Description

  

  Roue pour véhicules.    La présente invention concerne une roue  pour véhicules, notamment pour trains d'at  terrissage d'avions, dans laquelle les organes  de freinages ont logés entre la     jante    et     l'es-          sien    à l'intérieur de deux     flasques,    la jante  s'étendant entre les     deux    flasques et compor  tant au moins une partie faisant partie inté  grante de l'un de ces     flasques.     



  Le dessin ci-joint montre, à titre d'exem  ple, .deux formes d'exécution de l'objet de  l'invention.  



  La     fig.    1 représente une roue vue de pro  fil, dont. la. partie supérieure     .est    coupée.  La fi-. 2 représente la même roue, vue  de face, dont la partie supérieure est coupée.  La     fig.    3 représente, partiellement et en  coupe, la deuxième forme d'exécution.  



  La roue représentée sur les     fig.    1 et 2  comporte deux     flasques    1 et 2, solidaires cha  cun d'une partie 3, 4, dont l'ensemble forme  une jante et dont le raccord des parties 3, 4    s'effectue sur une surface développable,  dans le sens     géométrique    du     terme,    ici plane,       mais    qui pourrait également être conique par  exemple.

   L'expérience a, en effet, montré  qu'aucun effort notable de flexion ne s'exer  çait sur les     parties.    3., 4 et que la résistance       des    goujons 5, de fixation des deux parties,  suffisait à absorber les efforts exercés sur la       jante    sans qu'il soit nécessaire de prévoir un  encastrement des deux parties à joindre.  



  Des logements 6 peuvent également être  ménagés dans 'les parties 3, 4 de la jante, ou  dans une seulement de ces     parties    (ici     .dans    la  partie 3)     permettant    d'y fixer, par les gou  jons 5, un tambour de frein 7 au moyen des  oreilles 8 (représenté sur la     fig.    1 avec une  cassure).     Ce    tambour de frein repose :sur des  bossages 9 ménagés sur les pièces 3, 4 dans  lesquelles passent les goujons 5, ce qui a pour  résultat de ménager, entre le tambour de  frein et la jante,     des.        évidements    dans:

   lesquels  a lieu une circulation d'air de refroidisse-           rirent,        accélérée    au besoin par des ailettes  fixées sur les flasques des roue.  



  De     plus,    afin que la chaleur de freinage  ne soit pas communiquée à la. jante 3, 4 et  au pneumatique, la     surface    de la jante 3, 4,  en regard du tambour de frein, est peinte en  blanc.  



  Puisqu'un seul des flasques est muni d'un  dispositif lui permettant de transmettre à  l'essieu les efforts axiaux agissant sur la  roue, par exemple d'un roulement à billes ou  d'un ensemble de deux paliers     coniques,    l'au  tre flasque. qui ne supporte que les efforts  radiaux pourra. avoir des dimensions relati  vement faibles.  



  Dans la     fig.    3, le pneumatique 21 repose  sur une jante     2'2    venue de fonderie avec le  flasque de droite de la roue désignée par 23  qui est. de     construction    suffisamment solide  pour résister à l'ensemble des     efforts    axiaux  supportés     par    'la roue.

   U n flasque 24, de  dimensions plus faibles et fixé à la, jante 22,  repose sur l'essieu 2.5 par l'intermédiaire d'un  roulement à aiguilles 26.     Le        flasque    23 est  monté sur un roulement semblable 27 et     com-          porte,    en plus, un roulement à billes 28     suis-          ceptible    de transmettre à l'essieu 25 les  efforts axiaux subis par la roue.

   Dans     cette     construction, il reste entre les deux flasques  un grand     espace    pour y 'loger, par exemple,  un     tube    de freinage qui sera placé en 29  et qui reposera sur un     support    30 calé sur  l'essieu.  



  Le roulement à billes 28 pourrait être       remplacé    par un autre roulement de butée,  par exemple par deux roulements coniques.  



       Cette    réalisation présente, par rapport  aux     réalisations    dans     lesquelles        les,    deux flas  ques     supportent    et transmettent. des efforts  radiaux et axiaux,     l'avantage    de ménager  plus de place aux organes de freinage     dispo-          s6s.    à l'intérieur des deux flasques entre la       jante    et le moyeu.  



  Le dispositif de freinage dont est muni  la roue selon     fig.    1 est du type à segments  appuyés sur un tambour de frein par une  chambre à air gonflable<B>10</B> (fi,. 1). Un con  duit 11 est muni d'un filetage à sa partie    proche de la chambre à air. Un écrou à em  base 12 est. vissé :sur ce filetage; le raccord  du conduit 11 et de la canalisation de gon  flage 13 se fait sur la partie fixe du moyeu  au moyen d'une bague plastique 14, dans la  quelle débouche la canalisation 13 et sur la  quelle on vient appuyer l'extrémité du con  duit     l'1    légèrement mobile en vissant l'écrou  à embase le long du     conduit,        cet    écrou pre  nant appui sur le support fixe 15 de la cham  bre à air.

   Au lieu d'utiliser un conduit fileté  extérieurement et un écrou prenant appui sur  le support 15, on peut: munir le conduit d'une  butée sur     laquelle    peut     prendre    appui un res  sort s'appuyant, d'autre part, sur le support  fixe des     organes    de     freinage.

  The wheel shown in fig. 1 and 2 comprises two flanges 1 and 2, each integral with a part 3, 4, the whole of which forms a rim and the connection of parts 3, 4 of which is effected on a developable surface, in the geometric direction of the term, here plane, but which could also be conical for example.

   Experience has, in fact, shown that no significant bending force was exerted on the parts. 3, 4 and that the resistance of the studs 5, fixing the two parts, was sufficient to absorb the forces exerted on the rim without it being necessary to provide a fitting of the two parts to be joined.



  Housing 6 can also be provided in 'parts 3, 4 of the rim, or in only one of these parts (here. In part 3) making it possible to fix therein, by the studs 5, a brake drum 7. by means of the ears 8 (shown in fig. 1 with a break). This brake drum rests: on bosses 9 formed on the parts 3, 4 in which the studs 5 pass, which has the result of providing, between the brake drum and the rim, of. recesses in:

   which circulates cooling air, accelerated if necessary by fins attached to the wheel flanges.



  In addition, so that the braking heat is not communicated to the. rim 3, 4 and on the tire, the surface of the rim 3, 4, facing the brake drum, is painted white.



  Since only one of the flanges is fitted with a device enabling it to transmit to the axle the axial forces acting on the wheel, for example of a ball bearing or of a set of two conical bearings, the other flaccid. which supports only radial forces can. have relatively small dimensions.



  In fig. 3, the tire 21 rests on a rim 2'2 from the foundry with the right flange of the wheel designated by 23 which is. of sufficiently strong construction to withstand all of the axial forces supported by the wheel.

   A flange 24, of smaller dimensions and fixed to the rim 22, rests on the axle 2.5 by means of a needle bearing 26. The flange 23 is mounted on a similar bearing 27 and comprises, in addition, a ball bearing 28 is able to transmit to the axle 25 the axial forces undergone by the wheel.

   In this construction, there remains between the two flanges a large space to house there, for example, a brake tube which will be placed at 29 and which will rest on a support 30 wedged on the axle.



  The ball bearing 28 could be replaced by another thrust bearing, for example by two tapered bearings.



       This embodiment presents, compared to the embodiments in which the, two flanges ques support and transmit. radial and axial forces, the advantage of leaving more space for the braking members available. inside the two flanges between the rim and the hub.



  The braking device fitted to the wheel according to fig. 1 is of the type with segments supported on a brake drum by an inflatable air chamber <B> 10 </B> (fi ,. 1). A duct 11 is provided with a thread at its part close to the air chamber.
