane facing areas of projections are attached to the flat underside of the body , whereby guide surfaces are provided for the air entering these openings, -the in:
an arc from the longitudinal center plane dress vehicle to these openings.
The accompanying drawing shows a schematic, book: an embodiment of the subject of the invention in perspective view, the vehicle from below.
On: the flat underside 1 of the vehicle are to avoid sides close to the rear wheels 2 hollow projections 3 angeord net, whose surfaces 4 facing the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle are provided with openings 5 through which the air in the interior Body penetrates to the rear engine compartment. From: the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, guide surfaces 6 arranged in an arc run to these projections 3 so that the air compressed under the vehicle during travel is directed into the openings 5.
Advantageously, the front jumps 3 and the surfaces 6 with the sheet metal bodlen of the vehicle are pressed in one piece ge, whereby this floor is well stiffened.
It is clear that the openings 5 are placed completely outside the direction of the water and manure sprayed by the carriages and that a significant air pressure is achieved by driving under your vehicle, whereby the air through the openings 5 into the engine compartment is pressed, which makes the motor fan work
