Description
Einrichtung an Fahrzeugen mit Heckmotor zur Kühlung desselben durch ein Achsialgebläse. Bei Fahrzeugen mit Heckmotor wird die Kühlluft in den Motorraum vielfach durch oberhalb des Motors vor diesem etwa zwi schen dem Ende des Daches der eigentlichen Karosserie und dem vordern Rand des Mo tordeckels befindliche Schlitze zugeführt, wobei die Gebläse so angeordnet sind, dass die Kühlluft mehrere Male die Richtung ändern muss, was stets einen Widerstand und dadurch eine Verschlechterung der Kühlwir kung der Luft bedeutet. Aus diesem Grunde ist es vorteilhaft, für die Zuführung der Kühlluft Achsialgebläse zu benutzen, weil diese die Richtung des Luftstromes fast gar nicht ändern, während ein Radialgebläse die Richtung der Luft direkt im rechten Winkel ändert.
Gemäss der Erfindung ist bei Verwen dung eines Achsialgebläses dieses in der Längsrichtung eines Luftleitkanals angeord net, der die Luft von den Eintrittsschlitzen oberhalb des Motors vor diesem schräg nach unten zu Luftaustrittslöchern unter dem Motor führt. Vorteilhaft wird die schräg ge lagerte Gebläsewelle durch ein Kegelgetriebe von der Kurbelwelle des Motors angetrieben.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs beispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes schema tisch im Schnitt durch den rückwärtigen Karosserieteil eines stromlinienförmigen Fahrzeuges mit Heckmotor veranschaulicht.
Im rückwärtigen Teil 1 der stromlinien förmigen Karosserie 2 des Fahrzeuges ist der Motor ä mit dem Antrieb 4 der hintern Achsen und dem Schaltgetriebe 5 angeord net. Der Motordeckel 6 ist aufklappbar. Zwi schen seiner obern Kante 7 und dem Ende 8 des Daches der eigentlichen Karosserie be steht vor dem Motor ein Schlitz, durch wel chen die Luft in den Motorraum eindringt.
In dem schrägen Luftleitkanal <B>13</B> zwi schen dem Eintrittsschlitz und Öffnungen 14 unter dem Motor ist ein Achsialgebläse 9 in dessen Längsrichtung angeordnet, dessen Welle 10 schräg nach unten zum Motor führt, wo sie durch das Kegelgetriebe 11 an getrieben wird.
Der Pfeil 12 gibt die Richtung des Luft stromes an. Es ist ersichtlich, dass an Stelle des veranschaulichten vierzylindrigen Mo tors mit in waagrechter Ebene angeordneten Zylindern ein achtzylindriger Motor mit in V-Form angeordneten Zylindern Verwendung finden kann, wobei der Luftstrom in den Raum zwischen diesen Zylindern eindringt und an den Kühlrippen vorbei nach unten strömt, um ebenso wie bei der veranschau lichten Ausführung unterhalb des Motors nach aussen zu gelangen.

The obliquely mounted fan shaft is advantageously driven by a bevel gear from the crankshaft of the engine.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is schematically illustrated in section through the rear body part of a streamlined vehicle with a rear engine.
In the rear part 1 of the streamlined body 2 of the vehicle, the motor - with the drive 4 of the rear axles and the gearbox 5 is angeord net. The motor cover 6 can be opened. Between tween its upper edge 7 and the end 8 of the roof of the actual body be in front of the engine is a slot through which the air penetrates into the engine compartment.
In the inclined air duct <B> 13 </B> between the inlet slot and openings 14 under the motor, an axial fan 9 is arranged in its longitudinal direction, the shaft 10 of which leads obliquely down to the motor, where it is driven by the bevel gear 11 .
The arrow 12 indicates the direction of the air flow. It can be seen that instead of the illustrated four-cylinder motor with cylinders arranged in a horizontal plane, an eight-cylinder motor with cylinders arranged in a V shape can be used, the air flow penetrating the space between these cylinders and flowing down past the cooling fins to get to the outside just like in the illustrated version below the engine.
