Description
Process for the production of a concrete containing fibrous substances. The invention relates to a method for producing a fibrous materials ent containing concrete, which z. B. for the manufacture of lightweight and insulating Plat th and other components can be used. It is known to mineralize the fibrous materials used to manufacture such concrete, that is to say to make them more resistant to external influences. However, it has been shown that, depending on the additives used to treat the fiber-containing material, a concrete produced in this way has an oxidizing effect on, for example, water pipes laid in it, for metallic fasteners, etc.
In addition, the adhesion of the binder to such mineralized, fiber-containing substances is incomplete and the Ilerstellungs- process require a heat and pressure treatment, which results in expensive manufacturing plants; Furthermore, long deformation times are required for the structural elements made with such concrete.
With the method according to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided by pretreating the fiber-containing substances with aluminum sulfate solution and milk of lime and then mixing them with a binding agent to produce the concrete. The treatment of the fibrous materials with an aluminum sulphate solution causes these materials to be soaked and softened in a very short time. The milk of lime completes the impregnation of the fibrous substances.
As a result of this treatment, these become resistant to decay and attack by insects and are fire-retardant.
As fibrous substances, vegetable substances such as. B. wood waste, wood shavings, wood wool,! \ Roof fibers, straw and the like., As well as animal fibers, z. B. animal hair, or a mixture of vegetable, fibrous substances and animal fibers can be used.
Suitable binders are: cement, gypsum, hydraulic lime, white lime, or a mixture of some of these substances, e.g. B. cement and lime: the binder can at least partly also consist of waste lime, e.g. B. made of carbide sludge of acetylene gas manufacture.
Conveniently, aggregates are added to the concrete mixture, and sand, slag, crushed brick, tuff, pumice, synthetic pumice and the like come into consideration.
To reduce the volume weight, a small amount of hydrogen peroxide and man-21 in suspension is expediently added to the concrete mix.
The process can be carried out, for example, as follows: 2 0 parts by volume of wood shavings 1 part by volume of aluminum sulfate solution of 10 "8e is added. After evenly soaking, 1 part by volume of milk of lime is added. The fibrous material thus pretreated becomes 6 parts by volume of cement Sand and water are added and, after thorough mixing, the concrete produced in this way can be processed into molded bodies.
