Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Küpenfarbstoffes    der     Thioindigoreihe.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen       Küpenfarbstoff    erhält, wenn man den     6.6'-          Dibrom-4.4'-dimethylthioindigo    chloriert. Die       Chlorierung    kann nach den üblichen Metho  den mit Chlor oder chlorabspaltenden Mitteln  durchgeführt werden. Bei Verwendung von  Chlor ist     Ohlorsulfonsäure,    beziehungsweise  ein Gemisch von     Chlorsulfonsäure        und        Schwe-          felsäuremonohydrat    ein sehr geeignetes Lö  sungsmittel.

   Der so erhaltene     5.5'-Dichlor-          6.6'-dibrom-4.4'-dimethylthioindigo    stellt ein  bordeauxrotes Pulver dar, das sich in     Chlor-          sulfonsäure    mit tiefgrüner Farbe löst. Mit       Hydrosulfit    und Natronlauge bildet er eine  gelbe     Küpe,    aus der Baumwolle in licht-,  koch- und chlorechten rotvioletten Tönen  angefärbt wird.  



       Beispiel     48 Gewichtsteile     6.6'-Dibroin-4.4'-di-          methylthioindigo    werden in 600 Gewichts  teilen Nitrobenzol suspendiert und auf 1400  erhitzt; bei dieser Temperatur lässt man eine    Lösung von 35-40 Teilen     Sulfurylchlorid    in  100 Teilen Nitrobenzol langsam     zutropfen.     Sobald die     Salzsäureentwicklung    zu Ende  ist, erhitzt man noch kurze Zeit auf<B>180',</B>  lässt erkalten, filtriert und wäscht mit Al  kohol nach.
