Description

Impactable, tubular, metal wall dowel sleeve for fastening screws, hooks or the like in walls made of soft building materials. The previously known, knock-in wall dowel sleeves have the disadvantage that either a spreading of the tips to achieve a secure hold is not possible at all, or that jagged ends single Lich a protection against rotation, or as a result of too short execution of the prongs and too large Wall thickness of the dowel sleeve does not guarantee a firm hold in other versions.

In some cases, two or more prongs are caused by the fact that the tips require a deeper layer of hard stone when hammering into soft plastered walls, which prevents further penetration and causes the prongs to bend apart. None of these types of dowels can therefore be used for extremely soft walls, such as those made of plaster of paris, lime mortar, clay or the like, since they do not provide a firm hold and often damage walls and plaster by breaking.

The present invention eliminates these disadvantages in that a knock-in, tubular, metal wall dowel sleeve has pointed prongs at the end to be hammered in, which when the sleeve is hammered into soft wall building material bend outward in the radial direction with claws for the purpose of a firm hold.

The illustrated embodiment of the subject matter of the invention has a tubular dowel sleeve e (Fig. 1) with thin-walled, slender tips a made of metal, the prongs of which are slightly spread, so that the tips lie on a circle that has a diameter of the sleeve e has a smaller larger diameter, so that the direction of the spreading is made as much as possible in the impact. If this sleeve with the tips ahead in soft plaster, z.

   B. made of plaster of paris, lime mortar, clay or the like, so the tips ac spread within the wall building material d, as shown in Fig. 2, and bend claw-shaped in the direction of the sleeve radius, with the inside of the tip circle b compressed volume of the wall building material not only has a promoting effect on the bending of the tips, but also ensures that the tips are extremely tight ae. The dowel sleeve is thus not only secured against rotation, but also at the same time against pulling out.

The interior of the dowel sleeve e can be provided with a thread or the like in a known manner and thus serve to accommodate screws, hooks, eyes or the like. The large expansion of the diameter of the tip crown has the consequence that there is considerable resistance to the turning of screws, whereby holding devices to be screwed in can be tightened firmly.
