Description
in.
Liquid heater. Liquid heaters, e.g. B. Boilers are known that use electrically heated heating lamellas or electrical heating plates built into the bottom of the housing to heat the water stored in the container. Since these heating devices work with insufficient useful effect due to unfavorable heat transfer,
these are usually only kept in operation during the night, i.e. with the cheaper night-time electricity. Nevertheless, these boilers are very often perceived as being too expensive to operate and the tenants simply put them out of operation.
The present invention now relates to a liquid heater which takes into account the above-mentioned drawback by heating any liquid in the fastest and most rational manner possible.
According to the invention, the liquid heater is characterized in that in the liquid container at least two free-standing electrodes are arranged on all sides around flushed electrodes from the liquid to be heated and acting as a resistance.
The subject of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in an exemplary embodiment, namely shows: Fig. 1 the liquid heater in the form of a boiler:
in. View, partly broken out in section, Fig. 2 .the container bottom with three in .ihm inserted, free-standing electrodes, while Fig. 3 illustrates an electrode in plate form with approach.
The illustrated liquid heater 1, a boiler, has an outer jacket 2 and an inner jacket 3, and a thermal insulation layer 4, 5 located between the two jackets, branches the bottom of the tank, 6 the water supply line and 7 the water drainage line, which is centrally located.
In the liquid container 8 there are, for example, plate-shaped electrodes 9 made of sheet copper. These are absolutely free-standing in the space 8, and are attached to the liquid on all sides. By means of lugs 10, they penetrate the container bottom 5 in an electrically insulated manner, to which lugs the electrical conductors 11 are connected.
) Vie the Fig. 2 shows, the electric 9 are arranged in a triangle. In this way, the liquid to be heated and acting as a resistance can unhinderedly wash around the electrodes 9 on all sides or. circulate between these. The exemplary embodiment shows three electrodes; but it can also be seen only two electrodes 9 before.
The arrangement of the electrodes 9 in relation to one another can of course be any, depending on the type and amount of liquid and the shape of the container.
The liquid heater described can be used in industry, in particular in the chemical industry, in central heating systems or for hot water supply. The electrodes can also consist of another suitable material instead of copper.
