Description

Membranmanometer .

Diaphragm pressure gauge. There are often required pressure gauges which are set up in such a way that they can withstand pressure increases that are a multiple of the scale division. In particular, manometers come into question here, which have a relatively low scale graduation, up to about 2-4 atmospheres. have, and then in operation pressure loads of up to 60 Atü. have to endure without affecting their display accuracy.

Among other things, membrane manoneters with a protective plate between the grooved membrane and the housing wall are used. It has been shown that with these known diaphragm pressure gauges the grooves of the mostly very thin-walled diaphragm push through when overloaded due to the relatively high surface load on the flat protective plate and suffer permanent changes in shape, so that these pressure gauges no longer display correctly when the pressure is released.

The present invention relates to a diaphragm manometer of the type mentioned at the outset, which does not have the stated disadvantage. The invention consists in that grooves are provided in this plate which correspond in shape and size to the grooves in the membrane.

The drawing shows a Ausführungsbei game of the subject invention in section. The membrane is designated with a. Between the same and the housing wall c there is the protective plate b, which is embossed with the same stamping die and consists of thicker sheet metal. The membrane a rests against this when the deflection corresponding to the scale division is reached. The grooves of the protective plate correspond to the grooves of the membrane in shape and size, as the same die was used. When the membrane is in contact, groove fits exactly on groove, and any permanent change in shape of the pressure gauge membrane is definitely avoided.
