Description

  

  Vorrichtung zum Schutze gegen das Eindringen von Nägeln und dergleichen  in die Schläuche von Luftreifen für Fahrzeugräder.    Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist  eine Vorrichtung zum Schutze gegen das  Eindringen von Nägeln und dergleichen in  die Schläuche von Luftreifen für Fahrzeug  räder.  



  Auf beiliegender Zeichnung sind die  Fig. 1 und 3 Querschnitte, und  Fig. 2 und 4 Längsschnitte durch zwei  in Luftreifen eines Fahrzeugrades einmontierte  Ausführungsbeispiele, und zwar zeigt  Fig. 1 und 2 eine erste, und  Fig. 3 und 4 eine zweite Ausführungsart.  Jede der gezeichneten Vorrichtungen be  sitzt ein Band 1 als Unterlage, auf welchem  gliederartig Segmente 2 aus Metall oder  einem andern genügend widerstandsfähigen  Material derart befestigt sind, dass diese  aufeinanderfolgenden Segmente eine flexible  Kette bilden, wobei zwischen den einzelnen  Gliedern keine Zwischenräume in radialer  Richtung vorhanden sind. Im Querschnitt  gesehen, sind die Segmente etwas konvex  nach aussen gewölbt, um sich der Form des    umschliessenden Mantels 3 anzupassen. 4 ist  der zu schützende Luftschlauch.  



  Von den verschiedenen möglichen Aus  bildungen der Segmente und ihren Anord  nungen sind zwei zeichnerisch dargestellt  und im Nachfolgenden beschrieben.  



  Im ersten Ausführungsbeispiel sind alle  Segmente gleich weit entfernt von der Achse  angeordnet. Jedes greift mit einem aufgebo  genen Lappen über das nächstfolgende.  



  lm zweiten Beispiel sind die Segmente  in zwei Gruppen eingeteilt. Die Segmente  der einen Gruppe liegen alternierend über  den Segmenten der andern, wobei jeweilen  die beiden Enden der aussenliegenden Seg  mente die Enden der innern überdecken.  



  Die Befestigung der Segmente auf der  Unterlage kann durch Nieten, Riemenschrau  ben, oder andere passende Verbindungsmittel  geschehen (in der Zeichnung nur durch strich  punktierte Mittellinien angedeutet). Die Unter  lage kann am Mantel befestigt werden.

  1 and 3 are cross-sections and FIGS. 2 and 4 are longitudinal sections through two exemplary embodiments installed in the pneumatic tire of a vehicle wheel, namely, FIGS. 1 and 2 show a first embodiment and FIGS. 3 and 4 show a second embodiment. Each of the devices shown be seated a band 1 as a base on which link-like segments 2 made of metal or another sufficiently resistant material are attached in such a way that these successive segments form a flexible chain, with no gaps in the radial direction between the individual links . Seen in cross-section, the segments are slightly convex outwardly in order to adapt to the shape of the surrounding jacket 3. 4 is the air hose to be protected.



  Two of the various possible configurations of the segments and their arrangements are shown in the drawing and described below.



  In the first exemplary embodiment, all segments are arranged at the same distance from the axis. Each one grabs the next one with an open flap.



  In the second example, the segments are divided into two groups. The segments of one group lie alternately over the segments of the other, with the two ends of the outer segments covering the ends of the inner ones.



  The segments can be attached to the base using rivets, belt screws, or other suitable connecting means (indicated in the drawing only by dash-dotted center lines). The pad can be attached to the jacket.

PATENT CLAIM: Device for protection against the penetration of nails and the like into the tubes of pneumatic tires for vehicle wheels, characterized by a row of segments that are convexly bent outwards in cross-section and that overlap each other, to be inserted between the jacket and the air tube. SUBClaims: 1. Device according to claim, characterized in that the segments each have a bent end with which they cover the beginning of the next segment. 2.
