Description
Packaging containing peat litter or peat litter. Litter peat has hitherto generally been brought into a form suitable for shipping and sale in such a way that it has been pressed into bales about 100 cm long and 60 cm wide. The pellets were then put into circulation by means of slats placed on the side and wrapped around the slats with wires.
Smaller peat packs were not previously known. The present innovation now has the purpose of making it possible or easier for small consumers to obtain peat litter or peat litter.
The invention consists in that an amount of peat weighing at most 15 kg is completely encased. The peat material is expediently compressed in order to be able to accommodate as much peat as possible in small containers. Cardboard boxes, sacks, cans, etc. are used as packaging material.
This form of shipping and packaging makes it possible to make the most desirable and important use of the litter peat accessible in many areas, and also has the advantage of avoiding or otherwise significant loss of material due to dusting or crumbling with such small units at least to reduce it to a minimum.
In the following drawing, the subject of the innovation is shown for example. Fig. 1 shows a package a with a laid peat mass b in plan view, Fig. 2 in cross section.
The peat can also contain additives suitable for the specific purpose, e.g. artificial fertilizers for gardening and agriculture, disinfectants, etc.
