Description
SILICONE-COATED PAPER BAKING MOLD AND ITS
FABRICATION METHOD
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention:
The present invention relates to paper baking molds and more particularly, to a silicone-coated paper baking mold. The invention relates also to the fabrication of the silicone-coated paper baking mold.
2. Description of the Related Art:
When making a cake, the most important step is to put the prepared material in a predetermined container and the container is then used as a bakeware for baking the contained material.
Regular bakeware may be prepared by paper or tin foil for the advantage of low cost and material availability. However, a paper or tin foil bakeware is not reusable. A paper or tin foil bakeware is not environmentally friendly because it must be thrown away after one use. Further, a paper or tin foil bakeware may be twisted or deformed accidentally during application. Further, a paper or tin foil bakeware is adherent after stripping.
Wood, metal, stainless steel or plastic materials may be used for making bakeware. However, these materials are heavy, expensive, not environmentally friendly, and not easy to strip or to wash.
Further, most of the aforesaid materials are water absorptive and tend to get moisturized. When moisturized, these materials may become musty.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is main object of the present invention to provide a silicone-coated paper baking mold and its fabrication method, which facilitates mold stripping, keeping the baked cake intact.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a silicone-coated paper baking mold and its fabrication method, which allows repeated use of the mold, saving the cost and achieving a green economy.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a silicone-coated paper baking mold and its fabrication method, which facilitates making different colors and shapes of baking molds.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a silicone-coated paper baking mold and its fabrication method, which assures safety during baking and avoids the baked foods from becoming damp and musty during storage.
To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, a silicone-coated paper baking mold comprises a paper baking mold =
body, and a silicone rubber coating coated on the whole surface of the paper baking mold body.
Further, the paper baking mold body can be selected from a colored heat resistant paper sheet.
Further, the silicone rubber coating comprises multiple layers.
To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, a method of making a silicone-coated paper baking mold includes the step of coating a layer of liquid silicone rubber on a heat resistant paper sheet, the step of cutting the layer of liquid silicone rubber, the step of cutting the silicone rubber-coated heat resistant paper sheet into a shaped paper, and the step of folding up the shaped paper into a silicone-coated paper baking mold.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
The invention is to evenly spray liquid silicone rubber onto the surface of a piece of paper. The paper material is heat resistant.
After coating with silicone rubber, the paper is cut subject to a predetermined pattern, subsequence cutting and shape forming steps are performed. Thus, a silicone-coated paper baking mold in accordance with the present invention comprises a paper baking mold body, and a silicone rubber coating coated on the whole surface of the paper baking mold body.
A method of making a silicone-coated paper baking mold in accordance with the present invention includes the steps:
(a) preparing a heat resistant paper sheet (paper-based material) and then coating a layer of liquid silicone rubber, in thickness about 0.05mm, on the surface of the heat resistant paper sheet (paper-based material) by means of, for example, a spray coating equipment;
(b) sending the silicone rubber-coated heat resistant paper sheet to a baking equipment (baking oven) by, for example, a belt conveyer, and then heating the silicone rubber-coated heat resistant

4 paper sheet at temperature about 100-120 C for about 5-6 minutes to cure the silicone rubber coating;
(c) taking the silicone rubber-coated heat resistant paper sheet out of the baking equipment (baking oven), and then cutting the silicone rubber-coated heat resistant paper sheet into a shaped paper subject to a predetermined pattern; and (d) folding up the shaped paper into shape, forming the desired silicone-coated paper baking mold.
FIG. 1 illustrates the extended status of the silicone rubber-coated heat resistant paper sheet, referenced by 10, carrying a layer of silicone rubber coating 11. The silicone rubber-coated heat resistant paper sheet 10 can be folded up, forming a rectangular silicone-coated paper baking mold 10A, as shown in FIG. 1A. FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate a square silicone-coated paper baking mold 101 and a circular silicone-coated paper baking mold 102 made according to the present invention. These examples are simply examples for understanding only. The invention is also practical for making silicone-coated paper baking molds in any of a variety of other shapes, such as elliptical, triangular, or any other polygonal shape.
Further, fastening means 103, such as adhesive, heat resistant threads, nails, snaps, and/or rings may be used to affix overlapped part of the silicone-coated paper baking mold 10A, 101

5 or 102.
Further, before coating of the liquid silicone rubber, the heat resistant paper sheet (paper-based material) can be colored.
Further, the aforesaid liquid silicone rubber coating step may be repeated to form multiple layers of liquid silicone rubber on the surface of a heat resistant paper sheet (paper-based material), enhancing the durability of the product for repeated use.
As the silicone-coated paper baking mold made in accordance with the present invention is a paper-based product, it allows repeated use to save the cost and to achieve a green economy, facilitates washing, assures safety during baking and avoids the baked foods from becoming damp and musty during storage. When the silicone-coated paper baking mold is used for baking a cake or the like, it facilitates mold stripping, keeping the baked cake intact.
Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
