Description
Device for utilizing waste heat from internal combustion engines. The subject of the present invention is the device for etching out the waste heat from internal combustion engines, in which a fan is coupled to the machine and this is arranged with its exhaust line in a housing, which is provided with an air inlet opening and an air outlet opening. The advantages of this device are that no special heat source and no special drive for the fan are necessary.
The device can be used wherever an internal combustion engine is available and does not require any special operation.
The subject matter of the present invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawings, although the drawing shows a section through the housing surrounding the engine and the exhaust pipe.
In the case of an air-cooled combustion engine 1 , a fan is built into the flywheel 2 and the exhaust line 3 is designed as a heating coil. The machine, the fan and the exhaust line are arranged in a housing 5 with the air inlet opening 6 and the air outlet opening 7 . The line 4 leading to the point of use is connected to the outlet opening 7, which is provided there with air outlet openings 8.
The way the present device works is as follows: When the motor 1 is running, the fan 2 sucks in air through the inlet opening 6 which is attached to the hot cooling fins of the motor < B> 1 and is routed to the exhaust pipe. The air is heated here and this heated air is fed to the line 4 connected to the outlet opening 7, which the heated air leaves through the openings 8 in order to dry ventilation or for heating to serve.
If desired, hot exhaust gases can also be added to this heated air stream.
