Description

Rocket for projectile. The object of the present invention is a rocket for projectile. This fuze is characterized by a base in two parts, one of which is fixed to the projectile and the other of which can, thanks to a ball bearing, rotate relative to the first around the axis of the projectile, by a casing which can be rotated around said axis and with respect to this second part and by a mainspring connected at one end to this casing and the other end of which is connected to a brake regulator device mounted on the second part of the base, and controlling a percussion device capable of rotating around the axis of the projectile,

a sleeve which is disposed coaxially with this axis and which can slide parallel to the latter, being disposed around the percussion device and being mounted so that, when the shot is fired, it releases the brake of the balance of the regulating device.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 1 is an axial section thereof and FIG. 2 is a section through II-II of FIG. 1.

The rocket shown comprises a base in two parts 1 and 2; part 1 is screwed onto the projectile, part 2 can rotate relative to part 1 around the axis of the projectile, thanks to a ball bearing 3. This part 2 carries a casing 4 that can be rotated at hand in relation to part 2 around the axis of the projectile. 5 is a mainspring, the outer end of which is connected to the housing 4 and the inner end of which rotates the shaft 6, the axis of which coincides with that of the projectile. On this shaft is fixed the frame-7 of the percussion device, as well as a toothed wheel 8 connected by a gear to a balance 9 carried by part 2 of the aforementioned base. This balance is normally kept immobile by a brake, not shown.

10 is a sleeve surrounding the percussion device, which can slide parallel to the axis of the projectile and which, at rest, is held in the position shown in FIG. 1 by the springs 11. 12 is the primer. In the small frame 7 slide a piston 13, which a spring 14 constantly tends to push outwards. This piston has a ga let 15, by which it rolls on the internal face of the sleeve 10 and two percussion points 16.

At rest, the piston 13 is opposite the primer to arm the rocket, the casing 4 is rotated by hand relative to part 2 of the base, by the desired angle, which arms the mainspring 5, a snap, not shown, preventing it from disarming.

When the shell leaves, the sleeve 10, by inertia, is released from the springs 11 and descends; in this movement, it acts on the brake, not shown, of the balance and releases the latter; from this moment, the mainspring can relax by its inner end which rotates the frame 7 until the piston has returned to face the primer. At this moment, the roller 15 and the percussion points 1d are located opposite windows made in the sleeve 10 which they can pass through and which allow the points to act on the primer.

Thanks to the bearing 3, the rotation of the projectile has little influence on the mechanism described above.
