Abstract

Un thermostat comprend un boîtier, une interface utilisateur et un système de traitement configuré pour commander un système de chauffage, ventilation et climatisation (CVC) en utilisant des valeurs de point de régulage de température. Le thermostat peut également comporter une pluralité de connecteurs CVC configurés pour recevoir des fils de commande CVC correspondants, et un module de détection de connexion configuré pour déterminer les identités de connecteurs CVC dans lesquels des fils correspondants ont été insérés. Le système de traitement peut en outre être configuré pour identifier, sur la base du sous-ensemble de connecteurs CVC, si (i) une seule configuration possible du système CVC est ainsi indiquée ou (ii) si de multiples configurations possibles du système CVC sont ainsi indiquées, résoudre une configuration particulière parmi celles possibles du système CVC pouvant être appliquée sur la base dune réponse de lutilisateur ou de lutilisatrice à une demande présentée sur linterface utilisateur, et faire fonctionner le système CVC conformément à la configuration du système CVC.
