Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de traiter des déblais de pétrole/sable générés lors du développement de puits de pétrole pour réduire leur teneur en pétrole. Une bouillie est composée des déblais de pétrole/sable et la bouillie est sonifiée à l'aide d'un réacteur sonique pour libérer des hydrocarbures entraînés flottables. Les matières solides sont séparées de la bouillie sonifiée et sont suffisamment propres pour retourner dans l'environnement. Le pétrole récupéré est réutilisable dans des applications de pétrole en vrac industrielles.
