Description

Einrichtung für das Senden, bezw. Empfangen elektromagnetischer Wellen.

Device for sending, respectively. Receiving electromagnetic waves. In the transmission and reception apparatus for electromagnetic waves in use today, the antenna and counterweight are often arranged vertically one above the other. The actual apparatus, however, are then located outside of the vertical symmetry axis of the antenna and counterweight. As a rule, they are mounted on the ground or, in the case of transportable systems, often placed directly on the ground. The antenna and counterweight are then connected to the actual apparatus by special cables.

Such an arrangement results in an asymmetry that is disadvantageous for the efficiency of the system. The storage of the device close to the earth or the direct placement on the earth causes variable capacities which lead to disturbances.

The invention therefore provides a device for sending or receiving electromagnetic waves, consisting of an antenna, a transmitting or receiving apparatus and a counterweight, in which the apparatus and the antenna according to the invention are both raised above the earth together by a stand. This device allows the apparatus to be arranged in the vertical symmetry axis of the antenna and counterweight without the use of lines. The tripod can serve as a counterweight isolated from the earth. When using an earthing system, it can be routed via the tripod.

Variable capacities between the apparatus and the ground, which give rise to disruptions, are avoided since the apparatus is held at a sufficiently large and specific distance by the stand.

The accompanying drawing shows a special version of this device. G is a tripod made of metal, such as is used for photography equipment. The stand carries the transmitting or receiving apparatus S and the antenna 9 is attached vertically above it.

In the event that the tripod is to serve as a counterweight, the ends of its legs are designed as isolators I; Instead of metal, the tripod can also be made of wood or any other poorly or non-conductive material, but if it is to be used as a counterweight, it must be provided with appropriate metal fittings or fittings.

The arrangement described can be mainly used as a portable short wave transmitter and receiver.
